The mental patients are running the asylum.
Where is Bobcat?
You can't fix stupid X2, right?
Between the two, you've got a combined IQ approaching room temperature.
Would someone please educate me as to why in the world Jackson and Hinds County voters continue to elect and reelect these fools to serve them? Please show us any Positive results these fools have afforded the voters!!
It was the best of times.....it was the worst of times for Tater Salad and Bisquit Boy. The popcorn has grown stale ....remote battery almost dead. Pull my finger said the Toddler King ! Cause he pooted.
Can someone fill me in on who the president is? Why can’t the other supervisors make a rule that if you make a scene you can be arrested?
This is the result of having a bunch of low IQ, low information voters supporting a guy that I'm sure many of them knew was a batshit crazy abuser, all to get Uncle Tom out of office.
12:20, well, to be factual, neither Archie nor Calhoun has been re-elected. This is the first term for the both of them.
Further, Archie was not legally elected, but an incompetent former Judge (incompetent because he either didn't understand the law, or didn't care to pay attention to it) decided that he should serve.
You cannot take David Archie serious until he starts throwing somebody's clothes into the street.
Re-electing these clowns is about as rational as claiming Jacktown murder rates are caused by poverty!!!!!
Pretty sure Archie is in the big chair as of midnight 2 days ago if the trend is correct. He could end all of this by spilling the beans on the real reason they all so triggered. Folks get like this when they know they have committed felonies.
Maybe it's a side effect of the vaccines.
archer is so delusional. How can you call someone a disruption when he disrupted all the meetings... they didn't vote him as president.
I am astounded that a city with this kind of sophisticated , educated and dedicated leadership can lead North America in murders per capital. I think you would have insurrection if they knew the parents of these kids being murdered.
It just occurred to me that with this clown show in full bloom, KWJ is pretty much in charge. Free to do whatever he pleases.
2:03 : But is there a rule that ends ones run at a year ? Or is it one of those un written rules that the current prez wants to ignore. We would have all be better off with RG staying in the spot.
This reminds me of the first few minutes of the iconic film,
"Gone With the Wind".
To paraphrase:
One of the movie characters announce "It's quitting time".
Another character gets mad and says "You can't say when it's quitting time, only I can say when it's quitting time".
Then within a spit-second, the other character screams:
"IT"S QUITTING TIIIIIIME"!
so has anyone driven by the Archie house in Jackson lately to check up on those 'home remodeling' upgrades? i'm pretty sure (without checking) that it's still an abandoned home...
When they get done bickering can they pass a resolution condemning Kenny Wayne's choice of men's suits?
Back in the 90's and 2000's in Hinds County, the rules were changed multiple times about who would be president at the beginning of a year. That being said, the importance of 'president of the board' is WAY overestimated in these egomaniac's minds. It basically means who gets to talk the most at a meeting. Which is why they don't want Archie to have the job. And the Calhouns (both of them) were some of the worst at running a meeting. They should just let Graham the legend do it. It's about the only thing he's almost good at.
The current president has to resign or be voted out by the others before a new president can take over. Was the current one voted out?
Who’s on first?
4:43, actually, no. That's not the way it works.
In recent past history, the board (in Hinds County; not necessarily what other counties do) set a policy that at the beginning of a new board (following the election) they would elect a President, who serves for one year and a Vice President who will rise to the President's position at the end of the year. After the end of the first year, they would elect a new VP that would rise to the President's chair at the end of that second year.
But, that is nothing but a policy. Calhoun pushed through a 'change' of policy a few days ago that recinded that policy and made the President's term last the entire four years of office (which is what some other counties do.)
Calhoun tried this earlier, but according to Archie's arguments it takes a 75% vote to change the policies, which as long as Archie and Graham were present Credell couldn't get.
But at the shouting/wrestling match last week, Archie was asked to leave the meeting for a short while by a Deputy, and while he was out, Calhoun had the motion made, seconded and voted on which passed with three votes. I think Graham abstained, or else he voted no. It was hard to discern from the video.
So - it has now come down to having proven the preverbial old truth; you sleep with dogs and wake up with fleas. This board started with Graham, Archie and Calhoun partnered together, which led to Calhoun being president. But then Calhoun pulled a Madison County BOS move, and transferred his alliance and partnered with Gavin and McGowan. Nothing new here, the various supervisors in Madison County have made those transfers for years. The difference here is that they do it across political lines but do it civilly. Here, the political lines are factions of the same party, and they do it with much more entertainment value.
6:44…… well put. Meanwhile nothing gets done but theft.
Archie loses in court.
When you are reclining in your armchair pondering the downward spiral of what is the cesspool that exists as we recognize, though only because we are told, as Hinds County… all you need to do is watch these clowns. This is what the public wants… any questions? If so, see yourself out, thanks.
Archie loses in the morning at 9:00 a.m.
Who wants to bet against me? I will take any amount...
It should be Must See TV!
Will the last person to leave Jackistan please turn off the water and lights? Oh wait, the water is already turned off, right?
Two presidents is kind of like "everyone gets a trophy," right?
Thanks 6:44 for cutting the chaff to explain the dynamics of what this power struggle has been about. I don't follow HC politics that closely to stay sane, so that helped my understanding a lot.
This entire board needs to be voted out!!! HInds county deserves better than this. THey need to see how other counties run their boards. These men are nothing but a bunch of children and the antics today was deplorable
David even showed Tyree who’s really in charge. Wow…..
The Democrats in a nutshell.
It looks like Archie was removed from today's meeting by the sheriff. Tell us more kingfish?
Amazing this behavior, all for the privilege of calling a meeting to order and to sign documents on behalf of the county. That's right folks, this is the additional perks of the position compared to being simply a Member. Board President is not a prestige position. I'd avoid it like the plague.
The comment made was that Calhoun would oversee today's meeting only.
By statue they can be removed. What is the hold up Governor?
Title 25 - PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES; PUBLIC RECORDS
Chapter 5 - REMOVALS FROM OFFICE
§ 25-5-3 - Governor empowered to remove elective county officials
The Governor is hereby empowered, in accordance with the provisions of Section 139 of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890, through the procedure and under the regulations prescribed in Sections 25-5-3 through 25-5-37 and for the reasons and causes set forth, to remove any elective county officer in this state; and every elective officer of any county in this state may be removed from office by the Governor at any time when done in compliance with the regulations hereinafter set forth.
Q Does the Board of Supervisors have the authority to remove an individual member from his position on the board?
A Section 25-5-1 provides methods of removing a supervisor from office for certain felony convictions or a judicial finding of unsound mind. The Governor has the authority under Section 25-5-3 to remove an elective county official for knowingly or willfully failing, neglecting, or refusing to perform any of the duties required of such officer by law. Finally, an official’s neglect of duty that results in a violation of Section 97-11-37 authorizes removal by a court of competent jurisdiction. None of these provisions authorize the Board of Supervisors to remove an individual board member for unethical conduct. (Attorney General’s Opinions to Holmes, November 7, 2014)

So WLBT is click-baiting also? Have you contacted them? Probably not.
