A Jackson Municipal Court judge denied bond for murder suspect Jayden Taylor. Taylor is all of 14 years old. JPD arrested him for a June 18 murder on Thousand Oaks Circle. The police affidavit states:
did willfully, unlawfully and feloniously near 169 Thousand Oak Cir without authority of law and of his malicious aforethought with deliberate design to effect death, kill and murder Hekemia Kelly, a human being, by striking Mr. Kelly several times about the body with a 40cal handgun in violation of Mississippi Code Section 97-3-19(1)
JPD said the mother of the suspects got into an argument with the victim, who just happened to be her fiance. Taylor's 18 year-old brother, Jamaire, is charged with accessory to murder in the case.

A 14 year old and a 16 year old carjacked a friend of mine at gunpoint two nights ago on North State Street, pulled her out of her car and nearly beat her to death. They took her vehicle, purse with cash and her gun. The 14 year old has been arrested, not sure about the 16 year old but JPD knows who he is. They found the vehicle because she had a tracking device in it, and a pedestrian found her cell phone on the side of Woodrow Wilson Blvd. They haven't found the gun or, needless to say, her cash and credit cards. She is going back to the doctor today to MRI her shoulder which may have been dislocated when they pulled her out of the car. They beat her extensively on her head, maybe kicked her head, too.
Don't go to Jackson for any reason. If you carry a gun, then use it, although in her situation with armed thugs on each side of the car, it is doubtful she could have shot both of them before one of them shot her.
The victim was her fiance. He's lucky he didn't marry into that family. What luck!

9:58, that was my first thought. I wonder if the 14 year old thought his mother's life was in danger. The mother's side of the story would downplay that, if she was in an abusive relationship.
Perception of not being arrested and charged as an adult due to their ages. Maybe they need to teach kids in school about how this fact. Then again, some just don't give a damn.

Honest question....
How many of you would be saying the same thing had this story been about the 14yo and 16yo "being 'raped'" by someone over 18yo? The question is specific to these 2 boys. I am not making light of either situation. Just want to call attention to the fact that the majority seems to scream for justice when teens are "victims" of sex crimes(by their nature are adult crimes) because they are unable to form consent, but then say these same teens are capable of forming the mens rea of what is, for lack of a better phrase, an adult crime -- murder.
Regardless of the crime… this is a 14 year old CHILD! Can’t no one defend throwing his life away for a juvenile mistake. Juveniles are meant to be rehabilitated not thrown away. That’s why I’m against these juvenile background checks

These are the archetypal violent crime video games. The games have extremely low polygon counts compared to modern games. The games were made by designers in Leeds and Scotland UK. And they were based off of existing American crime cultures. They didn’t inspire the crime cultures. They just became the plot.
People have been blaming video games for violence since the days of Mortal Kombat and id Software’s “Doom” shareware game. These games look comically cartoonish today. Just as will Call of Duty and GTA in the next decade.

In fact, word is that Luke is a born again Christian and model prisoner over the last 24 years.
What is your obsession with Luke? You often try to use him as a bludgeon for many unrelated arguments. Is it because of how he killed his dog? Your average foreign dog eater is far more brutal to a dog when preparing their meal.
2:34 - Dead is dead. If he kills, he must pay for it. Hard to seehim contributing much to society with the path he chose for his young life. Most likely better for others he will encounter in the future to just eliminate him from society now.
Can’t we go back to blaming violent gangster rap music? Or is that simply not politically correct? I remember back in the 1990s, the rap lyrics brutally celebrated drug dealing, rape, and murder. I believe Al Gore’s wife was involved somehow. And then suddenly it became taboo to blame rap for gang violence. Maybe it is because of who owns the record companies?
Well… 14 is too young to decide his fate. If your kids were of a certain skin color you’d be more understanding I bet. Mines faced a lot of battles bc his skin is dark and he’s targeted easier bc of that reason. Facts are facts. White kid ain’t gotta worry like that though

6:34… do you actually believe if a white 14 year old kid murdered his mom’s fiancé he (or she) would be treated any differently than a 14 year old black kid who murdered his mom’s fiancé? Really?
I’ll buy a rich kid gets out of a misdemeanor drug charge easier than a poor kid all day long… or maybe even take out rich and poor, and sub “well connected” and “not so well connected”… but this is murder. Not buying it.

2:34 Murder is murder. Kids are the ones who committing the majority of the murders in Jackson now. Wrong is wrong. Don’t care how old they are. They need to face what they have done no matter the age or skin color.
There need to be a program for these youths of color with out a dad and that program can be paid by govt to help raise the kid a better way. Example check in on the kid make time for mentoring almost like a parole officer except be a mentor. Govt spends too much on prisons rather than this. This black males got no chance otherwise.
That day a another young man was shot that by the same two well the just charged one with but it was both but he was shot in the back off the head that is attempt of murder not aggravated assault
