Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey issued the following statement.
On Wednesday morning, October 5, Rankin County deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Central Avenue in the unincorporated area of Florence. Deputies were told that an individual had been stabbed by their roommate at this address. Once on scene, deputies made contact with the suspect, identified as CHEYENNE LOWMAN SMITH. SMITH was then detained while deputies made contact with the victim.
Deputies discovered a 55-year-old male victim with a stab wound to the abdomen and a cut wound on his neck. The victim was then transported to the hospital in stable condition. SMITH was then transported to the Rankin County Detention Center and charged with aggravated assault.
Rankin County District Attorney Bubba Bramlett will bring SMITH before Rankin County Court Judge David Morrow for an initial appearance.

Believe this actually should be Domestic Violence-Aggravated Assault based on co-habitation. Hit it and run.
She looks like a very friendly girl.
She grades out at about a 3 on the hot axis and 10+ on the crazy axis, meaning she is squarely in the "No-Go Zone." The stabbee used very poor judgment.
Hit it and run sounds like an excellent plan!!
Not saying what she did is right, but having lived with a few manner-less roommates, I am reserving judgement.
@9:07 gets extra points today for the "Crazy-Hot Matrix" reference. LOL
Not in Florence but they blame Florence anyway. Why no say an unincorporated area of Jackson? Or mendenhall? It’s in Rankin County. Call it what it is.
Florence zip code. Turn them caps around and git back in the kitchen at Jerry's!
