KF just loves posting all this negative news about Jackson. Crime happens everywhere but for some reason Jackson gets special coverage on his little blog. Thanks a lot for all of your “help” stirring up the angry white folks against our capital city.
Yes, crime happens everywhere, but not like this. This is something else entirely. Watch the news. Multiple people get shot in Jackson EVERY day. It just seems normal to those of us who grew up here. Talk to people who live in similarly sized cities nearby. Shit, talk to people who live in MS, but have never lived in Jackson. They all think it’s the Wild West....EVERY FUCKING DAY.
Another messenger shooter @ 2:29 PM.
Every Day? You sure?
Yes, KF, I’m sure. I did t say killed. I said shot and multiple. Talk to an ER doc or nurse at UMC. EVERY DAY.
What will shock the lambs is how many shot do not get any medical treatment from a facility.
The 'Crime Happens Everywhere' yappers make me sick.
Crime Happens Everywhere.

If you think there is no crime in Madison or Rankin County, murders included, take a day off and sit in your circuit courthouses. The number of guilty pleas will SURPRISE you, but the number of sexual assaults on children will SHOCK you.
So was the deceased the poorer marksman? Seems like a real gunfight.
Mayes Street? That's getting awfully close to The Fondren. We are no longer accepting applications in Madison, so keep your powder dry. Lock and load.
You can always have a fire sale on your home and move closer to the CCJ. I hear they have some openings.
8:05 seems to be the dullard in the room. Nobody has claimed, EVER, that 'there is no crime' in ANY city. The claim, and let me repeat it for the dullard, is, There is no town in this state where per capita crime comes halfway close to approximating that which occurs year after year in Jackson, MS.
We love living in a third world city. If we didn't we would change it. We would elect judges to put more black men in jail. We love poorly performing schools with no moral compass. If we didn't we would change it. We love racist illiterate and totally unqualified city politicians. If not we would change them. Jackson is lost.
The homicide rate in Jackson is in most years four or more times higher than the rate for the state of Mississippi, but of course the state rate also includes Jackson homicides so that is still not a true representation of how bad it really is compared to the rest of the state. Somebody with more time than I have could crunch the numbers and we would see how abysmal Jackson really is. The last comparison I saw was that the Jackson rate was a little higher than even Birmingham (long notorious for its high number of murders), and the highest of any city in the U.S. with a population between 100,000 and 250,000. It's bad. Some of the rural counties sometimes go years without any homicides at all, and no other larger city/town in Mississippi comes anywhere close to Jackson.
Don't be a hater, 11:13. None of us wants to hear facts like those. It upsets our dream and our talking points. Please go away. Far, far away.
Wise Owl - spot on. I am shocked that JJ allowed your comment to be published, as however un-PC it is, the truth hurts (because it should).
Please excuse me KF. I know this is a Jackson Site. We lived in Meridian before moving back here at retirement. I served on the grand jury there once and went through 2 1/2 days of "this drug case" and "that drug case" I was sick of them and then suddenly they were over and we moved on to a mixed assortment of sexual pervert crimes against children and wife beaters. 20 minutes later I was praying, "I'm so sorry God. Can we go back to drug cases?"
It has been almost three years and there is one that still makes me sick. We had one where a lady sold her 18 month daughter to a 72 year old man for sex - she got enough money from him to supply her drug habit for about a day. They arrested her and then went after him. He heard they were coming and they found he had hung himself in his garage when they got there. I guess he saved the county some prison money.
There are sick-sick people out there. Jackson and Hinds County might be worse (you'll get no debate from me), but it isn't any different anywhere else.
Your concluding comment is nonsense, 11:21. See the post at October 27, 2018 at 6:43 PM - above. Educate yourself. This level of crime does NOT happen 'anywhere else'. Not even in most major cities. Learn to calculate per capita events.
