Very few people are critical listeners or observers. Most see and hear whatever they expect and then move on. On the other hand, as a friend said years ago, you have to believe it, i.e. reality/truth, before you can see it.
Was the 2020 election stolen or saved? Molly Ball wrote a book-long article in Time Magazine last week entitled, “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election.” It’s an exceptionally long read for a magazine article, but equally in-depth with many details. Her opening lines set the tone, or better, the goal of her heroes and heroines’ conspiracies.
Ball wrote, “A weird thing happened right after the Nov. 3 election: nothing. The nation was braced for chaos. Liberal groups had vowed to take to the streets, planning hundreds of protests across the country. Right-wing militias were girding for battle. In a poll before Election Day, 75% of Americans voiced concern about violence.”
Actually, after the election, “liberal groups” continued to riot and protest their usual causes in big cities. But those riots and protests continued to be “mostly peaceful” according to media reports.
Those like Ball who believed, “Right-wing militias were girding for battle,” surely believed they were doing so in preparation for a Biden win. In case you missed it (ICYMI) the new and improved LEFT narrative includes fear of “white nationalist and far-right wing militia violence.” I guess it’s about time to recognize those groups. “Far-left wing” Black Lives Matter and Antifa supporters have continued protesting routinely across the nation since last May. As House Speaker Pelosi said, “People will do what they do.”
You’ve likely heard about congressional committees considering some new domestic terrorist laws after the January 6 attack on the Capitol. This consideration raised alarms among minority organizations who feared their constituents might become targets of any new domestic terrorist legislation. More than 150 civil rights groups signed a letter to Congress a few weeks ago expressing concerns for their communities. They identified themselves as the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.
The group wrote, “We must meet the challenge of addressing white nationalist and far-right militia violence without causing further harm to communities already disproportionately impacted by the criminal-legal system.” In other words, any new laws need to be directed against white nationalists and other “far-right” wing groups. By all means, let’s make sure we target the RIGHT. We’ve already got plenty of laws against the LEFT. (Please note sarcasm here.)
LEFT politicians and pundits have been trying to rid America of racist words and laws forever. You may remember President Obama’s efforts to remove the term “Islamic terrorism” from public usage, to the extent that in November 2009 when Nidal Hasan murdered 13 people and injured 30 others at Ft. Hood, TX, the White House withheld information that Hasan was Muslim, and labeled his terrorist act “workplace violence.”
Political
correctness in America contends that only whites are racists, and that
no other races are capable of being racist. If only that were true.
Molly Ball’s article in Time detailed coordination among
thousands of diverse people and organizations along with complicit media
allies to remove from the White House the great white leader of racists
everywhere. They saw and heard what they expected.

Murdering police is wrong....no matter who you voted for.
If you were part of a group who helped murder police you are wrong.
Gardner is way past his prime. Despite his well known prejudice, the laws apply to everyone, not just whites. Lets move on to equal enforcement of law.
Is this guy paying you to run his columns? They have the reasoning, sophistication, and critical thinking skills of a precocious 7th grader.
Americans have been conditioned to perceive reality this way. There are plenty of very smart people who figured out a long time ago (with the aid of psychology) how to manipulate the masses. A lot of the techniques were pioneered in TV marketing.
Facebook (and reddit) both know about the dopamine release caused by getting “likes” and they are profiting from the addiction. Tim Cook of Apple recently made public statements about Facebook but he didn't specifically mention the dopamine. Reddit uses their downvote system and moderation to silence dissent and created the ultimate borg-like hive mind.
The only bastions of free speech eventuality turn into a glowing cesspool of memes and disinfo operations. Andd while informative, it is easy to manipulate and discredit unsophisticated rubes online, like with Q anon. Don’t expect any real changes. We would need a natural disaster to destroy the power grid for a generation or two to effect any meaningful change on society.
Mr Gardner is spot on. BLM & Antifa are racist hated filled terrorist groups.
His friend who said 'you have to believe it to see it' was wrong. I see lots of things I don't embrace and many I can hardly believe. He might have meant 'you have to understand it to see it'. But that would also be wrong.
This character has bought into something that's based entirely on false logic and then he runs with it.
10:26 and so are Qanon and the radical trumpers who attempted a coup and beat police officers with flagpoles that had USA flags on them.
i don’t know what’s worse- looting a target or having a insurrection that killed police.
Daniel is so flustered that he can’t muster a coherent thought. The ramblings of the deranged right have wrecked the GOP. Not sure where it ends, but it sure ain’t gonna be in conservatism.
Just another loudmouth with a platform, lecturing about a topic he knows little about, i.e., critical thinking and truth.

Move it north bub.
There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”
- Isaac Asimov
This is truer today than ever as the author of this crap so clearly exemplified.
Was this article supposed to be saltire? It’s got to be.
In This Thread:
A bunch of brainwashed ignoramus echochamber sheeple with no sense of irony.
Gardner isn’t completely wrong. Everyone is tuned into their preferred narrative. Very few understand that both narratives are coming from the same enemies of liberty. Unfortunately the sheeple have been successfully conditioned to recoil at the very mention of the enemy. So you have to be extremely creative with your delivery or you will spooky the sheep.
What does the enemy fear? Unity. If we stop pointing the finger at each other, we might start pointing it at them. They know all too well what will happen to them if everyone figures them out. It absolutely terrifies them.
The more shrill and hysterical the posts, the more you can be assured the author is speaking truth.
