Another take on the Zimmerman case

Daniel Flynn wrote a thought-provoking piece in the American Spectator about the Trayvon Martin case from a different angle- males in society:

"one could more easily turn on any cable news network’s wall-to-wall coverage of the Zimmerman-Martin case, a tragedy involving two males fumbling in the dark on how to be men.

Whatever the protagonists may be guilty of they are surely innocent of being men. The six female jurors, not tasked to reach a verdict on the manhood of the central players, nevertheless know the truth of this more than other trial observers....

On the maturity count, Trayvon Martin might reasonably plead not guilty by reason of chronology. Seventeen-year-old boys quite often act like, in the vernacular of Zimmerman, “f—-ing punks.” Most grow out of it, but Mr. Martin unfortunately will not get that chance. Rarely, in spite of their exaggerated masculine posturing, do teenage boys behave as mature males.

Martin’s Twitter feed reads as a parody of poor grammar and an even more impoverished vocabulary. There, he’s a “No Limit N-gga,” girls he knows are “bitches” and “hoes,” and the primary extracurricular activity he immerses himself in is marijuana. The gold-teeth smile, the tattoos, the ten-day suspension from school, and all the rest appear as pathetic attempts to assert his virility. Yet, as his supporters point out, Trayvon also liked Skittles and Chuck E. Cheese’s. The presentation that Trayvon affected and the Trayvon that his supporters present are, like so many making the journey from adolescence to adulthood, at war internally.

George Zimmerman, in contrast, projects a courtroom image of a meek pudgeball who wouldn’t (couldn’t?) hurt a fly — and not in a Norman Bates way. Perhaps this is the effect that his lawyers intended. But it jibes with what we know. According to one unidentified witness, Zimmerman endured a domineering mother’s frequent beatings and a docile father who failed to stick up for his kids. His mixed-martial arts instructor described him as “physically soft,” a student who lacked athleticism and “didn’t know how to really effectively punch.”

Zimmerman’s screams and Trayvon slamming Zimmerman’s head into the concrete weren’t the acts of men. A man is neither a woman nor an animal. The proper response to an assault by a 158-pound teenager isn’t to scream for help or grab for a gun. It is to punch back or better yet subdue and issue a spanking. And a sucker punch, the repeated hitting of a downed opponent, and the bashing of a skull against the concrete doesn’t pass muster with the Marquess of Queensberry. Perhaps the “No Holds Barred Fighting” dojo that Zimmerman had signed up for would approve.

Their households lacked strong male role models; their society, even more so. Four in ten American kids enter the world without their father married to their mother. When schoolboys begin to exhibit traits natural to their sex, the energetic fellows earn the wrath of detention and Ritalin. Any game that highlights contact — from dodgeball to football — comes under attack. Primetime television celebrates the fop and makes a buffoon out of fathers (see Simpson, Homer; Everybody Loves, Raymond). Jobs relying on the physical characteristics favored in males have been outsourced to robots and foreigners. When a pundit asked “Are Men Necessary?” a few years back it reflected the scarcity rather than the superfluity of the genuine article.

Civilizing men out of existence has come at great cost to civilization. Instead of men, we get feminine imitations lacking beauty. We get lost boys compensating by becoming barbarians. We get Sanford, Florida, February 26, 2012." Rest of essay

Neither Martin nor Zimmerman make my admiration list. The prosecution was so inept that I'll be shocked if Zimmerman is convicted of anything.
But will someone please explain how it is Zimmerman who describes himself as being straddled with Martin either pounding his head or covering his nose and mouth ( each with both of Martin's hands in use), can't (after taking martial arts), use his hands or legs to get free ? By his own description, Martin's knees are at his arm pit...not pinning his arms.
None of Martin's DNA is on the gun or holster, but Zimmerman has to shoot him in the chest rather than say," I got the gun pointed at your chest, I'll fire if you don't get off me."
No cracked skull...no concussion.
I had children who needed stitches from skull injuries worse than Zimmerman's and the bleeding was profuse...not dribbles. The kids weren't woozy or confused. Those wounds looked like bad scratches.
This is what happens when wannabe cops or those who imagine themselves macho protectors of their territory get to have guns handy.
And, let's face it. If the kid had been white, Zimmerman would have never followed him.

We also get rampant homosexuality and a society of men who choose to either stand by silently or duck cowardly behind the collective skirt of the militant degenerates and their man-hating female allies rather than standing up for that which is right and proper.

When I see heterosexual men engaging (mostly online) in this huffy, I'm-so-offended line of argument with people who dare to suggest that homosexuality is wrong (and, by extension, that there is an absolute moral standard), I'm reminded of the weaselly little kid in A Christmas Story who followed the bully Scut Farcus around. They're all tough in a crowd, but run home to mommy when faced with actual confrontation.

This is the society liberals have wrought. Gun grabbing is a part of it, as is pushing gay rights, gender neutral policies, women in combat, etc. Once we have completely emasculated our society, men will be considered unnecessary and leftist society will eat itself.

Perhaps that is what it will take to return to a decent society.

No. If the kid would have been white, Zimmerman would have never been charged. A thug was killed in self defense and the typical 'people's reverends' show up and cry foul. Zimmerman didn't act in the wrong.

Again, where are the 'people's reverends' for the white kid who was beaten in copiah? Or the white kid who was assaulted by JPD?

a 17 year old that has a history on his text massages of fighting, trying to get a gun, drug use and calling ladies "bitches and hoes" is not a child. Recently in Jackson we had a 17 year old to shoot another in the head and dump the body on I55 south frontage road. That was an adult act. As far as profiling we all profile. Employers profile prospective employees; teachers profile students; suitors profile possible spouses. It is dark and raining, There have been break in's in the neighborhood by young black males. If I would have seen Trayvon in a black hoodie I would have profiled him as a possible thief or robber also. Don't tell me you would not. As a society we are told to report what is going on but sometimes we are told you have to be prepared to act--terrorist on a plane you would stand around. Trayvon could have been going to rob, rape or murder, Zimmerman had ever right to follow him to see what he was up to. that is what a good neighbor would do. If my neighbor sees (profiles) someone that does not belong in my 'hood that is what I would want him to do.

Whatever happened prior to the altercation between GZ and TM is a non-issue. Both had the right to be where they were on that night. However, regardless of what happened prior, when TM threw the "first punch" (literally), everything changed. GZ could have taken an ass whipping, or done what anybody else would do. Defend himself.

That is what happened according to both the defense, prosecution and GZ. Like it, or not, this came down to self defense. Period.

Had this been two white men or two black men the media would have never made mention of it. It's all about race and "poor me", wha, wha!!! And most of all, how much the media can stir the pot and sensationalize!!!! If George Zimmerman is not found innocent, we will know for certain it's because he is considered white (even though he is not). I hope he will appeal until the cows come home!!!

Anonymous said...

@4:24, what happened prior to the altercation is THE issue. Why get out the car and pursue a boy? Why not just make the phone call and wait it out? Why did the boy have to look like a thug? He looked like a boy on the phone with a girl in the drizzle. Yea, that's strange, but most teenage boys are strange. Well I know I was strange at seventeen. lol. But Trayvon was guilty of being on the phone in the rain with a girl. Wow. Zimmerman, admittedly saw it differently. He saw a thug. If I was Trayvon, I would've ran too. Zimmerman was loaded and cocked and chasing. Sh%$. Zimmerman was more of a thug. This is manslaughter everyday in the hood. You get in an altercation, somebody dies, that's manslaughter. Oh, the first grade answer is,,,, he hit me first. Well, why did you chase him? why did he look like a thug to you? Zimmerman needs to explore his inner self. Thugs don't walk to store in the rain to get skittles while on the phone. Thugs don't even go to school. Thugs don't continue talking and running while on the phone. Thugs carry weapons, they chase people down, and they kill. Then they lie about it and their families lie and say he was a good boy. This happens everyday with the parasites in Jackson. Trayvon was not a saint, he smoked weed and use foul language. So did Bill Clinton. He got suspended in school. So did I once or twice. Zimmy should have never gotten out of the car IN THE RAIN to look for a street sign because he forgot the street name that he cruises every single day while profiling. Gimme a break. Robocop needs to do time for killing that boy. That boy wasn't doing anything wrong on that night.

Such incidents happen every hour in this country. The media jump'ed on this story only to stir the racial pot & increase ratings.

The press succeeded in generating a national story, but it back fired when "the Dialog" turned to serious discussions about the 2nd amendment and self preservation from thugs.

So if the Floridian officials permit "social justice" riots (if a not guilty verdict is reached), God help us.

At least the Florida panhandle still seems to be a part of the USA.

Everyone can relax. Zimmerman was found not guilty, and despite the race baiting justice prevailed.

@5:50, the problem with your theory is that Trayvon Martin was NOT chased. Trayvon Martin did NOT run. Furthermore, George Zimmerman had every right to watch what Trayvon Martin was doing EVEN IF he had to follow him in order to do so. Trayvon Martin confronted George Zimmerman, NOT the other way around. Trayvon Martin assaulted George Zimmerman. You can cover your eyes and stick your fingers in your ears if you want, but it won't change these facts.

@9:47, well Zimmerman said he ran. Rachel Jeantel said he ran. Look at the distance from where Zimmy first saw him, and all people concur that Trayvon ran. Why on God's green earth you say he didn't run, I don't know. Trayvon ran, that's a fact my friend. Zimmerman did have the right to watch Trayvon, I agree. But as a watchman, your job is to WATCH. Not get out of your vehicle and go after him. Just watch, report what you see. After, Trayvon was spotted the first time, why couldn't Zimmy just call the police and let them do their job. I don't think ANY burglar would continue burglarizing once spotted. Trayvon fingerprints was on no properties. He was not a burglar. He was kid with skittles walking home in the rain, talking on the phone with a girl. That was what he was guilty of. Why cant he walk home and make it home safely without being messed with. I would've profile Martin in my neighborhood, no doubt about it. I would've called the police if I were Zimmerman. I would not have jumped out of my car in the rain and pursued him. The fact that Zimmerman got out of the car in the rain and even took it that extent is what we have to answer as honest Americans. Trayvon was not who Zimmerman thought he was. Zimmerman was wrong and we have to be honest about that. I would've thought he was a thug too. But I would've been wrong too. Trayvon was just a kid who didn't make it home because he was profiled. I think Trayvon passed the first lick, I think Trayvon had the right to pass that lick because he was seen as the aggressor in Trayvon eyes. Too bad we cant get Trayvons side of the story. That's why Zimmerman was found innocent, because we only have his side of the story. Justice did prevail because they could not prove that it wasn't self defense. I just think that Trayvon was acting in self defense too in his mind.

9:55 No, I quit trying, to hell with getting along with people I don't like regardless of what color they are. If they are not going to try and work and become a productive member of society. If they are going to wear their pants down to their knees. Scam the tax payers out of their money, and always state they are entitled because their great great grand parents were slaves. Its not about color, I just don't like anybody that is gonna act in such a manor. Call me a racist or whatever, I could care less what color you are if you act like this. Not saying you are, Im sure you were joking. But Im tired of having to watch what I say and trying to understand them. This case was cut and dry and its good that justice was done. The trail should have never happened.

I guarantee this one thing. If ole Georgy didn't have a gun on him, he WOULD NOT have went after that boy. Robocop felt big and bad with a gun on him. The question remains, can any armed person follow another person and that person not feel threatened. Do we as Americans have the right to fight someone who is armed and follow us if they think we are burglars. All of Zimmermans assumptions about Trayvon were wrong. Trayvon was not the burglar, did Zimmerman overreact?
I think OJ simpson was guilty, I think Zimmerman was guilty, I think De La Beckwith was guilty. They all were found not guilty at first. Not guilty is not the same as innocent. They just didn't have the evidence to convict. With one side of the story, the voice from the grave was not heard.

Anonymous said...

It DOES NOT matter if you are being followed you CANNOT initiate physical contact with said follower under the law. That is aggravated assault! People are stupid for saying Trayvon had every right to throw the first lick!

Anonymous said...

11:45 - de la Beckwith was never found not guilty. His trials ended with hung juries. That is why he was retried in 94. OJ was found not guilty in the criminal trial and, therefore, can never be retried for the murder of Nicole, just like Zimmerman can never be retried for the Martin situation. Not guilty, as far as the US legal system is concerned, DOES mean innocent.

OJ was found liable in a civil trial, which is different than a criminal trial, and we'll probably see some shenanigans along those lines, as well as some trumped-up civil rights charges courtesy of Obama and Holder, because the DOJ to them is about meting out justice to certain people and prosecuting favored causes. NBPP can intimidate voters and DOJ won't prosecute because Holder will not pursue charges against blacks, but he'll marshal the entire DOJ to beat down one little Hispanic in Florida. Just watch.

Anonymous said...

A jury has found the white Hispanic not guilty and the white African-American will say something shortly to inflame more race hate.

Anonymous said...

@10:38 there is a difference between "running away" and "running to hide". It is absolutely clear that Martin did NOT run away. If he had, he would still be alive. It is without question that Zimmerman did not stalk Martin with his gun in hand and an intent to shoot. If he had, Martin would have been shot long before he had a chance to punch Zimmerman in the face. As for "why didn't Zimmerman call the police?". He DID!!! And how can he "watch" him if he stays in his car while Martin continues to move? How is he going to tell the police, whenever they finally show up, which way he went if he can no longer see him. And HOW is it MARTIN'S right to walk wherever he wants whenever he wants but ZIMMERMAN has no such right???? And, by what logic should we assume that, just because he stopped at the store for some candy and a soft drink that he was neither capable of nor intent upon burglarizing somebody?? Criminals eat candy, too, you know. Furthermore, you've apparently never had any kids. Teenagers will tell their parents they are just going to walk down (or drive) to the convenience store for some skittles when, in fact, they are meeting a friend to pick up some weed..after they burglarize the neighbor's house to get something with which to buy that weed. It has ALWAYS been that way and it always will. Which is why a RESPONSIBLE parent will question the motives of any kid who claims to want to walk to the store -at night, in the rain- just for some skittles. I'd have told MY son he would do no such thing!! And I'd have told him that, by walking the streets, at night, in the rain, with a hoodie over his head was an invitation to have some one blame him for wrong-doing REGARDLESS of his innocence. In other words, I taught MY children that their actions (good, bad, or indifferent) have consequences. Too bad Trayvon Martin's parents didn't do the same. Too bad his parents -and those of so many black kids today- only tell the kids what THEY have a RIGHT to do instead of also teaching them how to respectfully and responsibly exercise their rights. We heard evidence of this over & over last night as black commentators stated how Martin was RIGHT to confront ZIMMERMAN and how they'd tell THEIR kids "stand THEIR ground" anytime somebody challenges their right to be somewhere or to do something. Yet these same people -you, too- deny that ZIMMERMAN had no such right!! Why?? Because Zimmerman "looks" white. Racial bias, pure and simple.

Anonymous said...

A white Hispanic and a white African-American are each half-white but in the eyes of depraved racists, the regressives in the "progressive" media and others whose political power is derived from sewing hatred and animus in American communities one is white while the other is black.

Skittles My Ass said...

5:50; Your 'whys' and 'why nots' and 'what ifs' are idiocy. None of that matters, as the verdict shows. Both had a right to be where they were regardless of your why-not questions. Both had a right to defend themselves once the confrontation escalated, regardless of your 'what if' notions.

'Stand Your Ground' does not grant you the right to attack someone who is legally following you, whether you like being followed or not. If Zimmerman were ILLEGALLY following him, the 'stand your ground' defense would not be applicable.

Race is irrelevant. Whether you and I disagree with Zimmerman following the boy is irrelevant. What's relevant is he had every right to.

There is no evidence of racial profiling, yet the race pimps are already on it.

OK Simpson's verdict was justice with law students cheering the verdict. Zimmerman's verdict was racism. We will never progress. Race will always divide us because the race baiters will never let go.

Anonymous said...

@7:27. First of all, its not absolutely clear that Martin didn't run away. "He ran and hid" are George Zimmermans words. Rachel Jeantel said that she was on the phone with the boy and that he was trying to get home. I think they both are embellishing the truth a bit. Why take Zimmermans words over Jeantels or vice versa. I don't think Zimmerman is racist, I don't think that he wanted to hunt him down and kill him. Zimmerman absolutely had the right to follow Martin, but Zimmerman was not the law. He was basically acting as a vigilante. Even if Martin burglarized a house, Zimmerman still doesn't have the right to be the police or act as a police. He should just call the cops and tell them he saw something suspicious. The cops would've investigated and found out that this was not a burglar/thug. From being in that situation dozens of times, Zimmerman probably said something to the effect of "look little punk, what are doing around here, Martin probably said none of your fu#@&^% business. It escalated into a fight and Martin pummeled him. Zimmerman shot the boy to stay alive. I believe Zimmerman had no choice because Trayvon was getting the best of him. You are right, Trayvon parents needed to teach him how to stay alive when confronted by someone with a pistol. I always said yes sir, no sir, thank you sir, yes you can search me sir, because I was never doing anything wrong and plus I was scared out of my mind. These kids today aren't scared of anything and thats why they die so often. I lived to see another day. I don't call it racism, its just the way it is.

Kingfish said...

Agreed. Totally went about it the wrong way. Pretty much know who everyone is on the street. See someone who isn't going anywhere in particular or doesn't belong, I'll just politely ask if they need any help. Usually they will say I'm looking for or going to so and so's house. I say cool, and then say sorry, just with crime we all watch out for each other, no offense meant, never had a problem, and they always say something like "don't blame ya" or "completely understand".

if I'd been Z, would've just stayed in the damn car until cops got there. There is the chance TM would've been armed and that is something the cops, not Z, are better suited for.

Anonymous said...

@6:06. You can be specific all you want, bottom line is OJ should've been guilty in criminal court, De La Beckwith should've been guilty the first time in criminal court. Ole Georgy should've been guilty of manslaughter the first time. He will get a civil verdict against him because -like OJ- he caused the death of the boy. By the way, I tell my wife and daughters shoot first and ask questions later if being FOLLOWED. You tell yours to go in Georgetown, Virden Addition, Washington Addition, Battlefield, Shady Oaks, The Queens, etc and see what happens when FOLLOWED. Then you say, my people want get caught in those neighborhoods. That's my point exactly, Trayvon should've known that being in a hoody in THAT neighborhood was dangerous. I would've told my son, don't go outside looking like that because someone will kill you.

Anonymous said...

"He will get a civil verdict against him because -like OJ- he caused the death of the boy."

The boy who was pounding his head into the concrete??? Self-defense is a legitimate defense in civil suits as well.....

Anonymous said...

@12:07, my wife has the right to pound a head in the concrete if someone follows her. Let say Someone gets out of the car and follows you in Georgetown or Queens, or Stokesburg as some on this site refers to it... he says you hid and pounded his head in the ground, he shoots you and kills, I promise its manslaughter every day of the week. It was just a fist fight that went bad. That's manslaughter.

bill said...

Your wife does not have the right to attack someone who she thinks is following her. She has the right to call 911, to try to get further away, to turn and confront, but there is no law that gives her the right to attack. If she wants to give it a shot and say she was in fear of her life, fine, but she'll go on trial just like Zimmerman did, and she might or might not prevail. It's so much easier to just keep on walking...

Anonymous said...

I'm dismayed at the ability of so many to so easily come to conclusions with such little information.

8:43, it is not manslaughter. If someone "jumps" you, you have every moral and legal right to use deadly force against that person unless you have psychic abilities and can pre-determine their intent.

Two guys get in an argument and square off in a prking lot (fist fight) is not the same as one individual being jumped by another, whether followed or not. He was suspicious to begin with, enough to call 911. Then gets jumped.

Anonymous said...

@9:50 You are right, he had the right to call 911 of a suspicious individual. Now hindsight showed that Zimmermans suspicions were wrong. But I probably would've profiled him too. So I give him a pass on that one, just next time don't get out of the car in the rain to see which house the "thug" is going in. Just report that a "thug" is in the complex. @9:44. If a white woman in eastover is being followed while jogging, and turns and kill a thug, do you think she gets off. we would probably say good for her, even if the thug had not done anything yet. She feared for her life, we would let her go. If trayvon had a gun and killed Zimmerman, do you think trayvon gets off. I remind you, Zimmerman was loaded.

bill said...

If the state can't prove its case any better than it did with Zimmerman, then Trayvon or the lady jogging through Eastover walk, just like Zimmerman did.

11:45 - de la Beckwith was never found not guilty....

In the infamous FBI "Ticking-Timebomb" case, Beckwith was found not guilty by a Federal jury, only to be re-tried by the State of Louisiana for the same "offense." That "offense" was taking an explosive device-- a "Timebomb"-- across state lines. After he was acquittal by the Federal jury, the powers-that-be in New Orleans worked with the FBI to try him in State court. The State of Louisiana only required that it be prove that explosives were found in his possession;it was not necessary to prove that he had knowledge of such. He was found guilty of transporting explosives. After completing a five-year prison sentence in the LA. State Prison at Angola, the Louisiana State Supreme Court vacated his conviction on the grounds that a jury of five negresses did not constiute a jury of his peers. According to FBI Special Agent Stringer in a deposition conducted by Judge Chet Dillard, FBI agents placed the explosive device in Beckwith's Plymouth Valiant as it sat parked in front of the Mayflower Cafe, prior to Beckwith's trip to New Orleans to sell family heirlooms to cover legal costs. Planting evidence and suborning witness testimony in courts are SOP for the FBI. Former Ohio Congressman James Traficant can attest to that fact, too.

Anyone with a child(of any race) would not have felt that verdict was justice. One major flaw in the case was equating the judgement and thinking of a child to that of an adult. As an adult, Zimmerman had a responsibility to avoid an incident at all cost. Gun owners are the ones that should be outraged because Zimmerman did not represent a responsible gun owner. Are we as a society really saying that this type of behavior is acceptable? If so, Zimmerman or anyone else could go to any inner-city street and find himself in a situation he could claim was self-defense everyday can kill someone everyday. I do not think "Stand Your Ground" laws intended to cover people walking through neighborhoods confronting people, especially teenagers because they have a built in self-defense card that allows them to kill. Back to the original point, no one with a child would feel it was self-defense if their child was killed in these exact circumstances.

He nailed the "rat pack" to the cross with the definitive explanation of the four minute time frame calculations beginning with GZ making the first 911 call until Martin ambushed him. I'm told that there is an post-trial interview with Zimmernman corroborating Hey's own speculative summary of the events that led to GZ defending himself.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
