Things didn't go too well for a hoodlum facing sentencing in a Las Vegas courtroom. Rawsalerts tweeted:
Witness the shocking moment when a 30-year-old three-time felon, Deobra Redden, attacked a Las Vegas judge, forcing her to take cover and injuring a marshal in the process. Redden was present for sentencing on a charge of attempted battery with substantial bodily harm. As Judge Holthus was seated behind the bench, Redden suddenly ran up to her, jumped over the bench, and launched an attack. Several individuals intervened, engaging in a struggle with Redden before eventually subduing him and throwing him to the ground. An alarm sounded for several minutes during the incident, alerting others in the vicinity. A court marshal confirmed that Judge Holthus is unharmed, but another marshal involved in the altercation has been hospitalized.

i bet the defendant fell down a few flights of stairs after that ...
Obviously, it was all his mother’s fault for naming him Debora……
He seems nice.....
I hope he enjoys wearing orange!
In Russia a criminal defendant is put in a secure cage in the court room, so this doesn’t happen.
I guess he didn't know that he should have been sentenced in a Jackson "blessing" court.
Mother (or grandmother) was likely his best friend. This is why there is zero expectation of accountability in the modern world. Most youth for the last 30 years were taught they are not in any way beholden to any authority structure. Teachers? Professors? Supervisors? Managers? Law Enforcement Officers? Now, judges? Fuck all of them. Gonna get worse folks.
If a rabid dog attacks an adult - or especially a child - they are put down soon thereafter. No discussion.
QUICK....give this guy a Milky Way candy bar.
I’d have to give a perfect 10 on the dive

Guilty.
The liberal justice system allows this 3-time loser to be in court with no handcuffs on (Gives the appearance of guilty by wearing handcuffs). Glad this dude is off the streets for many years. I hate they have to warehouse these thugs on the taxpayer dime.
This seems to be happening more and more often.
Maybe it would be a good idea to shackle hands and feet of all defendants with records of violence during court proceedings. Of course we could do society a favor and seize the opportunity to just put them down like the rabid dogs they are.
Turn him over to casino security. DeNiro's people will take care of him. Lots of desert out there.
Looks like I will be the only one commenting on that truly remarkable leap over the judge’s bench. It was shoulder high. Any NFL special teams player would live to be able to jump like that trying to block a FG.
I really don't understand police engagement rules. Is lethal force not permitted when a judge is physically attacked in a court room?
Obviously what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas.
Snickers, dummy, Snickers
perfectly executed flying cross body maneuver. he cleared the top rope.send him to the WWE.
Arrive on vacation and leave on probation.
I disagree with Milky Way and Snickers he needs a "Payday"
Tarus firearms builds a 5 shot pistol that can fire .410 shot shells.its a very effective weapon close range. i don't know what tarus originally called the gun ,but they renamed it the tarus judge after they learned that many judges kept one mounted underneath the desk top of their bench.
too bad she didn't have one.
proof that everyone should know how to handle a weapon when a thug attacks them.
this judge was in a courtroom full of armed deputies and this still happened. proof also that the only thing thugs understand is the business end of a weapon.
I think the perp was getting straight licks in on the judge and suit boy was just puppy punching him in the back. Should have grabbed the guys fist and held on. I'm sure the judge would have appreciated it. But hey, he did jump in there asap so gotta give him that.
"The liberal justice system allows this 3-time loser to be in court with no handcuffs on (Gives the appearance of guilty by wearing handcuffs)."
That guy was there for sentencing. He had already been found guilty. He should have been shackled, wrists and ankles, to a chain around his waist.
"I really don't understand police engagement rules. Is lethal force not permitted when a judge is physically attacked in a court room?"
Lethal force used in self-defense against an imminent threat to one's life is legal EVERYWHERE to ANYONE under common law.
She had it coming. Dissing that poor brother like she did.
He should have been leg shackled and hand cuffed. Well he will have many more charges but most likely by video or zoom. 10:49 shame on you!
They need to export the Goon squad to that courtroom as part of their sentence.
Free judicial security that is also supervised/public.
Win-win.
"Should have grabbed the guys fist and held on."
Nope. Choke or beat with a stick.
Klondike Bar people. What would you do ooo ooo ....?
"i bet the defendant fell down a few flights of stairs after that ..."
