Jackson Mayor John Horhn issued the following statement.
“The reckless behavior displayed by some attendees during this weekend’s car show in downtown Jackson was egregious, dangerous, and completely unacceptable. The decision by certain individuals to perform donuts in the middle of the street, in close proximity to spectators, other motorists, and adjacent businesses, placed lives at risk.
As Mayor, my first responsibility is to protect the people of Jackson and safeguard our neighborhoods, business districts, and public spaces. While we welcome events that showcase our city, we will not tolerate conduct that endangers others.
Effective immediately, the City of Jackson is undertaking a thorough review of the car show to gain a clearer understanding of what occurred, to work closely with law enforcement and event organizers, and to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place moving forward.
We are grateful that no one was seriously injured, and we are taking the necessary steps to prevent this type of reckless activity from happening again.”

No mention of arresting them for their "activities". They'll laugh at the proposed solution without accountability. Trust me.
