The bums have set up shop over on Northview Drive. Check out the images below. Notice anything?
Still don't know?
The house is abandoned. No one has lived there for quite some time until some of the street people moved in recently. Since the home has no electricity, they have taken it upon themselves to scrounge arounge for wood and lit fires inside. It's only a matter of time.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.
That property is currently owned by Harmony Properties LLC. They own two properties on Northview which are vacant and an eyesore. The other property does not appear to have a house on the lot. These are the scumbags who are responsible for the homeless just taking advantage of a broken system.
Homeless people are the worst, just saying.
Sounds like disharmony. Not disagreeing with you at all.
I get your sentiment - but unfortunately the homeless problem does not have a single, or simple, solution. Lots of reasons people end up on and stay out on the street.
Last week the city council put a pause on new Homeless resources (shelters, showers, etc.) opening in Ward 5 because they have all mostly migrated down that way. Are they starting to realize that if you give the vagrants anything other than rehab or prison they will just continue to be happy and homeless? "Build it and they will come" rings true here. Makes me sick when I see people giving them money at intersections, knowing damn well they are taking advantage of people that feel like they are doing a good thing, but they are only perpetuating the cycle. Same thing with us giving trillions to Africa for food and water. If you give them free things to make their lives better in the short term, they will reproduce like crazy and continue the suffering for another generation. It is very simple and very sad to understand.
Oh well…
There are literally out of town and sadly, Mississippi-based landlords whose entire unspoken business model is holding high-risk properties and collecting insurance when they burn down.

"Lots of reasons people (are) on the street".
Part of the solution is to give them an incentive to be homeless somewhere else,
to choose Phoenix, Denver, or L.A. because Central MS is too unaccommodating. I liked the black hurricane fences under the I55 overpasses. Perhaps put them in city penal busses with expanded metal over the windows and transport them to tents on a Hinds or Rankin County prison farm, to sleep in tents and use a hoe to tend row crops.
All of the abandoned structures in the city need come down asap.
Libs call this squatting, but it's actually burglary.
I think they’re telling us they’ve elected a new Pope.
why any company would insure these abandoned ratholes is beyond me
@9:22
It’s very simple
Pass laws making it illegal.
Give them a path to work and housing.
If they refuse then imprison them on the worst, most inhuman conditions. Like un-air conditioned mosquito swamp prison in August. They were homeless to begin with. Patience is running out for this liberal bullshit.
10:17 - I'm far from liberal but also appear to be a little more realistic than you. Lets start with just a simple example. The percentage of people on the street who are mentally ill and need treatment (severe cases) is upwards of 25%. Your solution is simply to give these people a path to work and housing? If they refuse just throw them in prison. Yeah - that should work out great.
These properties are not insurable. Thad Brown seems to operate multiple entities like these. The neighborhood should contact the owner and offer to buy the lots
@10:17am ditto. The fatigue is real. The compassion does not work. The vagrants must be punished or they will keep being drug addicts and keep destroying. The time for being sweet is OVER. We cannot keep sacrificing our cities because we have to be "kind". I believe a few months ago KF posted a newspaper column from the Jackson and Vicksburg (?) mayors from the 1930s (a different world) saying vagrants will not be tolerated, there are plenty of cotton-picking jobs to be had in Hinds and Warren counties. We have to get back to that.
@10:56am yup. I'm not @10:17 but enough is enough. We promote what we tolerate and these animals are causing havoc in our cities. There are plenty of resources for them and they refuse because they are just fine with being high and well fed from the public. I say give them one chance then LOCK EM UP!! Make it known we will not tolerate this shit and then people won't go down that path in the future.
Speaking of the homeless, I wonder what percentage of the panhandlers on street corners have obtained the newly required permits?
Tolerating the dregs of society just leads to more social decay. Just look how far we have slid in public decorum and it is because we have spent so long tolerating ferals and savages and degenerates.
I can remember in the late 80s and early 90s going to Kmart or the old small Walmart in Pearl and people didn’t dress or act like slobs and retards in public at Walmart. Same for going to Metrocenter, Service merchandise, or Northpark. Everyone dressed in their best and acted their best. Black white asian whatever. Didn’t matter.
This post by KF feels like an MKULTRA-style subliminal message telling us to set homeless people on fire inside abandoned houses during the winter to solve the homeless problem in Jackson
That could just be the exhaust for their giant weed bong

AND Provide Heat!
We all just need to accept the fact that Jackson as a city, needs welfare just like the majority of the residents. But they also want to maintain their dignity. So you have to respectfully pay. Anything else is racist. Do yall really need to constantly remind them that they are completely incapable of maintaining civilization without help? They know. We know. Everyone knows. Let them keep some dignity please.
I refuse to give these people money at intersections because that is enabling them to keep doing that. I say, have a IRS agent watch them all day, approach them and take out the taxes from the money they collect for motorists. I would think a 55% tax would help the state on handout money.
