On Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at approximately 12:52 PM the Madison Police Department responded to a report of a deceased individual at a residence at 115 Harris Lane in Madison. Upon arrival officers found a black male subject deceased in the bedroom of the residence. Due to the indication of possible foul play, officers and investigators began a homicide investigation with the assistance of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation Crime Scene Unit and the Madison County Coroner.
A relative had responded earlier to the residence to check on the welfare of the resident since he had not reported for work today. Upon finding the deceased individual the relative contacted the Madison Police Department. Investigators are waiting on a positive identification of the victim.
The resident's vehicle is also missing from the home. The vehicle is described as a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, 4-door, black in color, with a Mississippi license plate of 2298 AP.
Anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the resident's vehicle is asked to contact the Madison Police Department at 601-856-6111.
Update on Homicide Investigation on Harris Lane in Madison
This afternoon, investigators with the Madison Police
Department along with deputies from the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office were able
to locate the vehicle of interest involved in this investigation with the
assistance of the GM On Star service. The
vehicle was located unoccupied in the parking lot of the Addison Place
Apartments located at 3175 Robinson Road in Jackson, MS. The vehicle has been seized and is being held
for evidence processing.
The Madison Police Department would like to thank the
media and public for their fast assistance in this matter. This investigation is on-going and anyone
with information is asked to call the Madison Police Department at 601-856-6111
or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.

Actually, having a murder within a couple of blocks of the Madison Campus makes the "Tulane Experience" more authentic. When I was there (Uptown Campus, New Orleans), there were murders near-campus all the time.
Kinda ironic that black on black murder has hit Madison the city.

Did On-Star have to get permission from JPD before releasing the vehicle's location to Madison PD? Did Madison PD wait the usual three hours for JPD to acknowledge and escort them to the location of the vehicle? Did Lee Vance take credit for locating the car? Did Colendula Green ask for the public's assistance? Was racism involved or did the Madison PD cruiser contain one white and one black officer when it arrived in Jackson city limits? Was Mary briefed? Did Stokes somehow inhibit radio coordination?

And all you guys are worried about is where it happened and where the car was found. This person has a family and Im sure his family is full of sadness. Have a little respect and quit thinking about yourselves all the time. My prayers go out to this mans family.
I have no doubt that the Madison PD and MBI will catch the murderer(s). I have not doubt they will be tried and convicted. Question is, will their sentence be death...doubt it. A long time in prison for so we'll have something to pay for.

When did traditional marriage become a crime? I must of missed that one. As for gay marriage, who cares? It's not like all the Christians really follow the Bible anyway, not with the high divorce rate and multiple marriages that seems to be the norm. Marriage between a man and woman is sacred, until it's time for out with the old and in with the new.

If the last option reflects your intent, then I should tell you that there is no "Nissan Land Fraud" detectable by Google. But if you are referring to the defrauding of an elderly widow, by misrepresenting to her, the value of her land in Madison County, then my understanding is that Mr. Butler's "role" in the affair was his REPORTING the wrongdoing of others, to the proper authorities.
The vast majority of Madison's residents know that Mary is fighting against a cabal of crooks. That's why SEVENTY SEVEN PERCENT of us voted for her, in her run against 'Bag Boy' (He used to have another name. We all forgot that other name. Now, he's 'Bag Boy', until the end of time.)
