A JSU basketball player threw quite the little tantrum during Sunday's game against Southern University.
The team's leading scorer, Tristan Jarrett, got mad at his teammate, Jayveous McKinnis, the second leading scorer, near the end of the game.
The little spat led to Jarrett pitching a fit, throwing away his jersey, and storming off the court. It is not known if he huffed and he puffed.

That inability to control emotions is the catalyst to many of the murders in Jackson.
This is news because a kid at MSU and Ole Miss never threw a tantrum???
Great opportunity for that coach to teach a life lesson to every member of that team (and to those in the JSU community who are paying attention). Bench the young man for a week (as well as any other players that were involved), and make him/them earn their jerseys back by admitting that their behavior was unacceptable and detrimental to the team and by demonstrating that they will respect the game, the team, the coach, and the university. If not, the coach will lose the respect of his players and likely lose control of the team. Good luck Coach!
That's not the behavior of a kid that a coach would want on the floor (I don't care whether he's the leading scorer or not). And it creates a terrible example for the University.
You never know what is cooking in someone else's pot....Suspend the little jackass for a few games. Everyone thinks they are Lebron....
Did you throw a tantrum when I called you a bitch ass nigga? I'm sure you did because that is what you are.
The coach appears to be standing to the side and uninvolved even after the
young man walked off the Court. Over the years I have not heard any JSU fans express any confidence in this coach. I see why.
I won't attempt to relate this in any way to Jackson crime, but, we all know this is an outgrowth from the absolute decline and departure from the days when coaches were in control and team members had a vision of 'team' rather than 'self'.
Think of your favorite coach (from forty years ago), male, female, black, white, other, any sport...and whether today's crap would even have been a possibility.
I wont relate it to Jackson crime but I witnessed an almost exact incident on a high school court during a game. When the coach disciplined the player, the players parents pulled him out of the school and sent him to a public school. Kid then went to ole miss to play football and was busted to for selling steroids and kicked out of school. Kid ended up doing hard time in Illinois Department of Corrections for selling controlled substances and several other felonies.
If that young man plays in the next game, it's the coach who should be finding the door. JSU alum.
I see the problem here. There are no comfort dogs on the floor.
Time for Coach Prime to step in and help his new school or get Snacks to settle him down.
Dang, he walks out of class when the instructor asks him a question!
Imagine Bear Bryant of Tony Dungy putting up with that bull-shit!
9:50: Why thank you, Melvin.
