Disgusting!

Mississippi women suffered more domestic violence from the powerful and the privileged this week.  George County deputies arrested a State Representative for beating his wife. The Biloxi Sun-Herald reported:

State Rep. Douglas McLeod was arrested after he allegedly punched his wife when she failed to get undressed quickly enough when he wanted to have sex, according to an investigative report filed with the George County Sheriff’s Department.

The 58-year-old Republican lawmaker was intoxicated and holding a glass of alcohol in his hand when deputies responded to the McLeod home shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, the report said. Rest of article.
Kingfish note: A real he-man. Thug went out like a real redneck.  Meanwhile up in Oxford,  the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation issued the following statement:

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) confirmed today that Matthew Paul Kinne, 38, an officer with the Oxford Police Department, was arrested for Murder as a result of the death of Dominque Clayton. Kinne is being held in the Panola County Jail pending his court appearance.

MBI initially received the call from Oxford Police Department to assist in the investigation on Sunday afternoon when they learned of the possible relationship between Kinne and the victim. MBI, CSU, and special agents arrived on scene and began a thorough independent investigation that resulted in Kinne being arrested last night. MBI will continue to work all leads on the case and provide all facts and findings to the District Attorney’s office for review at the completion of the investigation.

Commissioner Fisher stated, “MBI is working this homicide with the same due diligence and fact finding determination as they do in each and every case.”

Meanwhile, the Alston case still has not gone to trial.

"holding a glass of alcohol "............must have been drinking EVER-CLEAR. talk about a bad hangover................

There should be mandatory steroid testing for any LEO arrested for violent acts.

Hell, there should be random roid testing at all LEO levels, starting with DPS down to Rez Patrol.

Poor Doug. It wasn't even 8 pm on a Saturday night.

Had to get up early for church on Sunday.

What point is being attempted by the 'whore house up in Oxford' remark?

If the police report about the legislator is accurate, this guy has some really deep issues going on. If he skates, this state has some really deep issues going on.

10:33 - Are steroids illegal? If not, what would be the point of your suggestion?

But we have to "Back the Badge" - their lives are more important.

They kill one of us paupers in our state, it's o.k.

But kill one of them, hold the presses!?

And the DA's office will do a fine job -- just as they did with the OPD "hero"turned drug court officer who extorted sexual favors from a couple of dope heads (no pun intended) in exchange for not violating them. He was allowed to plead in Benton County to an expungable felony (failure to keep track of emissions?). No sex registration for the finest.

As for the DA, here's a former ADA from the 3rd District pleased as punch to be on the sex offender page: http://state.sor.dps.ms.gov/OffenderDetails.aspx?Display=Main&Id=377279

Rotten to its very core.

See Jessica Chambers killer would of be behind bars if Sheriff Darby had gotten his ego out of the way and let MBI work that case. Nope, not him, he and his A-Team screwed that up so bad it’s never going to end

Anonymous said...

@ 6:22 plainly you have never seen John Champion screw up a case in court.

Anonymous said...

The Oxford police let Chad Kelly go from at least 10 crimes while he was in Oxford. All so that he could keep playing. So I didn't realize they arrested criminals anymore.

Anonymous said...

How the heck do you think Ole Miss kept enough football players to field a team with some of the window jumpers, square fighters, etc. they had on some recent teams? Dirty DA and OPD kept them out of the jail.

Wonder why the States with the highest incidence of domestic violence are predominantly Red ?

Mississippi was in the top 5 until the Attorney General initiative several years ago. The shelters are working.

@7:49, and that does not happen in Starkville?

It's almost as if the power structures of the Deep South don't favor women and live to serve white, Southern Baptist men.

Per the FB, the oxford guy shot the woman in the back of the head and her son found her dead. Also, the guy is married as of 2016 and has a few kids.

Punching your wife is bad, but killing someone is an entirely different matter.

This isn't a MS thing, its just people doing bad things. The same way they have been doing them since Adam and Eve got this whole thing started.

@ 6:08 - what DA? Your link doesn't go to an individual's record.

Step down and go straight to jail said...

What a POS (Rep. McLeod). I read he has had 3 DUIs already, how is he still representing the people of his district? He has a problem and needs to go to rehab or sober up for a long time behind bars clearly. Praying for his poor wife and family.

to 7:49 and all others who posted comments like his. ahhhhhhhhh .........the eternal sophomores of mississippi, who believe that everything that takes place in the third world soybean republic of mississippi is directly related to soap opera world of college football. god must love those types cause he makes so many of them. i see them all the time, mostly hiding their 90,000$ extended cab pickups from the repo man, filing bankruptcy to stop the foreclosure on their house, gitting their kid out of the youth court detention center, and getting married and divorced every 3 years. they just cant strap on the fact that the real world is not a college campus.

Anonymous said...

McLeod is unopposed. I'm sure he preaches family values as part of his campaign. Probably has lots of prayers at rallies...

Those people are just as blind to the problem as the typical Jackson Democrat.

Anonymous said...

as a result of Mcleods stunt, maybe his buddies at the legislature can create a new administrative agency call the department of domestic abuse prevention and staff it with political appointees at 6 figure , full benefit jobs. hey, haven't you heard? more government is the answer to all problems. all brought to you by the mississippi republican party.........the party of "limited government".

He would not touch my sister or mother in that manner, street justice!

When people are so dishonest as to import asinine "family values" slurs into an article that has nothing to do with the subject it only serves to validate those advancing family values.

When people have no argument then the name-calling and lies accelerate.

Oxford police department has problems, as do other PDs. But, letting football players go scot-free is not one of them. OPD will arrest a student, athlete or not, in a New York minute.

Anonymous said...

Yall just write their numbers down and we will pick them up at practice....

Anonymous said...

I wonder if McLeod is pro-life?

Anonymous said...

It’s funny how the true Thug pieces of shit never get called by name on this site? I wonder why?

@9:33

Sorry David Robinson, served under now chancery judge Larry Little.

They are both finer more decent people than the current corrupt DA Ben Creekmore -- rotten to the core. There are wore things than collecting child porn. Not much worse but Ben makes the cut

"Wonder why the States with the highest incidence of domestic violence are predominantly Red ?"

You mean the same states that also have the highest black populations as a percentage of total populations?

See how you can have fun with statistical games? Can go both ways.

Yes, steroids are illegal without a ‘valid’ prescription.

It’s too bad the GOP isn’t pro life when it comes to their wives and mistresses. I guess the Bible doesn’t cover beating the shit out of your loved ones. Too bad!

To Unknown at 6:22 - MBI couldn't investigate its way out of a paper bag, and they most certainly have no business investigating complex crimes like the Chambers murder. MBI are just a bunch of glorified troopers, who are just glorified ticket-writing meter maids. The skill and professional level of law enforcement in Mississippi is a joke.

Anonymous said...

Too bad the GOP wives aren't pro 2nd amendment. We could have a whole new state legislature if we could teach these women to protect themselves and take out these extremist alt right Christian terrorist thugs.

Mississippi to Alabama: Hold my beer!

This is exactly the kind of thing that will get the attention of the "Grab em by the pussy" Republican leadership. Way to represent the great state of Mississippi Doug McLeod. We all appreciate you putting in the long hours to work your way to the very top.

To the poster re: Chad Kelly. So OPD covered up 10 crimes committed by Swag?

You're not Steve Robertson, the prolific writer, are you?

@ 6:49 - You may want to read further:

"A variety of non-steroid drugs are commonly found within the illicit anabolic steroid market. These substances are primarily used for one or more of the following reasons: 1) to serve as an alternative to anabolic steroids; 2) to alleviate short-term adverse effects associated with anabolic steroid use; or 3) to mask anabolic steroid use. Examples of drugs serving as alternatives to anabolic steroids include clenbuterol, human growth hormone, insulin, insulin-like growth factor, and gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB). Examples of drugs used to treat the short-term adverse effects of anabolic steroid abuse are erythropoietin, human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), and tamoxifen. Also, diuretics and uricosuric agents may be used to mask steroid use.

Over the last few years, a number of metabolic precursors to either testosterone or nandrolone have been marketed as dietary supplements in the U.S. These dietary supplements can be purchased in health food stores without a prescription. Some of these substances include androstenedione, androstenediol, norandrostenedione, norandrostenediol, and dehydroepiandtrosterone (DHEA), which can be converted into testosterone or a similar compound in the body."

Anonymous said...

at least they put the cop in jail from oxford, but he'll probably get out too.

Anonymous said...

6:54 this citation was in reference to the question asking if ‘steroids’ were illegal, which they are. It was not intended to debate the fact that persons with aspirations of small testicles will on occasion find non-steroid alternatives to achieve their anabolic goals.

Rod Knox said...

But Kingfish, the most significant positive correlation in the situation is that as the minority population of states increases the shade of RED darkens.

Rod Knox said...

Maybe the sexually frustrated representative has aspirations for the White House. Just getting on the GOP ticket seems to result in a "pass" on issues of carnal knowledge.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
