More front-running?
A few months ago I posted this CNBC video in which Santelli points out some possible insider trading just before the Fed announcement. Watch the 7:00 mark:
Now Karl Denninger posted this week about some possible insider trading as well: This morning, the buying began in earnest at 8:30 Central, and then again at 10:00 Eastern - one hour in front of the "announcement", again on heavy volume.(Click on the link and see the chart). Needless to say, there was a huge spike and someone was able to profit off of the Fed announcement in way that reeks of insider trading.
By the way, while the government crows about incomes increasing, keep in mind it was mainly due to stimulus money. If you read the rest of the report, it points out real incomes are decreasing and more bad news for the economy:
"Private wage and salary disbursements decreased $12.4 billion in May, compared with a decrease of $0.7 billion in April. Goods-producing industries' payrolls decreased $12.9 billion, compared with a decrease of $12.2 billion; manufacturing payrolls decreased $9.8 billion, compared with a decrease of $4.9 billion."
Insider trading, front-running, green shoots turning into weeds...........

See the chart on the ticker.
If in FF, the video will post like it should, if in IE, its going to appear further down the page.
I'm convinced someone is profiting. Perhaps the days of "easy money" are over....right. They can't take it by confusing the market, so, resort to the tried and true - insider trading...Too funny that the talking head couldn't understand what he was talking about.
Glad I looked at it. We all know it is happening, but that was definitely a blatant example. 12 hours in advance of market news release.
As I was looking at the chart and I began to think, perhaps its the government trying to get back some of the stimulus money w/o taxing the public. IOW, tax the markets who caused the problems by profiting from news it controls/releases? This would explain the lax oversight and non-existent prosecution.
