Cheryl Lasseter reported on WLBT Friday night Hinds County refuses to allow Byram to use its radio system. I won't spoil the fun as the video is posted below.
Here is the discussion at the Board of Supervisors. 13:45:
Tomorrow I'm going to break down the Motorola lawsuit and show why the claims Madison and Ridgeland were bootlegging on the Hinds radio system were completely bogus.

After watching the report above everyone, but especially voters and taxpayers in Hinds County District 1, should read this comment provided by Charles Carter, CEO of the National Emergency Communications Institute, regarding "Lieutenant" Robert Graham.
Mr. Carter's comments are in reference to this list that can be found at the website of "Lieutenant" Robert Graham's consulting business.
Don't forget to check out the Lieutenant's tour schedule to catch his show live. He'll be in Chicago tomorrow plus Tuesday and Ulster, New York in two weeks. Also remember you can pre-order his eagerly anticipated new book 'From Trash Can To Commander' by visiting the official "Lieutenant" Robert Graham online store.
you can't make this up.
With all that has been revealed how in the world
can anyone in the black community who claims
they vote the candidate and not on race or
party still support Graham?
Here is what you are dealing with. A comment from the CL and probably a friend of the George, Doug, and Robert, but you get the idea:

1st: This editor doesn't know what he is talking about
2nd: Blame Haley Barbour for the MISWIN system and for the State not being "online".
3rd: Airwave is a Minority Vendor abiding by a valid contract...who saved taxpayers millions because Hinds County was subsidizing Madison, Ridgeland, Reservoir, Rankin County, FBI and every other tom, dick and harry for free
4th: They also exposed the incompetence of L. Fisher and Motorolla
5th: Byram chose another vendor, who is white... and paid for radios that were already paid for...go figure
6th: I have to use the toilet...
Thing is, how do we get people to care in Hinds County?
You are dealing with the masses of blind faith based on a common misconception. Try to break that misconception and you must be racist.
Mr. Charles Carter, CEO of the National Emergency Communications Institute, comments again and blows the whistle on more than "Lieutenant" Robert Graham. A must read.
Hinds county is in disarray with this we need to keep it all black idea . I believe in picking the best person for the job . Hinds county can not prosper with people making side deals to pad their pockets .
Set crap detectors to full alert.
I believe the Republicans are running scared and when their candidate Roger Davis dropped out of the race they were cleared to place another candidate on the ballot. I think this was wrong but they did it. If you live in District 1…please send a clear message in Nov. Please re-elect Robert Graham. Don’t believe all of the media hype in terms of what they are saying about him. Let your voice be heard……
Othor the Lieutenant could probably use a Trainee. Up for the job?
Like a good soldier, he did what he was told.
Shadow, I didn't approve that last comment for a reason. Go back and reread the comment you were replying to and I think you will see your mistake. Clue: Pay attention to the italics and click on the link.
Everyone see the C-L article on their web site Saturday about possible criminal charges against Robert Graham?
I've got mixed thoughts on this one.
The fundamental fact to remember is the radio system DOES belong to Hinds County and as such, they can set the conditions for those agencies that want to gain access to it. I don't have to like it, it might not be right, but it is their system and they can set the guidelines.
I think the reasons given are somewhat bogus as the Wireless Commission can do it over the air in a safe and secure manner but it is still Hinds County's system and they can make the rules. Period.
However, this episode illustrates why there is going to be a state wide radio system. The problem with Hinds County is Hinds having a system other counties, cities, and agencies could not communicate with and it has been a problem for a very long time. Unfortunately, no one in Hinds government seems interested in solving that problem nor do they even think its a problem. Having said that, its still their system. They provided a way for Byram to gain access to it and unfortunately, its Byram that needs access to their system more so than the other way around.
