Bayou of Pigs

Entertaining story about the attempted overthrow the government of Dominica by some druggies and klukkers back in the 1980's.  It is apparently available on Google online for free.  Check out the book here

Co-starring George Malvaney. Great Christmas gift for people who want to know those that are influencing our state government and getting rich doing so.Always wondered if Malvaney gives the book for Christmas to dear friends.

One of those participants in the Bayou of Pigs plot was Joe Daniel Hawkins of Jackson. He was convicted of violating the Neutrality Act, and spent three years in prison. Hawkins' name brings to mind the name of Reverend Kenneth Dean from the late 1960s.

If my memory is not failing me, the Reverend Kenneth Dean attended the funeral of Hawkins' father who, police said, was murdered in a botched robbery. No one really buys the
"botched robbery" charge. What interest did the Reverend have in Hawkins' family? I suspect Dean knew much about the extra-legal(criminal) activities conducted by Roy K. Moore's FBI and Big Jim Ingram. However, Reverend Dean is most remembered for his being appointed manager--firing General Manager Bob McCraney-- of a bi-racial group that confiscated WLBT's FCC operating license through a landmark judicial fiat decision by SCOTUS Chief Justice Chief Warren Burgher. The religious group's petition was overruled by the FCC, but Burgher overruled the FCC, handing the license over to the religious institution. I don't recall if the Beard family was ever compensated for its loss of property.

Just Another story of big government exerting made up non existent powers on the states....

Another member of that bi-racial junta that was awarded WLBT's FCC license--the FFC had ruled in favor of the then present license holder(The Lamar Life Insurance Company--by SCOTUS judicial fiat, was Pat Derian. She married Hodding Carter, III. Connect the dots.

I seem to recall something about a few in this group getting busted with a box of machine guns at the old
Paradise Alley club on HWY 80.

Up until the enactment of knee-jerk gun legislation in 1968, the Mississippi Office of Surplus Property, out on HiWay 80, issued sheriff and police departments military surplus Thompson fully automatic sub-machine guns, some equipped with drum magazines.

How is it free? I can't see a way to download it.

Interesting story indeed of Klan members and Neo-Nazis , who have always seen eye to eye, with David Duke as one of the initial " brains" behind the plan, deciding to (in the 80s, not the 60s) take over Grenada and Dominica. These geniuses then tell a boat captain that they are CIA and he contacts ATF with whom the geniuses meet.
That Pugnacious and all save 10:33 pm see this story as being about State's rights vs the Feds, throw in Hodding Carter, gun rights and bring up WLBT is revealing indeed.
And, yet you still wonder why Mississippi can't shake our negative image.
It'd be folks like y'all opining!

This is why we need a strong Federal government. Too many of our states would duplicate The Third Reich and like these guys, get money from foreign governments ( South Africa apartheid money).

As we, well many, have become, collectively, more knowledgable through the use of easy research and dot-connecting while others still retain the use of logic.... do you really think white supremacists were going to invade Grenada.... wait, no, let's do Dominica, in order to have a place to set up to manufacture hate items? (official story)

With all of the numerous actions the U.S. (many via CIA) had in the caribe-central american area, why would believe that 10 men were going to set sail to take over a country just so they can set up a hate group item manufacturing operation?

It was just more de-stabilization efforts via CIA. David Duke had ties with the CIA.

I suspect the appeal of money-laundering outweighed other attractions or ideals.

9:07 am You love conspiracies , don't you?

And, of course, Neo-Nazis would be familiar with The Big Lie.

I'd believe it because Kluxers and Neo-Nazis are NUTS!

Not to mention useful tools.

You failed to connect the dots.

@ 9:23

What Big Lie would that be?

Useful tools? Right. As in, those guys are "tools"( slang for stupid).

Kluxers and Neo-Nazis are by definition, stupid. They've chosen to join groups with failed strategies.

There are no dots to connect.

Not all those who scheme, come up with stupid ideas, do sleazy things are connected.

If one group does stupid, bad things, it does not justify the opposite group doing stupid, bad things.

Not everyone accused is guilty and in this Nation and ( news flash) are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.

Not all gossip even political gossip is accurate.

Grow up!

And, by the way, Peace on Earth , Good Will towards Men starts in the individual heart. Jesus turned over tables, he didn't beat the crap out of the moneychangers or anyone else! His weapon of choice was the Word of God!

Can someone who was once a KKK member or Neo-Nazi ever really change the way they think? I do not think so but they can fool a lot of people some of the time but not all of the people every time. Most try to forget the past for acceptance but still harbor those thoughts of being superior to others. When you see past KKK members being embraced by our top political leaders you know it is for one reason, because that past member is a good money bundler.

I would like to wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to George Malvaney, Josh Gregory, Joe Cloyd, Scott Walker, Bill Walker and the rest of the members of the "Dear Friends" club. Always remember what Confuse-us said "The CONsultants that betray together cannot stay together" (BOP rules). And those with a pilots license cannot go to Eglin,Fla.,just ask Dickie Scruggs.

I'd like to correct an error on the judicial fiat issued by "future" Chief Justice Warren Burger in overruling the FCC and revoking WLBT's operating license, creating a phony "front" organization Communications Improvement, Inc.(CCI). Judge Burger was not at SOCTUS at that time, but a DC Federal District judge...even a more egregious act!! Bob McRaney, Jr. was fired and the Feds appointed Kenneth Dean until it was reorganized to form the Civic Communications Corporation in 1984At some point in time a black appointee from Massachusetts, William Dilday, became president of WLBT.

Interesting side note to the history of WLBT/WJDX is that the founding father of the Lamar Life's WJDX radio station, and its first President, was C. W. Welty, father of Eudora Welty. Eudora Welty worked for WJDX in public relations. And the first Chairman of the newly formed FCC, resulting from passage of the Communications Act of 1934, was Mississippian, Judge Eugene Sykes, who advised Welty and his backers in setting up WJDX. Judge Sykes was a member--his father was a captain in the Confederate army-- of the 1890 Mississippi Constitutional Convention and was appoined justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court by Governor Bilbo.

Maybe William Winter see to it that Bilbo's statue will now see the light of day in his "civil rights" museum, after all those days used as a hat rack by the black caucus at the Capitol building?

Lamar Mutal Life Insurance Co. sold its first insurance policy to Governor James K. Vardaman-- the Champion of the Redecks. The company also sold a double-indemnity life insurance policy to the Kingfish.

For Christmas I received a copy of Bayou of Pigs. Great read. You just have to wonder if these types really ever changed. Do they still think that if the South can't rise again another country will do just fine? Have they removed the sheets and now are hiding under a cover of money? This book will make you think long and hard about how some of them have infiltrated our state government. The brotherhood is still strong an active.

'The brotherhood is still strong and active.'

We will be firing up the ole cross next weekend, actually.

Pugnacious said...

PFFT!!

The real threat to this country arises not from "those behind the sheets," but from those unelected "Senior Fellows" and "Elders" at the elitest universities--Georgetown, Harvard,CUNY,Brandeis, Columbia, John Hopkins--who lobby and bribe our elected representatives into pursuing an unbalanced foreign policy that is fabricated from behind the curtain and in smoke-filled rooms of the corporate-funded "Think Tanks." Take a timeout from watching football one weekend and watch C-SPAN and Brian Lamb's disciples at Washington Journal peddle, un-abated, their lies and disinformation.

Mississippi's Pat Buchanan, too, has seen the light.

Where is David Duke these days? Last I remember the FBI or IRS was looking for him for something. He was in Europe hanging with some neoarians. Did he ever return to the USA?

Pugnacious said...

...IRS was looking for him for something....

He reportedly has lost a lot of money(and contributors) pursuing his casino gambling addiction...more likely the IRS is tracking him.

Apparently, the Duke-Free Zone established by the traditional enemies of free speech in Baton Rouge was not totally inclusive...the river boat casinos did not fall under their purview.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
