Hope y'all like that look. It'll be every corner in Jackson when "medical" weed passes followed by legal recreational weed. Go walk the Strip in Las Vegas or wander through Denver if you don't believe it.

@ 9:08 I agree completely. I was in Vegas, for my last time, a few months ago and i swear I was concerned I would fail a drug test if administered due to the second hand smoke. Made me sick. NY is the same way all of Manhattan smells like weed. Passing this will not make any city better.

Early bird gets the worm, but what does early worm get?

Even a zombie can get money & free food working at a restaurant.

You know, if weed was ever legalized, there is nothing stopping cities or state from applying public drunk or imbibing in public to weed.

I have no problem with legalizing marijuana just as soon as a breathalyzer is developed to make sure that stoned citizens can be held liable for driving under the influence.

Apparently most of the readers on here have never tried weed. People drive everyday, go to work everyday, live their lives all with a little buzz. It doesn't make you pass out. It doesn't make you stupid. It doesn't make you try other drugs. That zombie guy was on something serious.

I bet you all drink though.

Good Christians here it seems…..wait

Weed was legalized briefly. I-65 made it illegal to arrest people for possession of an ounce. It also gave a long list of conditions that were “approved”. This site found a dial-a-doctor that guaranteed you’d get a MMJ card or your money back.

That fully, that law was overruled. ,perhaps we can now get a reasonable law passed.

So just what the hell does a bum lying on the corner have to do with legalized cannabis? Is grass that potent? So you smoke it and automatically pass out on the corner? Bullshit! I’ve seen bums drunk and passed out on corners since I could sit in a car seat. And that’s over six decades ago. You clowns are gonna have to do better than that. You sound like you belong on MSNBC.

Cannabis has been here for over a hundred years. We’ve won two world wars, Korea, Vietnam, The Gulf Wars and we’re still in Afghanistan. Men and Women have come home half themselves with PTSD. A symptom that could be treated with cannabis. And a host of other issues that opioids or antidepressants won’t even touch. But here we are back in 1972!

@ 10:36 I don't disagree with what you are saying here. The issue I have is that it goes from people needing this in the privacy of their home for the reasons you have outlined to people walking around in public getting baked and me having to be around this. You can't walk around with a case of beer and even if you could other people are not exposed to your beer. I hate smelling dope all over the place. This get legalized and every public function you got o smells like a cheech and chong event. Not being prudish here. I drink beer. I do not smoke weed because to me its not any fun. I don't think less of people who do it's just not great for the community to have it everywhere. And lastly, I know I'm going to get hit for this but I do believe it's a gateway drug. Once you are exposed to it you are exposed to other drugs. I drank beer all through high school and college and drugs were out there. No one approached me about drugs because I did not smoke weed. Friend that smoked weed ended up using a lot harder stuff because they were exposed to it.

@10:58 so because it is wrong for you... it is wrong for everyone. Typical hypocrite. " I drink but don't smoke weed" Alcohol kills thousands every year in America. Weed has never killed anyone.

Anonymous said...

10:58 I understand your revulsion for the foul smell of weed when it is smoked. If legalized society should be intelligent enough to restrict it's use to certain areas with stringent rules. If not you will be overwhelmed because smokers just don't give a damn about non-smokers sensitivity. If you have ever been in a casino and some smoker sits next to you and blows their foul breath on you without any consideration, you know what I mean. They just don't give a shit. Weed is much worse. Get ready for it.

Anonymous said...

"It doesn't make you stupid" on this we agree. You were stupid for even considering smoking weed to start with.
Where did 10:58 say it was wrong for them to smoke weed? They said it wasn't any fun. I'm not a hypocrite. I have never consumed alcohol of any type, or used drugs that weren't prescribed by a doctor." Weed has never killed anyone," but has it ever been the reason for someone's death? How many lives have been lost over the struggle for street turf? A weed smoker calling someone else a hypocrite, that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

They need an open container law for that stinking weed. Your nose must die when you start smoking weed. Stinky, stinky, stinky.

Now, now y’all..! This dude was just tired and needed a place to rest for a minute.
A guy just can’t catch a break.

I wonder how many liver spot covered hands are typing these out of touch screeds?
Maybe it is the local liquor store owners themselves.
Marijuana is nothing. I am ready for medical LSD and DMT.

1:48 Dude, you must have really been abused as a youngster. Or were you cut out of the will?

Anonymous said...

Let me put down my drink and lip this Marlboro while I complain about weed.

That guy is on something else and you know it.

@1:59
Try “where four members of you family killed by a repeat drunk driver?” instead of projecting the origins of your sociopathy on others.

Anonymous said...

10:11 You, clearly, haven't smoked weed since the 70's! Yeah, it was fun back then, because you COULD walk around with a little buzz. Not anymore! That nuclear weed that's out now isn't fun, it's incapacitating. F that!

By the way, I CAN drink without getting drunk, but I CAN'T smoke/eat weed without getting high. Period. Fundamental difference.

Anonymous said...

Panhandling is not an issue with St.D security.

(St.D security are the fat guys that drive Golf Carts ... while wearing a MHP Smokie-bear style Hat)

But I feel for anyone trying to sneak a Marlboro Lite in the St.D parking garage.

Those fat men riding the golf carts (are better than the US Marshals) when it comes to busting those evil tobacco smokers.

Isn that the HQ for the crime center?

@4:16 - “ By the way, I CAN drink without getting drunk, but I CAN'T smoke/eat weed without getting high. Period.”

Just like alcohol, weed comes in different strengths, but since it’s on the black market, you don’t know what you get. They’ve got weed now that has no psychoactive effects that is made for children with seizures. No different than a moonshine during prohibition. I would also point out that you sound like a very experienced drinker, and with that comes a different tolerance.

Anonymous said...

@4:16 since I was not born until the late 1960's, your assumption is obviously totally wrong. Just because you have a weak mind and can't handle the good shit doesn't mean everyone can handle the good shit.

Anonymous said...

Not getting into the legalized marijuana debate, but posting this video is shameless.

You have the low points of your life out on the internet and see how you like it.

Anonymous said...

Is that you in the video, 10:48? If this isn't you, how do you know this was one of the low points of his life? There are lots of things lower than sleeping on a sidewalk. Just saying.

Anonymous said...

“It doesn’t make you stupid “. “It’s never killed anyone”. How old are you, 14? Of course it makes you stupid if you do it very often. Of course it’ll kill you if you’re driving stoned and hit a tree or another car. What idiocy. Nobody should be driving under the influence of any sedative , including THC.

Anonymous said...

@12:25 THC is NOT a sedative. Do you or have you tried it? Obviously not.

Anonymous said...

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/sleep-newzzz/201905/what-you-need-know-about-cannabis-and-sleep

Yeah, it’s a sedative and yeah I’ve smoked it.

10:59, don’t be an idiot on purpose. You and I both know that’s not the peak of his life.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
