The city of Jackson issued the following statement.
Earlier this week, we had a pump motor failure at the Highway 18 well. This continues to affect the Highway 18 tanks which has led to low water pressure in the area.
The City was able to work with the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and Mississippi State Department of Health to purchase a new pump motor. The motor is currently en route to Jackson and will hopefully be installed tonight.
Please bear in mind that crews could run into complications during the installation that delay the restoration of water pressure. They will work until the issue is fully resolved.

Remain calm….all is well.
And in the meantime, we have no water pressure….again……
I feel much better now that I know the “Ms. dept. of health “ is involved.
Why isn't Antar fixing this?
Well! Well! Again!!!
Now we know why the poster yesterday said he had no water pressure!!!
Sounds like the Governor Bought another part for the Mayor to claim credit for using in his failed water system.
Mayor Lumbumbo (SP? This doesn't look right, but I can't seem to remember how to spell his name, but you guys know wo I am talking about) must be nice to have a Sugar Daddy
Why does COJ need MEMA's and the Dept of Health's help to order a replacement motor?
You call the manufacturer, or Grainger even, read the info on the pump tag, say "I need a nw motor" and they order it. It's that simple.
@10:14pm
Experienced staff-technician who recognize the malfunctioning part and can remove and replace it after ordering with an account that is not in arrears exceed current city skill set and credit reputation for maintenance.
@ 7:31….you meant to say….the citizens are screwed…just go ahead and say it because 99.9999 % of us already know it. But when your only concern in your “life” is to be a “hero” for the downtrodden and so called race that claims to be disadvantaged then if you go against that grain, you lose your credibility. But, we know our GOVERNOR has already made it emphatically clear that the “I “ word was used.
Now let’s see how that 52 Million gallon raw sewage perfectly placed into the Pearl will pan out. Because from my end, if the Gold Coast Commodities has to face the music then Chockwe does. Unless it’s a racial thingy
