State Representative Adrienne Wooten voted against a bill in the legislature that required doctors performing abortions or deliveries of children under the age of sixteen to preserve tissue or blood samples and report to authorities they suspect a sex crime took place. Ms. Wooten is running for Hinds County Circuit Judge.
JJ reported on March 13, 2013:
The conference report later passed the Senate on a unanimous vote while Banks, Broomfield, Buck (5th), Buck (72nd), Clarke, Dickson, Evans (70th), Holloway, Huddleston (30th), Middleton, Myers, Perkins,Scott, Straughter, Thomas, Wooten, and Young still voted against the report in the House.
Get ready to get sick.... or mad. Most of the Black Caucus voted against HB #151. HB #151 is a step forward in the fight against child rape. Not statutory rape. Child rape. The bill requires doctors performing abortions or deliveries of children under the age of sixteen to preserve tissue or blood samples and report to authorities they suspect a sex crime took place. The bill states:
"Any law enforcement officer who receives a report of a sex crime against a minor as defined by this section which results in a pregnancy shall file charges against the offender on behalf of the victim when probable cause exists that such crime was committed
Any physician or midwife who performs an abortion on a minor who is less than fourteen (14) years of age at the time of the abortion procedure shall * * * collect fetal tissue extracted during the abortion in accordance with rules and regulations adopted pursuant to this section if it would be reasonable to suspect that the pregnancy being terminated is the result of a sex crime against a minor.
Any physician or midwife who delivers a baby of a minor who is under sixteen (16) years of age shall collect umbilical cord blood in order to determine paternity in accordance with rules and regulations adopted pursuant to this section and if it would be reasonable to suspect that the pregnancy resulted from a sex crime against a minor. It shall be reasonable to suspect that a sex crime against a minor has occurred if the mother of the baby was less than sixteen (16) years of age at the time of conception and at least one of the following conditions also apply: (i) the mother of the baby does not name the father of the baby, or (ii) 136 lists the father of the baby as unknown, or (iii) the person named as the father of the baby disputes his fatherhood, or (iv) if the 138 person listed as the father is twenty-one (21) years of age or older, or (v) if the person named as the father is deceased
When medical treatments, including deliveries and abortions, are administered pursuant to this subsection, the medical facility at which the treatments are administered shall maintain forensic samples, including umbilical cord blood and/or fetal tissue, until forensic samples are collected by an appropriate authority as determined by rules and regulations promulgated by the State 146 Medical Examiner pursuant to this act." The bill passed the House 99-18 in January and the Senate 42-10 yesterday. Want to guess who voted against this bill? Most of the black caucus. Not one single white legislator voted against this bill. Here are the opposing votes:
House: Bailey, Blackmon, Broomfield, Clarke, Coleman (29th), Ellis, Evans (70th), Harrison, Hines, Huddleston (30th), Johnson, Middleton, Perkins, Straughter, Thomas, Williams-Barnes, Wooten, Young.
Senate: Kelvin Butler, Frazier, Horhn, Jackson of 11th, Jackson of 32nd, Kennie Wayne "Hollywood" Jones, David Jordan, Sollie Norwood, Derrick Simmons, Willie Simmons
You are reading that correctly. All of the votes against requiring doctors to report suspected child rape were black legislators although to be fair, some of the Black legislators such as Cockerham, Campbell-Butler, Coleman, Watson, and Calhoun voted for this bill. Its bad enough they don't say a word about the unwed birthrate in the black community and scream racism or uncle tom whenever someone disagrees with them but fighting to stop child rape? What the hell is going on? Too many of them know too many men who like to rape 13 year olds? Don't believe me? Go to the ob-gyn section at UMC and see how many girls under the age of 14 show up pregnant.

When she was running against John Reeves in 2007 when he still lived in South Jackson, I had the privilege of "touring" part of that district. She had a sign up with a picture of Reeves and a picture of her. It said (paraphrasing because I didn't have a camera phone on me at the time): "this District used to look like him, but this district has changed." I'll let you read between the not-so-subtle lines. I grew up in the Delta, and I hadn't seen racial politics that crass before or since. I hope Hinds County has the sense to vote Matt Allen in.
You must remember that among many Black people their loyalty (and obedience) to the Democratic party's agenda is greater than their concern for the long term welfare of their own people. The marching orders as they relate to unrestricted abortion on demand come from high up in the party ranks and the party peons are expected to go along no matter the consequences. Some Black representatives who are in the minority will buck the party when it's platform hurts the people they claim to help. Most like Wooten are more personally ambitious than concerned about such conflicts in interest. If she wins, at least she won't be in the legislature any more, and she'll be just one more arrogant ass to sit on the Hinds County bench. One step forward two steps back.
Not only did she vote against it, she was the main person to argue against it on the floor. Pull the video.
Jackson will have shrunk to about 160,000 population and upwards of a 86-87% black majority by the time the 2020 census data is collected and crunched. The city will lose at least one Senate and maybe one House seat. Hinds County will definitely lose one House seat. The black Democrat monolithic voting bloc will have Jackson, their pyrrhic victory, their green ideologue Mayor, their massive debt load and cratering tax base but nothing else. There will be no one left to fight but each other over crime, crap schools and third world infrastructure.
Nothing Wooten has done, or does as a judge, that is soft on crime will mean a damn thing to the black Democrat monolithic voting bloc. Tomie Green is the model and the model works.
Ms. Wooten was my representative some years back. I wrote asking for her support on several pending measures intended to clarify and broaden citizen's right to carry a firearm for self defense. As a female living alone, self defense is an important issue to me, particularly in this district, which does have a crime problem.
I don't recall exactly what her reply was, but I do remember it being rude and very clear that she had no intention of supporting the measures I mentioned, and in fact strongly supports more gun control.
I will never understand people like her and Tomie Green that have no issue with their constituents being left helpless and victimized. I also cannot understand how they continue to get elected despite this.
Really not fair to have an article like this the day of election without at least giving the candidate an opportunity to respond. Maybe they were not opposed to the bill but they wanted the doctors to preserve tissue in every case where there is a minor or not all. If you want the citizens to be informed, provide fair coverage of both candidates, their good and their bad, not just one.
Adrienne Wooten works for Ed Blackmon's law office in Canton.
The people who vote in this election do not read this blog.
10:18 Good point, if the opposition proposed legislation to preserve tissue in every case where there is a minor involved as you suggest. Did they? If so, what happened?
She should've advertised with JJ so she could get the kid glove treatment like Weill and McCarty.
39211 has racially collapsed. The demographics have drastically changed in the last 10 years. Lake Trace, Northpointe, Adkins Drive, Colonial Country Club area, McLeod, area behind Courthouse on OCR, Plantation Blvd, on and on have gone dramatically black. Heatherwood and Briarwood are well on their way. Allen winning will be tough. Bad thing is, Wooten is not a nice person and half crazy. Ask a legislator or a (white) attorney.
I will bet that next 2020 census shows 39211 is 60% black (up from 9% in 2000) and the city up from 82 to 88%+.
Actually they do read this blog, only a handful, but there are some. One of them actually let me know about this blog at church.
10:24 Blackman is her uncle and the ONLY reason she works for him. He and wifey cash bankrolled the woman. I am telling ya....she is one triggered , crazy black woman.
Better get used to it. Gone are the days of Fred Banks and Reuben Anderson when Hinds County black lawyers put their best foot forward with Judges who could stand any scrutiny as jurists. It's time for the jive and the hustle. Favoritism, nepotism, activism, and every other ism here we go.
Powerful and honest reporting here Kingfish. Kudos.
I would prefer we quit wasting money trying to litigate settler reproduction rights? This is settled law folks, but I guess most of you don’t respect the law?
