The Henley-Young escapees are doing what they do best: carjacking and shooting. The Natchez-Democrat reported:
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten issued an urgent message to Adams County residents to be on the lookout for a gold-colored Ford Fusion and three teens who escaped from a detention center in Hinds County. The juveniles are suspected of having shot a woman in the parking lot of Stanton Baptist Church on U.S. 61 in Natchez.Patten said one of the juveniles possibly involved is Tayshon Holmes from Natchez and the other two are Robert Earl Smith and Jashon Jones. The sheriff is urging the public to be on the lookout for the juveniles, whom he described as armed and extremely dangerous.
Smith is under indictment for capital murder while the other two suspects were charged with carjacking and armed robbery when they broke out of the youth detention center.

Whoever left an unsecured firearm in the vehicle in the parking lot of the kiddie jail should be real proud. It was likely used to shoot the lady in the church parking lot in Natchez.
Hopefully a "good guy with a gun" will get a "shoot first ask questions later" type opportunity to give all three of these morons a one way ticket to the funeral home.
There is only one way to stop this. Shoot on sight
Capital Murder? Why the fk is he at a youth detention center?
One of them was out on bond for murder before getting arrested again. Can you say "revolving door?"
@6:11 pm, simple, because everything associated with Hinds County is sh** show. Sad thing is Rankin County isn’t much better, with all the elected and appointed officials being paid for two jobs while only working one, a corrupt Sheriff’s Office etc. Madison is hanging in there but for how long. It seems that anyone who can afford to live there is coming so it won’t be long until things change there.
Hinds County Ferals-
Didn’t I just read a story about the director being fired for complaining they were only 40% staffed
Link to stories about the Henley-Young director being fired.

Director fired last week. Escape this week.
File under: What's wrong with Mississippi?
40% understaffed “what’s the rush”? No traffic light person for months”what’s the Rush”. No garbage contract”what’s the Rush”
Fill in the blank “what’s the rush” ….
Unalive them on site
WHY was a murderer in a juvenile facility??
They could be in Louisiana now, in yet another car. Will they visit a small town Dollar store for food, water and toilet paper? Could be low on ammo and too risky to try to buy more.
Lifelong Hinds county resident here…soon not to be. We are fed up with how our county along with Jackson has deteriorated because another group of people think they can do a better job than what had been done by capable people who actually cared and wanted to make a positive difference. The remaining good citizens are tired of the broken system both literally and financially that Hinds and Jackson has become without regard to safety of its citizens. I keep saying this but we never worried about this type of behavior years ago. Our society has degraded to where teens and preteens in some instances are committing felonies and capital crimes. We can vote all we want to but the wrong people always get their position they want. The good people have no one to turn to. Madison is surrounded, Rankin is in trouble with the DOJ pertaining to their sheriff, Copiah is a breeding ground for gangsters to travel into jackson, Warren County is saturated with drugs and criminals, Holmes and Yazoo are gangter hideouts. Simpson not too far in the distant past was the crystal meth capital of Mississippi. As you see our society degrading many of you say lock and load. True, but there is an underlying issue why we have to do that. You know why, I know why and everyone knows why. JPS student population is down almost 10,000. Either the students left or they quit school. I’m learning to a higher percentage of the latter so what do we do when we have this issue on our hands? The three fools that carried out this crime really don’t understand life and death until it hits home with them. Maybe that’s what it’s going to take. That innocent woman did not deserve to be shot twice. But those gangsters deserve to be shot and why were they in that facility anyway? All the whole money is being misplaced, mishandled and funds for safety of our citizens are going right down the drain.
The claims that small cockroaches grow to be big cockroaches is being proven to be correct.
Victim should sue Hinds County.
This isn't going to end well. Likely scenario: LEOs will spot them in a stolen car, followed by a "high speed" (is there any other kind?) pursuit, followed by traffic collision, followed by shoot-out.
Then the long lost parent/s will come out of the woodwork saying "he was a good boy," followed by civil suits.
This is a job for Robocop.
These 3 should be adjudicated to adults & sentenced as adults. They are no longer children & had an opportunity to seek help but chose the path of most destruction. Do not let them harm anyone else!
These defendants are already charged as adults due to the nature of their crimes. However, due to their age it is required that they be housed separately from adults. Currently that means that they have to be housed at Henley-Young.
10:35 not so, they have to be certified by a judge to be tried as an adult and then can be held at the adult detention facility. There is a process, you may want to ask the powers to be in Hinds County!
I’m sure they will not go back to the juvenile detention center! And why not? Because a Judge will do his/her job this time!!! Send their little ignorant asses where they should have been in the first place, in an adult facility!
All three have been captured and are back in custody.
@8:40, 10:35 is absolutely correct. You’re loud and wrong. In Mississippi, a 13-year-old is automatically prosecuted as an adult if the crime involves the use of a deadly weapon or carries a life sentence. Murder and armed carjacking wins a kid 13 or older with a do not pass go ticket straight to adult court. No certification takes place, it is automatic. Blame somebody else. Like their mamas or grannies. The judges have nothing to do with where they house the juveniles awaiting adult charges and haven’t for at least the last 7 years or so.
