D.L. Gardner: Championships and Birthdays

Leading stories this morning were Knicks beat Spurs 94 -90 to win their first Championship since 1973! Followed by President Trump announcing he had won another war and would be signing an agreement with Iran today (Sunday), although Iranian leaders don’t think so. Breaking news may still happen… sometime. Finally, some soccer teams beat some other soccer teams, and FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) teams in Groups A – L continue the long championship until Sunday, July 19, in East Rutherford, N.J., at 3:00 p.m. ET.

In other news congressional Democrats say regardless of signing any agreement, Donald Trump lost the war, and the U.S. is worse off than when we began attacking Iran. In fact, they say Iran is more powerful than ever, and U.S. is in weaker position.

On FOX News Sunday, Senator Jack Reed (RI-D) smirked that “For a hundred days we’ve been hearing constantly there’s going to be a deal, there’s going to be a deal…the precipitating issue today is the president wants to give himself a birthday present and we have paid for it with hundreds of billions of dollars.”

Reed continued, “The point the president just made that they’ve agreed not to develop a nuclear weapon, they did that with president Obamba’s JCPOA. That was the agreement they held to not build a nuclear weapon. And we’ve disrupted the world economy, and we’ll be getting basically less than what we had under the JCPOA that President Trump walked away from so I think the one point I think you could emphasize is the strait (of Hormuz) will open.”

Nevertheless, I believe we are being distracted again by the media and the feuding congress. The elephant (non-partisan) in the room wonders how many terrorists President Biden and Democrats allowed to cross our open borders? How many of those terrorists are affiliated with Iran? How many are affiliated with China?

Remember, terrorists are more enemies than other nations. The goal of all terrorists is to disrupt. What is going on this summer in America that might be a target for disruption?

According to the USA.gov website: “The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) works to improve the security of the United States. The Department's work includes customs, border, and immigration enforcement, emergency response to natural and manmade disasters, antiterrorism work, and cybersecurity.”

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin expressed confidence in the agency’s ability to respond to any attacks or issues during the World Cup matches. In a comparison, Mullin said, “We have to keep in mind 78 Super Bowls in 38 days throughout the United States and 11 different host cities," he said. "Each one of those had to be treated like a Super Bowl.”

DHS and other law enforcement agencies have their work cut out for them. It’s even tougher when political forces impede the challenges. "We're ready," he said. "But I feel positive that we could have been even in a better position if we weren't having to deal with the gamesmanship of the Democrat Party through this whole political theater of keeping the Department of Homeland Security shut down." "The truth is, though, with the Democrats defunding ICE and CBP for 115 days and DHS for 76 days, it made it tough," Mullin said.

Celebrating championships and birthdays always attracts attention. Buckle up!

Daniel, once again you've lost the thread. Trump has not ended the war he started when he caved to Bibi, Israel and Lebanon are still going at it, Iran claims to have closed the Strait of Hormuz again, and we, the American taxpayers, demand to know how many billions of our dollars Trump wants to give to Iran to save face.

So the thing with Iran didn't turn out like he planned. So what? If this were one of his business deals he would simply declare bankruptcy and move on. Although he can't do that he can move on. Just enjoy the ride. MAGA.

President Trump recently stated, We can’t have a great country, with a dishonest press…I say, We can’t have a great country with a dishonest President.

Some people in Washinghton DC are saying that MAGA means Make Algae Great Again. If that's what they think it means, they could be right! Possible some of these people are visiting the new improved reflecting pool and are talking about the green water that hides the blue paint job that was recently done.
'
I feel like science is overrated and hope DL provides his wisdom on how they can fix this.

Tell me DL, did Trump send you the list of vandals who damaged the reflecting pool?

No, D. L., that’s not the elephant in the room. The elephant in the room is the little terror that unduly influences the politicians it buys — harumph, excuse me, the politicians who accept its political “contributions” and who unduly influences the news media.

So... we didn't "obliterate" Iran's nuclear capability (using Trump's verb)? Instead, we have a the "framework agreement" to get Iran to the negotiation table for 60 days.
The agreement includes a $300billion "reconstruction fund" for Iran. We agree to unfreeze Iranian funds and assets (could be tens of billions for Iran) and we " waive sanctions" just to get them to meet with us?
DL should first read the JCPOA agreement that was in effect (Trump gleefully " tore it up" but it had been published when signed) that included China, France , Russia, the UK, Germany and the EU just to give Iran relief from sanctions that were then in place.
I fear that our former allies don't trust us to keep our treaties and agreements with them anymore. I fear our President's impulsiveness; lack of good manners and ignorance of protocols now leaves us isolated.

Sock puppet city.

D.L., You need to start by reading the JCPOA agreement President Trump " tore up". It included China, France, Russia, Germany, the UK, EU, and the U.S.A.
Trump withdrew unilaterally from JCPOA in 2018 and imposed sanctions on Iran and THAT is when Iran re-started their centrifuge and enrichment program. Trump now is offering Iran $300 billion " re-construction fund" and removing sanctions just to get them to a negotiation table for 60 days. And, given Trump's lack of manners and hollow boasts, I doubt our other treaty agreements are consider worth the paper they are written on anymore. Indeed, the term " Gentleman's Agreement" assumes honor and trustworthiness and good manners as defining characteristics of the word " gentleman".
P.S. D.L. even a publicist ought to study a subject before he opines in public.

Trump is handling the problems with the Reflecting Pool, like my 4 year old twins when something goes wrong they blame each other or their older sister. This is a cosmetic overhaul, just wait for the toll of the mid terms.

I'll bet when Trump was a kid he went around kicking ant beds or shaking wasp nests then running away and bragging. What a guy!

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
