We Got Us a Tough Guy

One of the professors at Ole Miss urged people to harass Senators in restaurants.  Campus Reform managed to snag the tweet before he hid behind "protected" status on Twitter.

He is a Missouri grad.  Wonder if he needs some "muscle" .

He kind of reminds me of this scene.

Hell, put him the football team. Looks like a natural born LANDSHARK!

Anonymous said...

Place him on unpaid leave or better yet, terminate him. Not the type we want teaching our young people.

Anonymous said...

A punk like this POS always encourages someone else do the crazy stuff. That tells me, he is punk!

Anonymous said...

Well, isn't he special!

Anonymous said...

perfect material for the ole miss honors college

Anonymous said...

That "school" has some serious problems.....top to bottom. Anybody notice how the ridiculous "landshark" (??) is nowhere to be seen during televised games? It's an embarrassment.

Anonymous said...

Appropriate that he encourages a typical democrat practice, taking someone’s property and giving it to others who didn’t earn it.

Anonymous said...

If I see you harassing (i.e., not legally protesting) any elected official R or D, please be aware that I will physically defend the government official until the police show up to determine your identity if they can.

Anonymous said...

Just watch Ole Miss won't do a damn thing about this. If they were to fire him they would be called racist and it might affect football recruiting. Checkmate Rebs !

Anonymous said...

Haha, 6:13, I don't support this guy, but you'd probably have a very difficult time being admitted to the Ole Miss Honors College.

Anonymous said...

I see more declining enrollments in Ole Miss' future.

Messick said...

Name? Department?

Anonymous said...

Wonder how this internet tough guy will respond when people do the exact same thing to him. What an idiot. Post photos of the guy.

Anonymous said...

Very simple. Fire him immediately with no severance. He hurts the school and it's reputation.

6:50p, I graduated from the honors college with the highest honors. now I’m in law school and can’t wait to throw a frivolous lawsuit your way

I love it. Stick your hand in their dinner and take their leftovers home; but leave my Twitter account alone. Don’t @ me.

Rename the "Meek Building " named after this man. We have already found a way to completely taint and ruin the name of a man who gave a lot of money to the school. Apparently, We (Ole Mss) do not think he has any more money to contribute. I guess naming this academic program after "Arthur lamar adams" may be a stretch.

822, your 'bragging' about graduating from the Lands hark Honors College and now being in law school speaks volumes with your frank statement of looking forward to 'filing a frivolous lawsuit'. Tells us all what kinds of lawyers and their mentality the Dickie Scruggs institution continues to litter our state with.

So, 8:22, your contradictory posts don't make much sense then. Are you not proud of your roots? If not, that's quite unfortunate and a bit sad. Bear in mind, not all OM Honors College students are dems.

Anonymous said...

@6:32 Nah, you'd slink away to the nearest exit, post haste--a failure even as a boot licker. Speaking of tough guys....

Baby shark duh duh dah dah duh duh. I bet this mf’er wouldn’t stick his finger in my food...what does does Bernie Mack say “I wish a mf’er would!”

Sounds like he is encouraging what amounts to criminal behavior I say fire that embarrassment immediately.

Anonymous said...

Listen I hate keyboard tough guys and granted I don’t know how big a boy he is but if he is the scrawny little bitch I bet he is I would whip his ass right in the middle of city grocery for doing that to my food.

Anonymous said...

If someone poked a finger in my food my steak knife would remove the offending digit. Than the digitless Democrat could take the finger food home in a box to enjoy.

Hey 6:13, ask your Civ Pro professor about Rule 11. While you're at it, ask him/her about Section 11-55-5.

Anonymous said...

I knew the instant I read this story this punk cannot be from Mississippi originally. And I was right. You just go right ahead and try it at my table. You can meet my Glock. Or my husband's Ruger. This is getting ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

This is not California, Portland Oregon, etc., etc., etc. In Mississippi we have the right to defend ourselves; which burns a Mob Rule Leftist Totalitarian's (like this professor's) ass.

Now we know why. For those who have wondered why Leftist are always talking about "common sense gun laws" (for us law abiding citizens) while they continue their revolving door catch and release policies for their criminal thug constituents, one only needs to keep watching the actions of shit eaters like this professor. Civility, law and order means nothing to them and the laws they want so badly are designed to take away our right to defend ourselves from their Mobs.

Leftist are like Chiwawa's, born pissed off and yacking so it is likely that shit eaters like this professor will end up taking their incivility too far. We however need to remain civil by playing defense…and being prepared.

All this tough talk inspired, no doubt, by our " Badass in Chief" who forgets his rudeness when attacking others.

Like all the tough talkers it never occurred to him if he called a porn star that he paid off " Horseface", she'd call him " Tiny".

I can hear women marching and shouting " Tiny, Tiny, Tiny!"

Moral: You reap what you sow.

Anonymous said...

6:55, I agree. I don’t remember any talk like this prior to the Cheetoh in Charge taking offfice. I’m constantly surprised at the failure of republicans to challenge even the most inflammatory and ignorant crap that spews out of that loser. Also, an FYI to the majority of posters here. If you kill someone for touching your food, you will be tried for murder. If you chop off their fingers, you will be tried for assault.

Anonymous said...

6:55 Only a "Progressive" could turn this into an anti-Trump rant. I voted against in Nov. 2016, but I'll admit he is doing a fabulous job. Nut jobs like 6:05 will never concede to Trump know matter the how well he does.

Anonymous said...

that’s nothing compared to President Trump.

Anonymous said...

This might be the guy. Compare his twitter photo to the one in his bio.

So has the OM elite leadership offered him a raise, yet? Tenure if he doesn't have it? A leadership award? Promotions? Cause if they don't come out against his endorsement of criminal behavior, then they support it as an institution, right? Isn't that how the liberal logic works?

Oh, Virginmaryonadonkey, please no...it's the Donald...he'll whip it out in press conferences to prove it isn't "tiny" and I do not think even his staunchest supporter wants to see THAT. Plus, she already and very unfortunately "sized him up" (true or not) and even that was waaaay too much information. Besides, support him or not, there really can be no dispute that when sizing up pricks, Donald Trump is at a minimum on the high side of "average" before he loosens his belt.

And on a serious note, have we as a society really fallen so far that college professors advocating physical attacks against elected officials in general is even debatable as acceptable behavior? This isn't about GOP or Dem, liberal or conservative, and/or right or left, it is about right and wrong, decent and indecent, and acceptable and unacceptable.

Here's a suggestion: if you see an elected official with whom you disagree out in public, go over and say to them, "[Senator Foghorn], I/we disagree with your stance on [whatever]. I/we would like a reasonable opportunity to discuss this issue with you. Would you be willing to discuss it now or will you commit to giving me/us 30 minutes to an hour in the next week or so to discuss it?" Now I know the fringe on either side will say, "THAT WILL NEVER WORK!" But the vast middle knows that sticking fingers in someone's meal not only will NEVER work to effect change, they know it is just plain wrong. However, if an issue is presented politely but squarely to that elected official and they refuse to even hear opposition, that same vast middle at least on some level now begins to wonder why they refused a reasonable request. Remember, the goal should be to get people thinking, not reacting.

6:55 just can't stay with the story. Another angry Clinton supporter who gets his panties knotted up and feels an urge to piss his trousers and lambast his president at the same time. What will we do with these angry pissants when they reach true adulthood?

Anonymous said...

Vitter should be fired if this punk is not.

Anonymous said...

9:19 - "What will we do with these angry pissants when they reach true adulthood?" Hate to tell you this, but they are as mature as they are every going to get........sigh

sigh....yet another reason I am happy that none of my 3 children followed my footsteps to oxford. I never thought i would wear maroon, but.....

Time for Ole Miss to decide who they are going to be. Serious.

Anonymous said...

Good thing this professor is not a high school band director..He'd be gone by now.

This is the kind of guy whose resume rose to the top of the stack on the desk of Khayat and Jones. And, apparently, Vitter.

His name is James M. Thomas and he's an assistant professor of sociology.

In his biography, he says, "My dissertation research focused on the role of stand-up comedy venues in the production of contentious politics. I conducted ethnographic fieldwork at three different sites where stand-up comedy took place: a professional comedy club, a self-described punk/rock/horror/sci-fi bar that hosted a weekly amateur comedy show, and a popular drag revue at an LGBT nightclub." That's some serious scholarship right there. /sarc

Here is link to his public page on the Ole Miss website, including the requisite hand on chin scholarly pose:

I can’t believe that a Mississippi public funded university will put up with this socialist democrat crap. Maybe the legislature needs to look at some serious defunding. Maybe the decent people of this State need to demand it!

Anonymous said...

Interesting. The professor suggested "Don't just interrupt a Senator's meal..........." Didn't he mean to suggest that people shouldn't just interrupt a REPUBLICAN Senator's meal? Certainly, he's not suggesting that Democrats should also be excoriated, is he?

Anonymous said...

Just like you have a right to carry a gun, this guy has a right to speak his mind.
Also if you come in my restaurant with one I wouldn't order the soup or the salad or water either.

Anonymous said...

He has a PHD in sociology, yes sociology from that esteem educational institution, University of Missouri. Isn't that special? We ought to name the Meeks building after this clown. Why can we do nothing right any more? Have we mailed the Lamar Adams money back yet?

Guys, step foot on campus and you wouldn't be surprised. He is just one of many who believe this kind of stuff on faculty there...honors college, college of liberal arts, sciences. i once had a Math prof. talk about how all religion was bad!

Anonymous said...

Sure are a lot of tough guys claiming in posts what they would do with their guns, knives, etc. if they witnessed such an event. I call BS.

Anonymous said...

Pssst fellow Republicans, this guy and his ilk are the best thing we have going for us. Always remember: "Never interfere with your enemy while he's in the process of destroying himself".

"The next time some academics tell you how important diversity is, ask how many Republicans there are in their sociology department." - Thomas Sowell

Anonymous said...

Yea, that'll show him how tough you are. Walk into a nice restaurant and play with their food. You, sir, area a BIG BADASS! I'm shaking in my boots that you'll come after me next. What might you do? Spit in my general direction? Step on my Louis Vuittons at the JCC? Scary dude... you are going to reform the world, for sure. Just not from MS, I hope, but with the current liberal admin there, who knows.

Anonymous said...

11:47 - Exactly what are you saying? Are you suggesting that those of us who practice our constitutional rights would not be welcomed in your place of business? If so, please post name and address of establishment and we'll see if we can help with your public relations efforts.

Anonymous said...

I saw the President of the United States speak approvingly of assaulting reporters last night.

But, sure, an obscure Sociology professor merits more outrage.

Kingfish said...

Perhaps some conservative students should go to his class and stage a sit-in as has happened at other universities.

Anonymous said...

How do you perform a 'sit in' while 'sitting' in class?

Anonymous said...

Republican or Democrat, everyone acts the same. Quit pointing fingers saying how much better your party is. It's all disgusting. And it's worse that the same speak is coming from the highest office in power.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/19/politics/trump-montana-gianforte/index.html

Anonymous said...

I see folks have already posted what I'm thinking. It's terrible that a teacher encouraged students to put their fingers in food (yeah, that's nasty) but not one word about President Cheetoh praising a man who assaulted a reporter. Bad behavior is bad behavior. What is true now as it has always been is we affect the most change at the ballot box. Our children are exposed to far worse than this one man with his bad manners.

Anonymous said...

The Young Republicans and other conservative campus groups should protest this clown's existence on campus. He needs to be fired immediately for that tweet. This is not much different than the Meek guy in my opinion.

Anonymous said...

Yes, it was poor form for Trump to celebrate a candidate losing his temper to body slam a reporter.

What do we say of Barak Obama who purposely turned the power of government and media on a film maker to hang the Bengazi atrocity onto when Obama had the intelligence info and he know the film maker was innocent?

Anonymous said...

Have a 20 year old there on full academic scholarship who says if it wasn’t for the scholarship she would be gone. If you are not in a fraternity or sorority you are considered an outsider. Many if not most professors are liberal and do not allow opposing views.

Anonymous said...

The vast majority of students at Ole Miss are NOT in a frat or sorority.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.

Dr. Heddy Matthias and Lori Gregory will face off in the undercard dueling with dangling participles and other um, devices.
