Clinton police are investigating the death of a baby that died this morning at a hotel.
CPD received a complaint of child neglect for a mother of nine children. Police found the family living in very poor living conditions. CPD notified Child Protective Services. CPS took the children into custody.
However, CPD recently returned some of the children to the mother, including the baby. The infant was only two months old. No one has yet been charged.
More information will be posted when available.

The baby daddies should be forced to pay for raising every one of these children.
1-child support starts at conception
2-so CPD took the kids away but Child Protection told the police to give them
back? how is that protection?
3- forced sterilization isn’t the worst idea for birthers who have had kids taken away. no need for them to propagate if they can’t use birth control. or don’t know how it works
9?
What kind of subsidies and handouts does a single mother of 9 get from the government? Is there a point where they take the children (and associated entitlements) away? What process ensures that they use the money for that which it was intended? Visits from Social Workers?
Nine spawn but I bet that she has lots of bling, tats, smokes, the latest iPhone, and likely some weed, right? Can't keep a sister down by giving her a flip-phone, right?
Take a look at the birth certificates of the kids and see who is the baby daddy. Find that person and make him raise his own kids. If there is not a father on the birth certificate deny all governments to child until mother gives a name.
The amount of TANF(Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) benefits is based on family size, income and resources. $200 for the 1st child; $36 for the 2nd; $24 for each additional child. These amounts can be modified based on household income and other resources. Benefits are to be limited for a specified time period unless there is a "hardship" as determined by MDHS guidelines. Qualifying families also benefit from other resources, e.g. Medicaid, food stamp benefits, child care subsidies, housing assistance.
