Nothing like some scumbag dine & dashers, right?
The little thief in question bragged about her exploits in a TikTok video. After the waitress posted the video on TikTok herself, the thief's brother said it wouldn't be right for her to lose her scholarship over this. Oh hell yes. Actions have consequences and this probably isn't the first time she has ripped off a restaurant.
Some places take the bill out of the waiter's pay when a dine & dash occurs. Thankfully, it appears this restaurant did not do so.

the most outlandish part of this was her brother contacting the waitress and asking her to take the video down....
while the girl was simultaneously bragging about it online.
the nerve that people can muster continually amazes me

That was hilarious, thanks for the link! :)
Sorry to derail from the main story: turns out with "Democracy Manifest" they got the WRONG GUY: https://youtu.be/tu4d_xsdNzM?si=6COJvDXla4qnD04u
At a crab leg joint? You don't say...
If these thieves were to be "knee-capped" their conduct would stop.

"Dine and dash" is illegal? Who knew?
The usual suspects - Crab legs aficionados. I have long said, "If you want to open a restaurant and go broke, put crab legs on the menu". Double-quick if the customers eat and run.
Some restaurants may take the bill out of the server's pay, but servers should know this is illegal and should be reported to state and/or federal labor agencies.
POS and her gang doesn't deserve a scholarship. What kind is it -- can't be for smarts...or moral fiber...
