It was a close vote and Shapleys led the way, but Tico's won the JJ poll for best steak in Jackson by five votes. I voted for Tico's as I love the way they cook their steaks. The creamed spinach is very good as well and if you want a mean dessert, order the Amaretto Freeze. Closest thing to a White Swan we have in Jackson. Congrats to Tico's.

Good poll. I need to try Ticos. Just wondering, do any of those restaurants serve grass-fed beef?
Ticos is the best around. I doubt any of them serve grass fed - maybe Lonestar.
Or Westen Sizzlin.
You can get high eatin' grass fed beef. But at least it's tender cuz of the brusing from the falling down. It's got a slight hint of cheese from the Cheetos.
El Dorado does.
El Dorado is CLOSED....
Didn't know it was closed. sorry.
When did El Dorado close? Been a while since I've been in that area.
It closed last winter due to the lack of business since Rankin County was dry. That's why they would let you bring your own bottle in. The owner was funny, but she also seemed a little crazy. She also sells/buys antiques.
Good to see the local businesses are preferred over corp america.
