This week host Grant Callen takes a break from arguing about school choice, taxes, and whatever fresh foolishness emerged from the Capitol to talk about something a little more personal: why we keep repeating the same destructive patterns and then act surprised by the results.
His guest is Dr. Branden Henry, a counselor who spends his days helping people untangle trauma, addiction, shame, fear, broken relationships, and the assorted baggage humans accumulate along the way.
They discuss why some people seem stuck despite having opportunities in front of them, how childhood experiences can echo into adulthood, why men increasingly seem lost, and what it actually takes for people to change. Along the way, they tackle personal responsibility, victimhood, loneliness, vulnerability, and the uncomfortable reality that fixing society often starts with fixing ourselves.
In other words, this episode is less about changing laws and more about changing the person staring back at you in the mirror.
