Watch our man Steve bring these shoes back to life. The Allen Edmonds Maxfields should have been trashed. However, they were a gift to an attorney from his father when he started law school so he wanted to keep them for obvious reasons. He sent them to the world champ cobbler at Bedo's Leatherworks in Falls Church, Virginny for a miracle and it was a miracle he received. Check out the work.
Mr. Smith (alias) was rather happy when Steve Doudaklian posted the job on his Youtube channel. Well, he was happy until the cobbler told him he was posting the video because the shoes were that bad. Needless to say, it was pretty good work.

Enjoyed watching a master craftsman in action, KF.
One word "artist".
-Speak, what trade art thou?
-Why, sir, a carpenter
-Where is thy leather apron and thy rule?
What dost thou with thy best apparel on?—
You, sir, what trade are you?
-Truly, sir, in respect of a fine workman,
I am but, as you would say, a cobbler.
How much $$. Looks like he basically built a new pair of shoes!
While I am not a fancy-shoe dandy, watching any leather workers, including cobblers, is therapeutic.
Men's dress shoes such as these give me blisters from hell. I don't know how anyone finds them comfortable.
Fascinating and Brandon has a place that does repair also Sol & heels or something. Amazing work ‘ beautiful
I managed to fast forward five times, finally got to the uneventful end and got to watch some really weird baseball plays. I think Dick Morris is better suited for Kingfish's obvious foot/shoe fetish that we've witnessed over the years.
I agree with 4:38
Delwin at Soles and Heels in Brandon is a craftsman. Send him your business.
It was an expensive rebuild. Probably cost as much as a new pair. Sentimental reasons.
Enjoyed much.
Getting the master to do this work was a ....shoo in.
Ah A Edmonds. The shoes of upper middle class peasants.
Jackson Jambalaya… come for the muckracking, stay for the Cobbler ASMR videos!
When I graduated from high school in 1978, my grandparents gave me a pair of Allen Edmonds Oxford (Black). I still wear them today and of course, they have been re-soled. I plan to send them to Allen Edmonds for a re-build after looking at their website. Yep, my grandfather was right in saying...."you will never stop wearing them"
Pornhub.com has thousands of photos for those with a shoe fetish.
I wonder if he could do that with an old pair of Jordans, because I have a few pair that could use the makeovers
Or just take them to Delwyn in Brandon, if you insist on wearing such prissy things.
A man should be ashamed to allow his shoes to reach such a point. Did he wear them at the beach? In the snow?
Soles & Heels, 4:38. Where the magic happens. I have no financial interest, just appreciate their work.
Six months ago, I spent $350 to have this guy recondition a 35 year old pair of Justin boots. It was worth the money because they were and are so comfortable. Think I got his name from a Wall Street Journal or Washington Post article.
