Well, well, well, it appears Jackson City Councilman Brian Grizzell, threw a little temper tantrum at the February 10 City Council meeting.
It is no secret Butt-hurt Brian was not happy when his brother, Lieutenant Vincent Grizzell was demoted from his Deputy Chief position recently. The Council meeting gave the Council President his first chance to strike back at the JPD Chief Tyree Jones and the administration of John Horhn.
Two agreements (MOU's) between JPD and the Capitol Police were included on the February 10 agenda.
The first MOU authorized the two agencies to work together in the Real-Time Crime Center. The agreement allows the Capitol Police to contribute up to five employees for staffing the Real-Time Crime Center. A JPD official will supervise the Real Time Crime Center. The Chiefs of both agencies or their representatives will comprise a Joint Oversight Board.
The second agreement allows the Capitol Police and JPD to cooperate on crime scene investigations.
Butt-Hurt Brian did not bring the two agreements up for discussion and a vote but instead referred them to the Public Safety & Parks Committee. Does anyone want to guess who heads that committee?
What other mischief will Mr. Grizzell cause for JPD? Stay tuned.

Pretty on brand for Jackson to put tribal identity over progress.
One of the rare occasions when it is not a black v white issue.
Is he for the woman police chief?
Crabs in a bucket.
On some occasions astute observers will discern that the reason given is actually an excuse rather than the reason.
Brian Grizzell is an unqualified and incompetent leader. If he focused on issues the same way he focused on people’s skin color he’d get a lot accomplished. Unfortunately he’s too petty and racist. He throws tantrums as easy and often as his racist buddy Otha bounces a bad check.
The new chieftess of police will fix everything, incoming equity and restorative justice.
The agenda, shown above, includes the Pledge of Allegiance. Kingfish has not remarked, lately, on who attends and participates in that agenda item.
Doomed. Only a matter of time before she sues the bold new city for discrimination. But which lawyer will she retain??
6:44 - if you're so concerned about it, why don't you go attend a city council meeting and see for yourself?
Some may recall that Grizell was elected to the city council due to substantial financial & political support from Lumumba so that the former mayor would always have a sure vote on the council. And look at all the damage Antar did to the police department. Can Grizell be far behind? Dumb & dumber.
Sadly, Shad really needs to investigate what Grizell does during his "day" job at JPD. Literally nothing. It is really bad. Like similar to Stacey Pickering never showing up to his office bad etc. He's just too "low level" right now to matter.
