JPD issued the following statement.
On Thursday, June 18, 2026 following an extensive investigation by the Jackson Police Department into thefts that occurred at the City of Jackson Impound Lot on June 1, 2026, at 4225 Michael Avalon Street, JPD Investigations Unit Detectives in collaboration with ATF, Marshal Service, Capitol Police and MBN, served a Search Warrants at a residence in the 500 block of Bounds Road.

Two additional suspects have been arrested in the City of Jackson Impound Lot thefts. They are; James Yelverton and Jessica Dickerson. Yelverton was transported directly to the Hinds County Detention Facility by a LE agency who assisted the US Marshals Service. Because he was booked directly into the Raymond Jail, his photos may be obtained from there. Yelverton had his initial appearance in Municipal Court yesterday and received a $500K bond.

42-year-old Jessica Dickerson (the female who allegedly drove the golf cart off the impound lot as seen in the still photos from the surveillance video) was arrested and charged with Business Burglary. Dickerson appeared in Municipal Court and received a $40K bond.
Kingfish note: Yelvertson was arrested in January for fleeing a law enforcement officer. The members of this little ring are suspected to be part of the Simon City Royals gang. The Bounds street arrests took place at 508 Bounds Street.

Bounds Street or Bounds Road? Google maps pulls up the frontage road intersection by A Complete Flag Source. Bounds Street pulls up a house (with a nice plot of land) at the corner of I-55 South Frontage and Bounds Road.
This gang started as an all white gang in Chicago some years back. It has expanded into the South and now has a racially diverse membership according to Wikipedia.
