WTF? Here to corroborate something??

Can he have visitors? I am sure there are a few people who would like to have a sit down with him.

Anonymous said...

i'm so confused. what did he do this time?

Anonymous said...

what happened?

Anonymous said...

Preparing to interview with a squadron of federal and state investigators. Trees are falling! Do we know which other participants have flipped? Who is being suspiciously left out of pleadings?

Anonymous said...

I need popcorn. MORE POPCORN...!!!!!

Anonymous said...

no sunglasses?

Anonymous said...

223. Obviously your information is wrong - there were no trees to fall. Must be something else happening.

Pinnacle about to be renamed Nadir.

Bet.

The chickens are coming home to roost Bobby Bousche!!

Is McHenry in Key Largo, Cuba or Austria?

Anonymous said...

Almost certainly to testify to grand jury.

Anonymous said...

Oh Lawd, they after Archee!

Anonymous said...

Well hotty friggin’ toddy.

I thought the meeting was in the conference room at BankPlus?

Movie rights to this would be worth a lot, but I heard that BS and PD already sold them to their top tier clients. Only catch was that they couldn’t record the video. Only live plays could be performed.

He is in Madison to complete his last mission....he has to eat 50 hard boiled eggs and then rat on all the ole miss stooges who gave him a hundred million dollars of daddy’s money

Pod Boss in the making.

The Ole Miss angle in these threads is funny, but not how the humor is intended.

Anonymous said...

I had forgotten Lamar went to Ole Miss. When did he graduate?

I imagine the Tucker Travel Lodge is quite a bit different from the accommodations at the federal low/minimum security lockup in Forest City, AR.

He's coming to chip away at his sentence. It wasn't his idea....

Thank god that KF covers this. Mississippi is almost void of good old fashioned reporting. This matter needs to be fully covered. People need to be made aware of scams like this. This would make a great hbo documentary. The good old boys and country club frat boy types would be entertainment gold. The law firms add that disgusting sinister villain aspect. I feel terrible for the gullible that got scammed but they should speak up so it does not happen to others. The financial trail and the digital communications should be telling. The law firm time sheets and billing should be damning. The low level people involved will bust them. No paralegal or notary is going to risk jail for these firms. We owe JJ thanks for keeping the sunlight on this.

The popcorn, more popcorn comments on here are my favorite. The Cool Hand Luke reference is classic. Love me some KF blog comment section! Just curious, does anyone think SP or TK or any of the attorneys will be charged criminally? I see civil suits but no criminal. Any attorneys on here can ESP-lain?

Anonymous said...

I agree that KF/JJ deserves a "thank you." I did so with a donation. It was small, but he didn't seem to mind.

Anonymous said...

to 9:36pm...yes KF does a great job of reporting. he is the only journalist in the history of mississippi journalism who is not afraid of the two-bit politicos that run this soybean republic. however the assertion you make about how "this would make a great hbo documentary"....dont flatter yourself mr mississippi. this train wreak only proves how many dumbasses and eternal college sophomores exit in this third world backwater where the beautiful people of the south eastern conference all think they are so important.

Lots of inside baseball commentary and jokes.

Not to mention hotty toddy hatred and country club envy.

It's even worse than the good old days!

Interesting how the local media is in fact blacking out the reporting of anything to do with this case. It would be interesting if Ms. Mills connected the dots to see if and how many individuals were connected/affiliated with OM....it might be plain to see just how much it was an OM insider's game all along....and all the way to Roger Wicker.

Anonymous said...

Well a certain news channel is affiliated with Bank Plus

StarRider said...

Man it says a lot about how dumb some people are, including a certain elected official, to fall for this crap. If it sounds too good to be true...

Anonymous said...

Is the Partridge woman still at Bancpuss??

Kingfish said...

He is probably testifying before the grand jury. Investigators could meet with him the prison.

Anonymous said...

Roger Wicker is either 1) as dumb as a bag of hammers or 2) complicit and greedy for getting involved in this. Or maybe a little both. HELLS BELLS. Anyone who got sucked in this falls into one or the other.

Anonymous said...

No better place to post this, and who knows, it might turn out to have a tangential connection to the Adams scam:

Michael Avenatti apparently found his way to People's Bank via Mark Calvert, who as the trustee attempting to recover on another big local Ponzi scheme, the Darren Berg/Meridian scam in Seattle, hired Avenatti to go after the auditing firm alleged to have failed to uncover the scheme.

Anonymous said...

I can assure you that Wicker is not smart. I have been in a meeting with him and his only response was interesting.
I do like the Cool Hand Luke stuff.
When will we see another photo of "the man with no eyes"? This whole story is just a failure to communicate!

Anonymous said...

A picture is worth a thousand words.

When I look into those cold eyes I see a man that is pissed off at having to eat bologna sandwiches instead of Tico’s.

Anonymous said...

Why is it either/or?

I love Tico's and I also love bologna sammiches

Anonymous said...

Fried bologna sandwiches with mustard...mmmm gooood

Anonymous said...

Do you have to be dumb to trust your friends?

Anonymous said...

2 fried bologna with cheese, mayo & lettuce on fresh bunny white bread

Anonymous said...

Ain't nothing better than a bologna sandwich and a bullfrog at the turn during the Clarksdale Six Man.

Anonymous said...

@12:32 "Trust, but verify." Made famous by President Ronald Reagan. So..uh, yeah. You do.

Anonymous said...

I feel a little bit sorry for the man. He was just "making his way the only way he knew how but that was just a little bit more than the law would allow"
Just some good ole boys never meaning no harm beats all you ever saw been in trouble with the law since the day they was born

Anonymous said...

@2:15, Reagan was referring to an enemy, not a friend.

Now we know why he always wore sunglasses....looked at the crazy eyed shyster!

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
