Update: The victim is the defendant's ex-boyfriend. She has a restraining order against him.
The Pearl Police Department issued the following statement.

She is now qualified to be a CPA for an HOA.
More white trash....Yet considered a leader in Mississippi.
I’d let her do my taxes, she cute
the bond fee/fine of 25K is over half the amount stolen, if true. bail bond business needs reform, hardly a high flight risk.
Another Tommy Robertson situation. Keeping up the image.......
How do these people think they will not be caught?
Outrageously high bail. Obvious scam. I'd be looking out for a kick-back given by the bail bond company to someone in charge in this case.

Two hundred fifty thousand bond for Fifty thousand crime. They must know something else about the perp.
A timeline of alleged theft versus relationship now seems important!! (Did he know funds were “missing” before the breakup? Things that make you go hmmm.)
I really hope Pearl PD had their investigation put together and complete. If this is just some lover’s quarrel, her CPA practice is ruined. It would have been better for her to have been arrested for a violent crime than embezzlement as a self-employed CPA.
This definitely seems to be an ex boyfriend trying to ruin her business and reputation. I hope that she has enough evidence to file a slander or business interference suit after this gets thrown out.
