Jackson Municipal Court Judge Jeff Reynolds issued a $14 million bond for a man accused of molesting a minor relative.
JPD arrested Daryl L. Jackson on July 4 and charged him with six counts of sexual battery of a minor and one count of child exploitation. The victim was 17 years old and mentally disabled.
The victim allegedly remained silent about the molestation because Jackson allegedly threatened to kill her if she told anyone. The victim finally told someone about it when she feared she might be pregnant. Jackson partially confessed to the molestation.
Judge Reynolds set Jackson's bond at $2 million per charge, resulting in a $14 million bond. The Court tacked on an additional $150,000 bond for being a felon in possession of firearms.

Seems nice.
Have you ever noticed that whever someone is arrested for an active crime in Hinds County, an additional charge of felon in possession is always tacked on?
1 million would have been sufficient. Save those high bonds for the killers, carjackers, aggravated assaulters and violent crimes against persons. Then you’d send a big message.
Never fear! One of the retarded judges will see to it that this becomes a “fair” bond of about $10,000.
Nasty scumbag!
I can see why he probably hasn't be able to get a date like a real man. Cut his 'nads off.
12:15 - Yes, I have. It seems that charge is almost always dropped in a plea bargain. It needs to be strictly enforced, A dude like this one could care less, but at least he'd be off the street.
Jail house justice will get another one !
@12:16 Right. It would be a shame to send a big message to those that are screwing a mentally disabled, minor relative. I guess sexual abuse with the threat of death doesn't qualify as "violent crime against persons."
The best remedy for a guy like this is to castrate him and lobotomize him.
Hang him in front of city hall and invite his friends to watch and it would cut this crap out!
I think having a felony is a prerequisite to live in Jackson...
Just doing pre-trial time in the Hinds Co. Jail could be a death sentence. Right sheriff?
A bullet would have been sufficient. Minus that, a cage. Dafuq is wrong with you?
We are much too civilized for that. So civilized that we let these animals roam the streets looking for the next victim. Watch out judges...one day it will be someone you care about.
@3:02 PM - Those with multiple felony convictions go to the head of the line.
It's "couldn't care less."

July 7, 2026 at 2:25 PM<<<<-----This is correct. Ditto to 2.25PM.
Doesn't this one qualify for the DP ?
@ 12:16 When your caller ID says Chris Hanson TCAP you'll know you're caught!
