Trollfest '09
Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.
Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.

Trollfest '07
Jackson Jambalaya is the home of Trollfest '07. Catch this great event which promises to leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices. Robbie Bell will perform Her two latest songs: My Best Friends are in the Media and Mama's, Don't Let Your Babies Grow up to be George Bell. Sid Salter of The Clarion-Ledger will host "Pin the Tail on the Trial Lawyer", sponsored by State Farm.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.

good, so now how do we know that this doesnt go on all the time in these delta towns and elewhere???
Why haven't the "main stream media" covered this?
Canton is pretty far from the delta, but, yes, it goes on all the time there and elsewhere.
4:22, the CL has actually done a good job of covering this. Far be it for me to compliment the CL, but when they actually do something right I'll give them credit. Their reporter has been doing a good job of following this saga and reporting it fairly accurately.
@3:39
So you think that the winners in other races in the delta would just shrug their shoulders and walk away instead of doing exactly the same thing Mr. Bates did? Why would you assume any other winner, in any part of the state, wouldn't bring the same law to bear on the election commission?
To answer your question, we know it doesn't "go on all the time" because of the lack of legal actions from winners.
Delta
eta: the capchas are getting ridiculous. 19 letters total in this one.
yo! 4:22....the only coverage on this story has been by the Kingfish... The only way we know that the fool ike brown and his tarded kinfolk are involved was once again, by the KINGFISH....geez.
CL has done a decent job. pete Perry was right, the reporter has been present at most of the events.

What more did you want them to write?

Do you expect people to cut and paste that garbage? Learn hot to link.
I don't "expect" anyone to do anything. You made a demonstrably false claim that I rebutted with actual facts.
Delta
Canton citizens are realizing that
Bennie Thompson, The Blackmon's,
Esco, Truly, and the rest , could care less about
Canton and are only worried about protecting their
own wealth, ( obtained by following the Jessie/Al
poverty pimp plan )
I'm glad this gentleman won.
Delta, don't be offended by obnoxious jerks. Your point was well made simply by posting rebuttal evidence. Anyway, I rather doubt 6:42 would have clicked a link. I concur on your opinion of the annoying captcha system. Kingfish, isn't there an easier way?
8:06: I adore your bold "in your face" frankness as well as join you in congratulating the gentleman who won.
YO! delta...read the CL this a.m. even though it mentioned john brown but once again failed to mention that he is the brother of the resident "clown of tomfoolery", "court jester of election fraud", "jim crow of white people pole tax", the one and only, ike brown. thanks to KIngfish we know this, NOT the CL. This connection is important because is shows just how corrupt the system has become because of thugs like ike brown. And guess who opposes voter ID? yup, delta, you got it..ike brown and his cartel...
I concur on your opinion of the annoying captcha system. Kingfish, isn't there an easier way?
Is there a gun to your head forcing you to post comments here? LIVE WITH IT.
There is a huge difference between
"the only coverage on this story has been by the Kingfish" and "even though it mentioned john brown but once again failed to mention that he is the brother of ...ike brown (sic)."
One statement is true, the other is not.
Is there a gun to your head forcing you to cut and paste links here? LIVE WITH IT.
Delta
i think now is the time to watch canton more than ever... once truly and gang think things have died down they will be at it again
To further the rebuttal, the radio station in Canton has provided good coverage on a daily basis as well. And, as we know by now, the owner/reporter has been in Truly's crosshairs for several years. Some might even suggest Truly has a hard-on for him, but, that could be misinterpreted.
Odd that folks will say they don't read the CL and will then bitch when they think coverage is less than adequate.
*** YAWN ***
Canton is a lost cause.
Anonymous 7:23 - there is a difference in KF's posting here and the CL. KF posted that John Brown is the brother of Ike Brown because KF was told that by someone. It is suspected to be fact. But so far, no one connected to this election farce (on the good guy side) has been able to absolutely confirm that as fact.
John Brown is certainly related to Ike, as is the scumbag kid that was elected in the stolen election thre years ago. But it appears that this is not a certainty. So STFU about coverage. The CL cannot state this as fact unless they can substantiate it.
Besides, if you are reporting the news - not editorilizing as is done on a blog site - the relationship between John Brown and Ike Brown is not part of the story. (Far be it for you to compare me and my thinking to that of MY brother!)
I don't normally defend the CL - but in this case, they have worked hard to get the good facts, keep the numbers straight in what is somewhat a convoluted story, and reported on it daily. As has KF. I'm strongly supportive of KF's efforts here, but in this case I'm also supportive of the CL's efforts as well.
You can bitch all you want about the coverage but you have been proven wrong. Now you want to make the bitch because in one post, KF mentioned JB's relationship to IB. Because he did that and the CL didn't, you keep harping about crap that you don't know much about - if anything. So again, STFU.
The C-L reporter took everything the corrupt Canton officials said at face value. Example:
John Brown allegedly couldn't attend multiple meetings to certify because of "scheduling conflicts."
John Brown is a full-time employee of the City of Canton. His title is "Assistant to the Mayor."
The reporter in question might as well be on the city payroll, too.
@2:51
You just keep digging the hole deeper. You say the reporter claims "John Brown allegedly couldn't attend multiple meetings to certify because of "scheduling conflicts." " and yet, the actual quote from the article was "Brown and Powell said schedule conflicts prevented them from meeting last Thursday through Tuesday." and "In numerous conversations, Rogers told Bates she was ready to certify the election but had difficulty in finding a time for the other commissioners to meet." So she is simply reporting what she has been told by others. Perfectly reasonable for a reporter to, you know, report.
Of course, the reporter also goes on to report "For instance, on Friday afternoon Brown and Powell met privately outside City Hall, unwilling to come inside, then left and decided not to certify the election that day." Oooops...not so city-payrollish. They might have to dock her pay for that little slip.
Where do Johnnie Rogers and Karen Powell work and what are their job titles? If that is pertinent information that should have been included in the article, it should be pertinent for all of the commissioners, not just one of them.
Delta
You can bitch all you want about the coverage but you have been proven wrong.
By you? Get over yourself.
Now, back from that commercial for the CL......
This whole case has been amazing. Very glad it has been resolved. My concern is this was one election. What about all future elections in Canton?
Is there a reason that a preponderance of the posts here constitute nothing but an argument over who or which has covered what or when the most or more adequately? Is this about Canton politics or silly bitchy-comparisons of JJ compared to CL?
Logic and (proper?)debate are skills that are valuable but underutilized and unlearned by too many. Learning the logical fallicies helps one to sort through the BS, and to ignore those snarky, personal barbs, and self-sppointed room badgers.
Oh, well... love the blog! Go KF!
To poster at 7:23 and 4:50.
John Brown is not Ike Brown's brother. He may be related, but not closely related.
I would suggest you quit while you are behind. Way behind.
8:09 FTW
