A local restaurant legend passed away. Primos Cafe announced on Facebook:
It's with a bittersweet lament, we share that on December 24th, our beloved Kenneth Angelo Primos, Sr., son of Primos founder Angelo "Pop" Primos and father to Don Primos passed away at the age of 98. We rejoice that he is gone to be with his savior! He had a great love and appreciation for his father Angelo "Pop" Primos both in his life and work. He helped continue the Primos Cafe legacy as owner/operator from the late 1940s through the mid 90s. Along with the many Primos staff and patrons, he deeply cherished his family, friends, and church community. All Primos Cafe locations will be closed Wednesday, December 28th in observance of his visitation and funeral service.

RIP Pop. You made some good grub.
Good people. The Primos family has been a blessing to the Jackson community for years and continues to be so
Thank you, Mr. Primos.
Rest in Peace.
Rest In Peace, Mr. Primos.
The chicken sandwich at Pops on Lakeland back in the 70's was the absolute best ever. That's before all the copycats tried to duplicate resulting in total failure. For about 10 bucks my girlfriend and I satisfied our munchies like royalty.
Didn't know them personally but enjoyed the businesses they built for many years.
Respect to anyone that can make a living in that biz.
Rest in peace, indeed.
