Just like I said earlier, it's that damn gun shows, "open-carry," and the CIA selling crack to inner-city kids.
At least that's the perception.
200 Commerce is Hal n Mals. The post doesn't say what day it happened only that it was "last night".
Why doesn't JPD form an anti-gang unit to get guns off the streets & curtail gang-banging? It has worked in other cities. There's a gang for most blocks & neighborhoods in the city, yet nothing is ever said about these shootings & murders being gang-related. Surely such info is showing up in the data being gathered by the Sam Houston University professor working with the mayor's sister to solve Jackson's violent crime problem. Has anyone heard from that professor, by the way?
This just in. Lumumba consulting with Chicago Mayor to stop all the shootings.
Attn 12:32 It might not be a bad idea for the mayor to consult with the Chicago mayor as the murder rate in Jackson is three times that of Chicago.
12:28. They don't have enough to just perform patrol duties. Moral is in the shitter as well. The so called Task Force doesn't seem to be working in Jackson.
Shall we add, Next contestant.
JPD used to have police roadblocks in the city searching for drugs, guns, dui etc. If the mayor & Jackson popo were really serious about reducing crime they would start this back up. I promise you many guns would be taken off the street.
200 block of Commerce, Martin's or Hal and Mal's?
Amazing that a Infant shot in the head over the weekend in Meridian made News in South Carolina, but not Meridian.

Speaking of under reported Crime...this happened in June, & the 23 year old victim has yet to be identified.
Man stalked ATM, ambushed and killed woman, police say...
Teen accused of killing woman at Meridian ATM makes first court appearance
Investigators say Burks then threw the woman out of her car and drove away. The woman's vehicle was later recovered at the Hillview apartment complex in Marion.
“I want to compel all of the citizens of Meridian to speak to your children... we realize the criminal element that’s going on within this city, age is dropping,” said Interim Police Chief Charles Coleman. “It’s to the age of 15 to 17 to 18 year-olds who are committing these violent acts.”

Lock and load-
Kingfish, you continue to promote only the negative news that hits Jackson. But why am I surprised. You have an agenda with your little blog and you seek attention (and revenue) from the racist eyeballs attracted to your posts.
Wow-
Four "nexts" in one statement.
Top Years for Jackson Murder:
2020 = 123 (Projection based on current murder rate.)
1995 = 92
1994 = 91
2020 = 85 (YTD)
2018 = 84*
1993 = 84
2019 = 83*
1991 = 76
2008 = 73
1996 = 67
* Antard Lumumba Yearly Average = 83.5
12:28pm how do you get guns off the street when owning and carrying guns are completely legal acts? Except for previously convicted felons and minors, you can't take guns from anyone else.
1:18 What I find interesting is that, in your accusation of KF, you brought up race; however, in KF's original post, there is no mention whatsoever of the race of anyone involved. Sure YOU'RE not the racist? (or did you pick up on a racial tone because a "dark colored" sedan was referenced?)
Add one more to the butcher's bill. Randy Bell just reported on WJDX that a man was shot to death Saturday morning on Percy V. Simpson Drive.
1:18 give me something positive that's happened in the City of Jackson on the last 3 days...
It's funny how there are probably 10x's the guns in the suburbs than in the streets of Jackson. In fact this past weekend many were on full display as hunting season kicked off. Many of the guns were possessed by minors even(gasp)! And not one murder that I can think of. How in the devil does that happen? Further proof its not the guns that need policing, it's the people.
" If the mayor & Jackson popo were really serious about reducing crime they would start this back up." One the popo are serious and seriously undermanned. Two, the Mayor would need to on board with any true anti-crime initiative, which he is not.
@1:52. If you will notice most of the gun crime in Jackson is comitted by felons and minors. They need to start getting assistance from the feds. If they start locking up the girlfriends, baby mommas, and family members that provide these felons and criminal juveniles with guns you may see a stem in the violence.
To Antar at 1:18:
Well, Kingfish did report on the new parking meters in downtown Jackson last week. Did you miss that? That's a positive, right? Not his fault that Jackson Democrats are turning their own town into a killing field. He just reports what everyone else is reporting.
Time for another YouTube video from the mayor about how this is someone else’s fault
" Kingfish, you continue to promote only the negative news that hits Jackson. But why am I surprised. You have an agenda with your little blog and you seek attention (and revenue) from the racist eyeballs attracted to your posts. "
OK 1:18.
As 2:20 PM said . . . please tell us about any REALLY positive news happening in Jackson . . . not only within the last three days . . . but try to enlighten us about positive events during the last three weeks.
And while I'm glad that what's left of the zoo has reopened . . . looking at "Knox the giraffe" doesn't count
So...lemee see if I got this sorta right. 1:18 claims Kingfish is negligent or maybe even racist for pointing out the crime problem in Jacktown. The problem is not the number of murders or the number of murderers...the problem is bringing this shit-show to the attention of the motoring public. I see. thanks for that, 1:18. If we don't know about it...it ain't happenin'. Izzat that sorta right?
Perhaps JPS should be in school with after-school activities. How much of this is due to "virtual" school and kids with lots and lots of time to do nothing?
I too, would like some positive Jackson news from 1:18. A little ray of sunshine, if you will?
Lubys and Fuddruckers will liquidate. They've been closed on I55 for months so more empty space in Jackson. Never understood why they built there in Jackson.
They are all listed as "motive unknown". It is obvious that the motive is to scare off anybody with a job or a bank account.
To quote a movie..."if you kill enough random people, they will go"
All but one of these victims are guilty of Lumumba curfew violations.
@ 4:49...Fuddruckers....Please watch Idiocracy 2006. Fuddruckers plays an essential part in the United States future, 500 years from now...or actually now.
Probably that club down the street from Martin’s and Hal and Mal’s. It is next to George Bell Rug Cleaning. It opens for special events now and caters to the majority. Used to be Fire, Lucky’s etc.
I see the mayor of Jackson made a statement about the huge party that occurred on Dixon Rd. this weekend. He had a lot of big talk about how the gathering was illegal and the participants were breaking the law and how the police will not tolerate this. Then Mr. Mayor, why the hell weren't the police out there breaking up the illegal activity? The is at least the second such illegal gathering since your orders were issued. All talk AFTER the fact but won't do a damn thing about it while it is happening. CHICHEN S#&T! Worried about losing votes if he upsets the criminals.
@7:48 so many great Corporate Slogans from that modern classic. 100x funnier than any Mel Brooks schlock.
"Welcome to Costco... I love you"
and who could forget:
Carls, Jr... Fuck you, I'm Eating!
Somebody give Judge Green this info below and explain this is how it's done!!!!!
Vicksburg teen given $1 million bond, charged with 1st degree murder in shooting death of 14-year-old
@9:26...Wal-Mart was supposed to be used instead of Costco, but refused to allow/Threatened to sue if they were used.
ATTORNEY GENERAL - All the crops be dying for some reason & people are running out of food & shit & there's all these dust storms which caused that garbage abulanche & the economy's all bad & shit.
Joe: They're watering crops with a Sports Deink?
Joe: For the last time, I'm pretty sure what's killing the crops is this Brawndo stuff.
Secretary of State: But Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes.
Attorney General: So wait a minute. What you're saying is that you want us to put water on the crops.
Joe: Yes.
Attorney General: Water. Like out the toilet?
Joe: Well, I mean, it doesn't have to be out of the toilet, but, yeah, that's the idea.
Secretary of State: But Brawndo's got what plants crave.
Attorney General: It's got electrolytes.
Joe: Okay, look. The plants aren't growing, so I'm pretty sure that the Brawndo's not working. Now, I'm no botanist, but I do know that if you put water on plants, they grow.
Secretary of Energy: Well, I've never seen no plants grow out of no toilet.
Secretary of State: Hey, that's good. You sure you ain't the smartest guy in the world?
Joe: Okay, look. You wanna solve this problem. I wanna get my pardon. So why don't we just try it, okay, and not worry about what plants crave?
Attorney General: Brawndo's got what plants crave.
Secretary of Energy: Yeah, it's got electrolytes.
Joe: What are electrolytes? Do you even know?
Secretary of State: It's what they use to make Brawndo.
Joe: Yeah, but why do they use them to make Brawndo?
Secretary of Defense: 'Cause Brawndo's got electrolytes.
Narrator: After several hours, Joe finally gave up on logic & reason & simply told the cabinet that he could talk to plants & that they wanted water.
Well, we almost made it three days without a homicide. Jackson police now report a man shot to death at a South Jackson apartment complex this morning.
