Collection of all posts on the Frazier case
Austin Frazier and Spencer Copeland filed motions to continue their respective trials last week in federal court. A federal grand jury indicted Claiborne Frazier, Austin Frazier, and C.E. Frazier, Jr. in December for conspiracy to commit bank fraud. The grand jury also indicted the Fraziers and Spencer Copeland for conspiracy to commit money laundering. Copy of the seventeen-page indictment
The defendants are scheduled to go to trial on February 5. The motions argued since there were over 9,000 documents in the discovery disc to review, there was no way they could prepare for a trial on that date. The motions also state the government will not oppose the continuance. A pretrial Conference is set for January 22, 2013 at 9:00 AM in Courtroom 5A (Jackson) before District Judge Daniel P. Jordan III.
Editorial note: No surprise here. Such a delay was to be expected when Judge Keith Ball set the date in December. This case will probably go to trial this year.

Slippery Slimeballs swerving on a slippery slope... No $200 for passing GO, go straight to jail, for many many years. Hope you got your "soap on a rope" ready.....
I keep asking, so someone pipe up: what are the Defendants up to now? Still living the high life about town, or are they holed up somewhere. I know plenty of readers here know them well.
I hear someone just bought a new boat?
Thank you, Rankin County, for keeping our community safe.
I hope this guy learns from these serious lapses of good judgement and gets in life back on a better path.
If one of them just bought a new boat, expect a photo of it to be "Exhibit A" for the People.
Of course, "bought" can be defined many ways, in this instance probably meaning "[insert family member name] made a down payment on a boat that [insert Defendant name] is currently in possession of."
