Jackson Police Chief Dr. RaShall Brackney joins Grant Callen on The Empower Podcast to talk about policing the capital city, and yes, the Capitol Police comes up.
Six months into the job, Brackney has plenty to say about outdated equipment, solving crimes, supporting victims, and whether the numbers we use to measure success tell the whole story. Grant and the chief compare notes on deterrence, debate how to judge public safety efforts, and discuss why some folks treat a dinner reservation in Jackson like a deployment.
Brackney thinks Jackson can dream big. The comment section will presumably have a few suggestions.

Was she forced to take the job? Give me a break.
Can someone tell me what she says about Capitol Police? Hopefully she praises them for doing half of her job for her. I can’t listen to her voice.
Chief we appreciate your effort. However, by now you should have come to the conclusion that these are some of the dumbest MF's in addition to being liars, and con artists. I know you needed a job but this is too much work for chump change. Consult with Ted at JXN Water if you don't believe me.
17 mins in and the $150,000 Chief bemoans having to work long hours. She's also laying the groundwork why she's not delivering.
