Idiots of the Day

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!, Isaiah 5:20.

or Beauty and the Beast only this time the Beauty is Mr. Beast and the beast is Taylor Lorenz.

You're performing a much needed public service, Lord Fish. I still have hope that reason and common sense will one day prevail.

In 8:24 Bill Maher explained just how fucked up the woke world is. Imagine how quickly Mr. Beast would have been disparaged by the civic and elected "leaders" of Jackson if he had dared to "fix their endless line of problems".

True....

I think it's an obsession with what others may think, feel, and believe.

How arrogant and conceited must one be to claim the right to control what others may think?

In the Unites States, each of us has the right to be wrong. But no one has a right to be right.

Bill Maher is so very right about this. It seems that there are so many dumb asses in this country now that criticize acts of kindness and giving and they even go so far as trying to discredit and demean the people who are kind enough to try and make a positive difference in this " world gone mad." In my opinion, those who would try to undermine such valiant, honorable, and knightly acts are haters and nothing but pure evil.
And excuse me Kingfish for going off subject for a moment, but very soon now I will be getting my " VERY HUGE " 13TH check from my State Retirement. So, I think that this year, I will use it to buy a New Truck and to vacation for about a month in Asia.
So, what do you think Kingfish ? I have not heard you ranting about the 13TH checks so far this year, so I thought that I could wind you up and get you started. So let's hear it please ?

Speaking of 'Idiots Of The Day', Kingfish, would it be possible for all of us to get together for a group Christmas photo?

My step daughter is a sophomore at ole miss and she uses words that all these young students are using and thinks everyone deserves a home and recently suggested she thinks Hamas are in the right as the world as a whole needs peace. Also heaven forbid anyone suggest there are 2 genders
She about stormed away from the table at thanksgiving bc my sister is marrying a guy and said she supports a typical western tradition that isn’t accepting of others such as those with same sex partners. It was a whole new view that 3 yrs ago she never held.

Once upon a time, you know who slammed people such as Wyatt Emmerich who went to Africa to help communities there instead of staying at home in Jackson to help communities she thought they should help.

You can't argue with anything he stated. I have been fighting my disabilities for years and welcome any help I can and do get.

I remember you censored my post about Jackson should call MrBeast because he installed 100 water wells in 100 Villages all over Africa. You really are terrified of anything that remotely mentions Africa and Jackson together. You are such a little bitch!

Didn't know who he was until I saw this video. Seriously. Thought your comment was some kind of sarcasm or something . It happens.

UH...still trying to get past person who wants to defend being wrong.

Control what others thinks? Mission Impossible

Bad news for this invented angst: When you are wrong there are negative consequences. At the least, you appear careless or stupid. Lying is wrong. Harming others is wrong. Wrong actions screw the "works", not just for you far too often. Wrong breaks what was not broken.

Not all acts of charity are aimed at those being helped. They are to make the person giving feel good about themselves or less helpless in a troubled world or less guilty. The gift is often not that the recipient needs most but what the giver thinks they need most.

I'm reminded of the Pro-lifer who convinced a woman to bring a 5th child into the world. To celebrate her good work, on the baby's birthday, she delivered a stroller down a rural unpaved road to a house with concrete blocks for stairs and brought a birthday cake for kids who hadn't had breakfast as there was no food in the house. There was no car. The woman had no work and the husband was long gone. The room had to be rearranged to make a " path" for the stroller.

As for me, I'm tired of people who make a living getting others riled up. I'm tired of people who think they have more expertise than someone who has spent their lives studying and working in the subject under discussion.
I'm weary of those who don't even bother to look up the actual definitions for words they choose. I'm tired of those who think their religion is under attack but then attack other religions or worse their own religion as they fail to understand there are denominations not one basic other than agreed on a meeting that used the world catholic in the creed.

Bill Maher is a comic. He's living comes from getting people to watch his show. So is John Oliver. They are both bright. They make good points that can be thought provoking while being " entertaining" but they are giving a thumbnail sketch, not drawing a complete portrait on any issue. They cater to an audience. That's their JOB...entertainment, not scholarship.

The world is not defined by small group experiences. Those are anecdotes. You need to know IF the same small group in many places has the same experience/outcomes. Things may have gone badly because Joe the dummy messed up in their town, and not because the plan was bad.

Because you " heard" the same thing from everyone you know, doesn't mean it's accurate. Your grapevine can be great as inaccurate or incomplete information and another grapevine is more accurate. Moral: believe little of what you see and hear or even read, because humans can have agendas and biases unknown to you and your grapevine!

Did none of you learn this by completion of junior high? Mein Kampfe and Nazi propaganda are the usual , easily understood examples given in my junior high.

Most unbelievable story I've heard in a long time.

The funny but sad part is those who are complaining about someone actually helping others would much rather he give them all of the money he spent so they could keep 90% of it and spend 10% on helping those who needed it.

9:34, I did not defend being wrong. I defended the RIGHT to be wrong, in one's thoughts and beliefs, not to DO wrong in one's actions. Perhaps you should more carefully listen (read) what someone else says before popping-off with a lecture.

You also wrote:

"Not all acts of charity are aimed at those being helped. They are to make the person giving feel good about themselves or less helpless in a troubled world or less guilty."

So people shouldn't do something for someone else unless they are 100% pure of motive? In this life, human beings are incapable of perfect altruism (because we are imperfect). I suspect your ideas only work while passing a bong around.

Also, you provide a detailed anecdote, then later proceed to dismiss all anecdotes. And you claim to have studied "Mein Kampfe and Nazi propaganda" in junior high, which I suspect is BS, unless you were homeschooled in White Power.

So, like I said, you don't have a right to be right.

9:34 I can tell you believe you're extra intelligent; however, be advised that your diatribe made little sense at all.......lots of words, but virtually no meaning.

>When you are wrong there are negative consequences.

I wish this were the case more often. See Jackson government for the opposite.

MrBeast is a polite southern boy with that Carolina Drawl. He has a good heart and a good attitude. He is a positive influence in the space of influencers and creators. He deserves the fame and fortune.

His hamburgers are delicious too!

Mighty nice of Maher to be taking up for the white man. Because, to be clear, Maher isn't white.

Let's just say this, and leave it at that. You will know them by their fruits.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.

Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices.
