Something that doesn't get discussed. IHL data shows that ten years ago, JSU had about 10,000 students. Now they have less than 6,000 but receive more state funding.

When JSU has welcome events involving music it's impossible to keep outsiders off the campus especially when registration is not complete. High school kids and party types infiltrate by the hundreds. It's a law enforcement nightmare.

its interesting to me how people have changed. I graduated high school at the end of the 90s and came of age during what was arguably the height of Jacksons night life scene. We had bars like headliners, voodoo, the dutch bar, the sportsmans lodge, just to name a few, that were really fun places to be. In those years I think I saw one fight that I can remember.........Now granted, we were by and large a bunch of idiots, but I dont know, it just seemed like back then, adults acted like at least somewhat more like adults.
