Lately, you may have noticed stickers on gas pumps depicting Biden saying, “I did that!” pointing to the rising price of gasoline on the pumps. The stickers have become a nuisance for station owners and a mischievous temptation for Biden detractors.
Considering that Biden has very few legislative accomplishments over four-plus decades in Washington, most of his voters probably presumed his term as president would be fairly benign. It might have been if he had not attracted a long train of far LEFT wing, woke and green ‘advisors.’ Nowadays President Biden’s impromptu claims of “I did that!” have followed powerful policies and legislation that have practically destroyed America’s booming economy under President Trump.
Instead of taking credit for making America energy independent (which we were under Trump), Biden began messing with Trump’s policies by revoking the Keystone XL pipeline and imposing a moratorium on oil and gas leasing on federal lands and waters that had produced 25% of total oil and gas in America. These and other moves depressing energy production effectively caused gas prices at the pump to skyrocket to unprecedented highs.
The business of America is business, and business runs on gas and oil. When energy prices skyrocket, so do costs of manufacturing and shipping. Pouring $1.9 Trillion into his Covid rescue plan exacerbated the rising prices of consumer goods, and inflation ballooned to more than 8% from 1.4% that Biden inherited.
But, Biden didn’t stop there. He stopped building the border wall and cancelled Trump’s immigration policies that had kept illegal immigration at record lows. Not only have millions of illegal immigrants from more than 160 nations poured over the border, but tons of lethal drugs crossing the border have become the number one killer of Americans 18-45 years old. This fiscal year, more people on terrorists’ watch lists have been caught than in the five previous years, and that’s not counting nearly one million ‘got-aways.’
All of Biden’s meddling with America’s energy sector, economy, and immigration policies are negatively affecting our food supply chain. Not only are prices soaring, but we’re witnessing a radical shortage of basic food products. Producers are reducing package sizes and increasing prices to break even. Baby formula, one of the most basic food items is still in short supply months after problems were discovered. How will Biden and his administration make things even worse by the end of his second year in the White House?
Russian leaders have been talking about using nuclear weapons against NATO, including America. They’ve even talked about returning Alaska to Russia. America’s response is in President Biden’s hands.
President Biden and Democrats have controlled the country for the past 18 months with little resistance from the loyal opposition. How is that working for everyone? Where will we be after 30 more months?
National voices across the political spectrum have swiveled from asking whether Biden would run again in 2024 to explicitly stating Biden is too old for another term. After November’s elections, his extremely woke handlers may believe he’s already too old.
Ironically, if Biden had done absolutely nothing since coming into office, Americans would likely be much better off than we are today. Instead, President Biden and Democrats appear to be leading America over the edge into political suicide.

CNBC’s Brian Sullivan said last week that he explained to his “young child” what Biden’s blaming oil companies for high gas prices was like by giving this example:
It’s like the Biden administration telling fast food businesses that their products, Whoopers and Big Mac’s are bad - and that their/the Biden administrations goal was to make the business of selling fast food obsolete, and to put fast food companies out of business within 8 years.
Then, when there’s a shortage of fast food, the Biden administration calls a meeting with the fast food CEO’s to find out why they haven’t invested in their businesses to insure that we didn’t have this current fast food shortage.
Joe “took showers with his young daughter” Biden is going to end up making G W Bush (2) and Jimmy Carter look smart.
Amen! How is this guy so smart?!
Nicely said Captain Obvious
He's not smart. The keystone pipeline was not producing oil, it was maybe supposed to at some point in the future. The high price of gas right now is because American oil companies are deliberately under-producing and not refining because they are making record profits for their shareholders. That is a fact. The federal government is not stopping them from producing and refining more oil. D.L. isn't smart, he's a weirdo professor who grab-bags talking points from the right-wing and regurgitates them as his "opinion." A computer could produce the same columns he does, and it would contain less grammatical errors and run on sentences.
BS. Refineries operating at 96% capacity. Government's own figures.
LoMo 3:43, you are 100% incorrect - since as stated refineries are at 96%.
The leftist Democrat dumbed down base thinks they can have to both ways.
Thank you, Kingfish, for correcting that post above you.
Also, the Biden shills, intentionally neglect to mention the money supply to produce oil has been stopped.
LoMo, Is that you Joe?
Re: @3:43 PM - KF, exactly. He is parroting lies from some fringe click-bait website.

Hey LoMo, take a look at this:

For households making over $300k, Biden's policies on energy are a nuisance.
For households making over $150k, Biden's policies on energy are a squeeze.
For households making under $100k, Biden's policies on energy are devastating.
Joe Biden is waging war on the poor, retirees, and the working class of America.
Lomo is blinded by his hatred. Energy costs dropped from April 2014 (Obama era) until Biden took office. Lomo would have us believe energy companies all colluded to jack up costs to make Biden look bad? Lomo should post less, and take his meds.
I just returned from a conference for economists and money managers on the west coast. Every speaker that addressed energy prices stated the rising energy costs are a direct result of Biden's energy policies.
U.S. refining capacity has fallen by 5.4%, or 1.03 million bpd to 17.9 million bpd since it peaked in 2019 at 18.98 million bpd. Capacity in 2021 dropped 4.5% to 18.13 million bpd. Profit margins at U.S. refiners are up sharply despite higher oil and gas costs as demand soars for gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.

Reality is that gas is always high when democrats are in charge.
Facts:

Or you can keep listening to Kingfish, the big swish.
Gas and oil prices should settle down when the worldwide recession sets in. The demand for petroleum products will be greatly curtailed.
Yes, a recession has begun. The lies coming from the Biden administration will not stop the recession from happening. Financial pain will continue.
LoMo/4:39AM, per the link you posted: “The nation's plants are running at about 94% of operable capacity, the highest since September 2019.”
So you and your leftist Democrat friends can understand, see the “young child” explanation in the first comment.
Wonder what percentage of leftist Democrats are dumb enough to think they can, as just one example, introduce a bill that would “force Fed(eral Reserve Bank) to defund fossil fuels,” then blame the oil companies for high gasoline prices when they don’t invest;
and what percentage of leftist Democrats know better, but are corrupt enough to place blame elsewhere?
Maybe you should read the article you linked to. If you had read it you would have come to this part;
"The biggest factor in the latest decline of refining capacity was closure of the 255,600-bpd Alliance, Louisiana, refinery, following "extensive damage" from last year's "Hurricane Ida." That was only partially offset by capacity expansions at other refineries, the EIA said."
As Kingfish said, this was also taken from the article you reference;
"The nation's plants are running at about 94% of operable capacity, the highest since September 2019".
Why would any business invest money into a project that is under assault by the United States government?
Yeah 94%of reduced capacity, sounds like profiteering to me, but believe what you want.
So, if you are the owner of the Alliance, Louisiana, refinery, you would seek the money to repair that refinery? This off-line refinery is the reason for the reduction in production.
#1, where will you get the funds to repair this refinery? The Biden administration has virtually stopped the financing of coal and fossil fuels.
#2, if you did get financing, how would you justify this expenditure to your shareholders? The outlook is bleak for the future of fossil fuels.
We are talking about a company with shareholders to answer to, not the Federal Government, which seemingly does as it damn well pleases.
Nope. Philly was bigger I think. Biggest one on east coast.
Don't forget Deer Park.
You are correct, Kingfish. I should have said one of the reasons and then went on to make my example. I stand corrected. Thank you.
