Governor Tate Reeves issued the following statement.
Governor Tate Reeves today announced the appointment of Major General Bobby M. Ginn, Jr. as the Adjutant General of Mississippi, effective August 1, 2024. Major General Ginn replaces Major General Janson D. Boyles who is retiring.
“Throughout his entire military career, Major General Bobby Ginn has displayed nothing short of an impressive and unwavering dedication to our state, our military, and our nation,” said Governor Tate Reeves. “Major General Ginn has showcased a lifelong commitment to service, and I am incredibly thankful for his willingness to step into this new role. He has my complete confidence and I know that he will continue leading the Mississippi National Guard to its highest possible potential. I also want to thank Major General Janson Boyles for his incredible service to the state of Mississippi. Our National Guard is better, stronger, and more prepared thanks to his leadership.”
Major General Ginn began his military career in 1990 as an enlisted Soldier. In 1993, he was commissioned through the Mississippi National Guard’s Officer Candidate School and became a Supply Officer for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 114th Area Support Group. In 1994, he was assigned as a platoon leader, and in 1999, assumed command of the 367th Maintenance Company. Since then, he has had many assignments, including commander at Camp Shelby and most recently, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics.
Ginn earned a B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi and Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.

Great, a supply guy becomes Adjunct General…sheesh
8:59 just a historical reminder.....U. S. Grant was a supply guy during the Mexican/US War before the War between the States. Who became "General of all the US Armies" prior to becoming president. How did that turn out?
@8:59 clearly doesn't know shit about the intricacies of of dealing with logistics in the military. Our logistics officers are generally some of the smartest and high speed guys in the room, at least from my experience. They also have to deal with a ton of BS.
Congratulations, thank you for your service to our nation.
An Adjutant General is supposedly involved in day-to-day operations, including command. Not sure what an adjunct general is.
What is an adjunct in college?
Adjuncts vs Full-Time Professors at College
An adjunct instructor is a part-time faculty member who is hired on a contractual basis. They may teach for only a few semesters before they return to their industry full time. Per semester, they usually teach a few courses on introductory or general subjects.

Supply guy? The Chairborne Rangers that have to go to lunch but don’t have to come back.
Has zero to do with 'adjunct professor'. The title is Adjutant General.
