Check out what the presidents of M.I.T., Harvard, and Penn had to say when asked whether a student advocating genocide should be disciplined. Notice the smirks.
One can only imagine what they would do to a student who advocated genocide for other ethnic groups. The President of the University of Pennsylvania resigned today over her remarks as her Board was about to step in and fire her. A shame the other two haven't quit but it's quite obvious they have no shame.

I am so glad these 3 "morally superior" stooges did this. The emperor is naked.
This might get someone's attention.
The University of Pennsylvania (Penn) lost a major $100 million donation on Thursday amid the fallout from Penn President Liz Magill’s comments at a recent House hearing on campus antisemitism.
Smug and self-satisfied is never a good look.
Who are they afraid of offending? The DEI police? And why does equity and inclusion only seem to apply to "people of color"?
Um, yeah. Tuesday.
Penn’s President resigned several hours ago.
As always, language such as “stepping down”, “resigned from her role..”, etc etc will continue to be used to disguise the fact that persons caught red-handed will never lose tenure or suffer the loss of a single cent of salary or compensation. Just hide in a different department until it all blows over.
The woke/progressive Penn State president resigned today. AMF.
Last week Bill Ackman said Harvard president Claudine Gay was only appointed because of DEI: “I learned from someone with first person knowledge of the @Harvard president search that the committee would not consider a candidate who did not meet the DEI office's criteria. The same was likely true for other elite universities doing searches at the same time, creating an even more limited universe of DEI-eligible presidential candidates.”
Of course Claudine Gay is disgusting and the smart bet would be that Ackman is absolutely correct, but one must ask what would have been the case had someone with, let’s say an Irish last name, had stated that Claudine Gay was only appointed because of DEI???
The woke Penn State president resigned to be able to "spend more time with her family."
BS = We know what that means
MS = More of the same
PhD = Piled higher and deeper
This will get you granted tenure at The Univeristy of Mississippi, albeit no food involved.
So what would you expect. These presidential appointments are largely just political hacks who straddle the fence and keep the money rolling in. They do not have the freedom to commit the institution and their huge donors to any political position without explicit directions from university bigwigs. They were just caught with their pants down. They will simply be replaced with new mouthpieces who have revised position statements. No big deal.
I don’t see any smirking by anyone thinking the genocide of jews or advocacy of such is okay. What I see is people suppressing mirth at a congressclown asking a rigged question, “rigged” as in “whatever you say about jews, you’d better make it utterly and entirely laudatory and don’t you forget it ever or else your job, your career, your bank account, your friends, your everything will be destroyed before your eyes.”
American free speech has been turned on its head. Where it used to be freedom to speak one’s mind on matters political, a small coterie of people worked tirelessly and successfully to have its meaning changed to freedom to make pornographic material and say “fuck.” This is where we are now. Americans can stomach pornography and raunchy comedians; goring oxen, though, Americans are too broad-minded to allow that anymore.
But what do I know? I only come visit this blog for the total freedom of speech we have here.
I'm making a donation to Elise Stefanik's campaign tomorrow. Good job by the Congresswoman to hold their feet to the fire.
You dummies know that Penn is not Penn St right? And Penn St is a large football school that normal people go to. Penn is Ivy League, home of Wharton. Come on y’all.
I detest antisemitism but I'm also disturbed by the efforts to limit free speech at private entities as expressed by their students. The First Amendment applies to government restrictions on free speech. Can the government come after us if we express an opinion that child abusers should be executed? And no, I'm not equating child abusers with Jewish people. I'm just trying to see where the line is drawn between voicing one's opinion, albeit violent, and "free speech".
Just to clarify
This isn’t penn state!! This is a private Ivy League school. This is unreal that you don’t know the difference. Yesterday a guy in ridgeland tried to tell me that university of Miami was public. Are people really this dumb
The issue I have with what is happening at universities, and really everywhere, is that there is a belief that one side can say or do whatever, but the other side can’t. One side can cancel and boycott, but it wrong for the other side to do the same. Free speech should be that: free. But consequences, sure bring them. Don’t be afraid to say the free speech, unless you are willing to pay the consequences.
These presidents couldn’t acknowledge that what was happening on their campuses would have certainly been totally shut down and students forced to attend reeducation programs if they advocated for only biological females to compete in women’s sports.
And it was most assuredly the cockiness and condescension from the presumably academic intellectuals answering the questions that caused the outcry as much as what they substantively said.
Penn President resigned but transferred back to her tenured position in the Penn Law School teaching future lawyers her bent on left wing advocacy.
What happen to “ Freedom of Speech “ ? I guess it’s okay as long as you aren’t Offended ! Who is Woke now ?
Donor pulled $100 million gift to Penn State when this happened. I'm glad. Penn pres resigned (read got fired), issued an "apology". They can all kiss my ass. Sick SOBs.
"Yesterday a guy in ridgeland tried to tell me that university of Miami was public. Are people really this dumb"
No, just people in Ridgeland, the apartment capital of the state.
You'd be surprised at the responses if you did 'Man On The Street' interviews in Ridgeland. Be sure to include the new city hall.
Elise Stefanik just showed why the GOP is worthless, except for Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky.
@6:12am - Do you really think anyone on this blog has any idea there’s a difference? Much less where either or located. Just red meat being thrown to GOP go woke go broke cult.
They were put in a tough spot by a Trump cultist representative trying to make the news. Their policies have to be in compliance with the first amendment, you know, the one before the only other amendment, the 2nd. Lets look at it another way, had they had policies that broke up these “death to Israel and the Jews” rallies and expelled students and anyone else participating from the school/campus, how many of the “freedom” idiots would be suing to protect their free speech? I know some would, but probably not all since it was brown people talking about killing white people, so that’s not ok. There’s a clause in the 1st amendment that lets certain groups be selective about speech.
Hypocrites everywhere.
Murka has free speech. It's just that some speech is more free than other speech.
Expressions that call for extermination of Jews or of Israelis, as even normal 3rd graders should understand, is not Free Speech. Phrases like "From the River to the Sea" are widely understood chants meaning extermination of Jews. Many of these same hate merchants also deny the atrocities of the Holocaust, 9/11 and 10/7.
1:31 is laughable. See first comment above. YOU are morally bankrupt.
It just shouldn't be that damn hard to take a stand that calling for genocide is bad. Would it violate a policy against harassment? Who knows. That would be for a disciplinary committee to decide.
But damn, at least go on record and say that calling for genocide is unacceptable in a civilized society, at the risk of alienating some fanatical kook with a checkbook.
It's all just a show. The Congresswoman is making a show as a politician for votes. The university presidents are saying what they have to say to follow the law. They could have done a better job explaining their point, which was presumably the speech has to be directed at someone in particular to be considered a violation of the policy.
all 3 are Woke supporters
@4:24pm - I must’ve missed the morality amendment in the constitution. What’s moral and what’s legal aren’t always the same. Read a book or two.
@9:33am explains the situation well.
@9:35 shows up with the predictable “woke” comment with nothing else to offer.
It's called "political theater" and those presidents stepped right into it. Students at a university make all kinds of controversial and sometimes stupid statements. That's what a university is all about. Learning and exchange of ideas. Even bad ideas. Holding the university liable for the statements of students who are not employees is damn questionable. The presidents did not articulate that policy like they should have. The congresswoman set an old fashioned trap and they fell in.
@10:37am - Yep. If anything they should be fired for not being prepared to properly answer and rebut the Trump stooge.
If students attack a group, based on their religion, that is a problem. If these universities can't seem to grasp that, then they are approving this problem. Fire them all. When the teachers decide to join in and attack students based on their religion, fire them too.
@8:26am - I’m glad you agree with what the three university presidents were saying, that if conduct (attacks) occur, then obviously there would be consequences.
@8:51 pm - that is NOT what the university presidents said. Please plug in to a video and listen to them for yourself.
@9:22am - I guess we were listening to two different congressional hearings because that’s exactly what they were saying. Unless you don’t understand words.
