Attorney General Lynn Fitch issued the following statement.
Today, Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced the completion of Operation Guardian Force, a 2-week statewide law enforcement effort led by the Attorney General’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force, Fentanyl Strike Force, and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The operation resulted in 72 arrests, and the recovery of 29 human trafficking victims.
"My office is committed to taking criminals who traffic people and drugs off the streets and equally committed to setting victims on the road to recovery. I am proud of the dedicated investigators and prosecutors from the Attorney General’s Office as well as our partners in local, state, and federal law enforcement for their work on this operation and every day to keep our communities safe," said Attorney General Lynn Fitch. "And I am grateful to President Trump for making efforts to eradicate human trafficking and fentanyl top priorities. It was an honor to have Acting Assistant Secretary Gradison here to observe the hard work Mississippi’s law enforcement is doing to achieve these same goals."

AG Fitch and the Trump Administration are partners to support efforts to end human trafficking and deliver comprehensive victim services.

Sounds like a laudable program, and I hope they accomplished a great deal! I can't, however, ever remember a statewide effort of this nature only lasting 2 weeks. Maybe they accomplished all they intended to accomplish, but this sounds like the type of program that should remain ongoing - because you know there's always more.......
Just an observation.
I’m of course glad they were able to do this and rescue these victims. But this woman is shameless in her efforts to get Trump’s attention in hopes of getting a job in DC. Notice almost every one of her “big” news releases or legal events are related somehow to federal law or agencies. She couldn’t give a lesser shyt truthfully about Mississippi or helping her state.
Where are the names of those arrested in this sting? Show us the list.
Fitch is a zero.
The AG is taking credit for what the feds are actually doing.
Sounds like the feds and locals did the work while the AG claimed the credit. Maybe Shad was right....
All the while Shad is busting someone that picked up some junk from a county junk pile.
I'm positive that the Ol' Blood and Guts AG was out on the streets with the troops wearing her raid vest while kicking ass and taking names.
So, the feds flew into Evers International to learn how Mississippi does stuff.
Reminds me of Tater constantly claiming every other state is asking, "What are y'all doing down there in Mississippi to accomplish so many great things. We're headed your way to learn from y'all and bring ideas back home". Right, right?
Never forget that Uncle Haley is responsible for Aunt Lynn.
echo chamber commentary
Do better
Lynn directed this operation from her command post strategically located at Starbucks at Renaissance Colony Park.
The tell is that the FBI, the DEA, and HSI were involved. The AG's office didn't actually "lead" anything, and neither did any state, county, or local entities. "Looky, young fellas, y'all is feds and all, but we's Wayne County deppities and Tupelo cops...y'all boys just stand over there real quiet-like and we'll learn ya how to handle thangs..." Happens every day in fed-involved operations across this great land. So, I have this bridge I'm selling...made out of timber...
I've twice seen human trafficking in Ridgeland grocery stores, possibly by the same 50+/- year old woman. In both instances, she sent two different young women about 16 to 17 years old to walk over and "hang out" very close to me. I found this quite odd and stared at her, naively thinking, why would a mother or grandmother let this happen? Then I said nothing and walked away. My addled brain finally kicked in a month after the second event to realize that she was the same woman pimping them.
The point is we would benefit learning enough about this tragedy to recognize it and call the police.
How many times you been back to that same, exact spot in the store?
Only returned as my normal shopping dictates. If I see that same 50 year old woman in the company of a 17 year old, I will take a picture. Perhaps follow her to her car and photo both it and tag as well.
