The
three individuals responsible for the string of auto burglaries on February 22,
2014 in the City of Madison had their initial appearance in Madison Municipal
Court today before Judge Dale Danks.
Bond was set at one million dollars for Lemoyne May and James “aka”
Joshua Johnson for two counts of Auto Burglary. Bond was set at $750,000.00 for
Yvette Blanchard for two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Auto Burglary. The State of Florida has placed a hold on
James Johnson and Yvette Blanchard because both individuals did not have
permission to be out of the State of Florida.
Also, James Johnson was wanted in Florida for parole violation. Jackson Police Department investigators informed
the Madison Police Department that they will be seeking arrest warrants for
these individuals in connection to two auto burglaries in the City of
Jackson. Madison Police also filed
charges in the City of Jackson today on Lemoyne May and James Johnson for
fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer in a motor vehicle. The case remains under investigation and the
Madison Police Department will release more information when it becomes
available.

Somebody obviously didn't advise those Floridians about the importance of doing the crime inside of Hinds County and the impotence, ooops, ineffectiveness of Robert Shuler Smith.
Danks has been the million dollar man since he's been in this capacity.
There is a reason the jails and prisons across this great nation are filled with democrats
Crooks are so stupid that they don't stop to look at the light poles in the shopping center lights to see the cameras watching everything. Mary started requiring that when Walmart and the other big box stores came in. Great forethought!
Property crime is committed by a small number of people. The criminals are usually extremely active and are caught on only a fraction of the crimes they commit.
RIP WILLIAM SKINNER.
lol! I remember when Mr. Danks filed a judgement against city hall (the actual building) because the city council then was to stupid to understand they had to pay him or he could force the sale of the property! lol!
But he's still too stupid to realize the danger in tanning beds.
Gold star to Captain Tan.
tanning bed? he's a chain smoker which is probably more dangerous. 'course i know the majority of the posters here use snuff and think its harmless so who knows.
A million-dollar bond for a property crime is a ridiculous joke. Ask the Madison County ADAs how much they enjoy dealing with habeas corpus petitions because of that blowhard egomaniac.
Fallacy Alert, Fallacy Alert. Danks exhibits poor personal behavior, therefore he is a joke. Plus, I don't like the posts here so "you people" must use snuff and also must think it's harmless. So there. Now, does my argument go to the top?
Danks has been setting unreasonably high bonds for a while now. Wonder if he's getting a little kickback from the local bail bond companies ?
These accused have a HIGH likelihood of fleeing the jurisdiction. A high bond ensures they will be here for trial. that's how it's supposed to work, and it is.
You don't like it? Don't burglarize any cars in Madison County.
(and here we pay lip service to them being innocent until proven guilty in a court of law)
What's unreasonable to someone in Hinds is perfectly reasonable to the good people in Madison. This just in:
A high bond keeps your ass in jail and off the streets. There IS room at the inn up in Canton.
@ 12:41 you nailed it. cut these three loose they will be gone and stealing again. we know exactly where they are. and yep there's a cell with their name on it. City of Madison can afford to pay for their stay until trial.
I totally support what Danks is doing. Setting high bonds keeps these thug butts in jail. Otherwise, they be done fled. Ask Florida. So all u folks that don't like it-- tough!
Can't fathom why anyone would be critical of the MPD or Danks in this situation. Madison city and county have figured out what works and people of all types show approval by moving there. If Jackson/Hinds would implement the same procedures, when possible, maybe their capable citizens would consider staying put.
doesn't matter if the Mississippi bond is $1 or $1 million. The "hold" from Florida means that if they bond out, they don't go free, they go to jail in Florida.
