CCJ is laughing as they have their own water well. They decided years ago to have their own water supply as it would be cheaper in the long run with all their water needs instead of paying the city. Boy, what a smart move.
@10:07 are you sure that is accurate? Maybe the golf course has its own well, but that wouldn't extend to the residential lots I wouldn't think? Can you provide some clarity? I don't think CCJ could operate a water system and provide water to single family residential homes within Jackson's city limits or certificated area.
Hope they fix it before the next Chicken Tournament. Question, do you need to boil water you add whiskey or Bourbon to? Seems like a waste of time.
The Club does not provide drinking water to the residents.
Thanks goodness the mayor is back in town to get the city through the latest water crisis.
You know they would never drink tap water at CCJ. Maybe that bottle stuff.
Jackson has regularly exceeded lead and other metals levels according to the EPA. Yet they keep issuing boil notices. Boiling water increases the lead concentration percentages in water. Should these boil directives changed to don’t use directives?
I've been " told" for years , that CCJ was on "well water".
Geez, you don't think all the contaminants have gotten into the aquifers south of the Ross Barnett? What a shock...NOT!
The sources of Jackson water are the Reservoir and Pearl River surface water. Water from both, of course, is treated before going to consumers.
We are allergic to tap water at the CCJ. So this is not newsworthy. Move along
@2:52 hits the mark. Boiling COJ's lead-laden water INCREASES lead concentration. I live in the CCJ and we're looking at houses in Madison and Ridgeland. If COJ maintains current trajectory, it will implode in the next 10 years. Roads, bridges, water...you name it. It's all rotted and decayed. No tax base to fix. Don't see a way forward.
There is a water leak coming up through the asphalt on West Street in front of the cemetery. I wonder when that will be fixed.
11:12 It’ll be fixed when the crater protected by an orange barrel at west and northeast corner of the cemetery is fixed. Been reduced to one lane there for two years now. Hold your breath.
