Keifer's will open a restaurant on Highland Colony Parkway across from Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison.
Madison approved the restaurant's plans last night.

Hope it is better than its other restaurants via its menu. The other restaurants are more akin to a Greek "Subway" Sandwich shop than a Greek/Mediterranean restaurant. I certainly do miss Athenos. BWC
Good for David Nutt!
He and his family need more money!
Obviously making way for Baptist Hospital's move out of Jackson.
Writing's on the wall.
I enjoy the gyro and cheese burger they serve. Is it like having one in Greece ? No, not really.
This is good. Will be a solid addition to Madison.
The rendering looks more like a funeral home. The place will be a drive-through along the lines of Burger-King.
Yay another place to eat and get fat at. Hey Madison, how about a place where people can have fun? There’s not much for kids to do
Does anything make you people happy?
Can't get here soon enough. Will be joining many other fine eating establishments in the area. Unfortunatley, I wonder how long the Poplar Boulevard store will remain open. Should be seeing more Jackson folks in Madison.
I think this is awesome news.
My god...you people, sheesh.
I’m sure it will do well. Most of these people are like my wife. You could throw a bag of $100 bills, totaling a million dollars, in her lap and she would complain because the bag wasn’t pretty. You whining people are sad.
Good news. Hopefully they make the parking spaces wider and a better parking lot than the Belhaven location.
10:26 : WE THE PEOPLE have been under constant drubbing for close to 20 years KF. Happy seems like a myth.
10:33 : I know exactly what you mean.
Great news. Keiffer's pita with feta is excellent. Kristos has a good one too. Krilakis is excellent. Madison County has some good Greek eateries. Add in YaYa's if you want more of a dining experience.
@10:33 now that's funny!!
Keifer's is a good place. I enjoy it. Hope they do well.
So excited!!
No security guards will be needed in the parking lot at the Madison location. That will lower overhead costs and allow the addition of drive-thru to add extra income to the operation.
People wake up bright and early each and every morning only to display hate and negativity as anonymous commenters on a garbage blog. Make it and
Sense.
I'm happy Keifer's is coming to Madison.
There are plenty of things for kids to do in Madison, just go outside & look. Parks, bicycle trails & The Reservoir for recreation.
Kingfish you beat me to my comment. Some people will complain no matter what.
thats cool, i don't live in madison tho.
... on a garbage blog.
Blah, blah, blah. [AND] you wake up every morning hating your miserable life.
Really, what a bunch of whiners. Kiefers in Jackson kills it. That place is packed. The second location is just a reflection of the success they have in Jackson. The original restaurant isn't going anywhere regardless of what the perpetually negative and aggrieved posters on this site want to believe.
Walk-On's shootout says Hi!
The original restaurant isn't going anywhere regardless of what the perpetually negative and aggrieved posters on this site want to believe.
Heard that song before but Jackson crime, surface sewage discharges and water problems has a way of grinding down even the most strident supporters.
Belhaven is staying open. Restaurant said so. Building is fairly new, no problems that plagued others such as Lou's, and it stays busy. Why would it move?
Sincerely, why make the trek in crazy traffic down south when you can stay safe in your own back yard? Or come over from the area while you spend your money in Madison County on the weekends as most do? Makes sense to me... besides, Baptist alone will keep Poplar open, and those of us still cursed to have to work downtown will do our part for North Congress. No one is going out of business... it is a win for all.
"Hey Madison, how about a place where people can have fun? There’s not much for kids to do."
Feel free to open whatever kid-oriented facility you would like to see. It's a free country and all that......
Yay!!!! Be happy about something some of you hateful bitches.
@12:12 PM
Me or you? You appear to be projecting your misery onto me.
Great news! Since I rarely go that area of Jackson any more, but always enjoy Keifer's, I will definitely enjoy the new location. Thanks for the update, KF!
Now one can enjoy their gyro and pita mozz and not worry if their Ford F150 will get broken into or flat out stolen from the parking lot.
unfortunately, it has gotten sketch around Baptist go behind Baptist and ride around
I hope there’s someone as dedicated to bashing y’all as y’all are to bashing Jackson. Y’all deserve it.

You go to YaYa's if you want greek food. You go to the others for American greek food. And I like them all!
@10:41 Jackson requires a 9'x18' parking space. Mayor Mary requires a 10'x20' parking space. The extra foot of width is one of the greatest things about Madison. It's so much easier to park in Madison versus other places.
Hate to see it. Madison offers absolutely nothing to anyone
Does anything make you people happy? March 16, 2022 at 10:26 AM
Sure, it makes my day, actually, to wait for 8:00 a.m. to see all the new posts on nine Jacktown/Lumumba threads. That just makes me happy as a clam.
And your constant passive/aggressive personality is noted, KF.
I live on the border of Brandon and Flowood.
I like parts of Jackson.
I like parts of Madison.
That plan will never work in Madison. The building is not brick and it has no arches.
Should be interesting enough. If they were smart they would’ve got it as close to 463 as possible.
I was always amazed that the location next to Baptist kept chugging along, but then again hospital employees an Millsaps students were a big reason. What’s more amazing is the next street over (West) was the edge of everything gone downhill.
Garbage
David turner the developer of lost rabbit lives in Belhaven and is developing Belhaven township. It’s really neat so far
I work with some GI associates physicians that are helping him on this and live there as well
Seems like a nice plan and plenty of good people live in Belhaven and kiefers could never close that location nor are they planning on it. Place stays packed and they support the area big time. Stop with the Jackson madison Brandon bashing
People in Belhaven can afford to live where they want to they like where they live.
@8:09 PM
Well actually, we could name the business “McDowell’s.”
7:21 ...Lol, GI associates. Pay their employees less than fast food workers !
10:33 and 10:57
Wife: do you like my new haircut?
Husband. Uh, yeah.
Wife: Oh, you didn't like the old one?
The owner of this troll farm is surprised anonymous posters troll on his troll farm?
It’s surreal….the owner gets $$$ from clicks so the more trolls the more money and then she clutches her pearls and screams (in her high heels and terry cloth xxx robe) “oh my you people are so negative!”
Only in America
@11:54
i’m certain that the owner of this blog makes his money by NOT publishing certain stories about certain rich locals.
@ March 16, 2022 at 8:09 PM
I forgot Madison was Brick City, LOL!!!!
Isn't a troll who simply makes shit up ans spews it to gaslight folks ? If a person believes what they are saying and spews is it really trolling ? This site has trolls but it isn't a troll farm. You are welcome KF.
The posters who come on this blog to mention trolls have no idea what one is...even when looking in the mirror.

Why yes, yes it does. I'm happy when the blog owner incessantly posts critically about PERS when his knowledge is infantile, at best...and when he runs four to six threads concurrently about the ills of the city of Jackson.
In fact, two-trick ponies always make me happy. Happy Happy.
The only thing different between this place and the Madison Subway Shop will be that Greeks own this one and Indians own the other.
@9:49
I said the physicians live in Belhaven not the employees. I am a medical sales rep and they are one of my clients. Stop being so hasty and read posts before replying. These guys and girls I’m speaking of aren’t minimum wage in the least.
Now the MCSD central office higher-ups don’t have to travel to Jackson for their two hour lunches. They can just stay within their paycheck’s borders and laugh merrily about life and others. It’s a lucky day for them.
I look forward to go8ng and hope it succeeds.
