Ex-Jackson Academy Player Killed in Apt. Invasion (Updated)

Update (2/9/26): Jackson Municipal Court denied Myles bond on the murder (felony-murder) charge and set bond at $150,000 for the burglary of an occupied dwelling charge.

JPD issued the following statement.

At approximately 2:35pm this afternoon, detectives identified the deceased as 15-year-old, Kaden Young. Detectives also identified the second suspect in this case as 18-year-old Quintavion Myles. Warrants were obtained for Myles’s arrest.

At approximately 5:28pm detectives advised Myles had been arrested and charged with Murder. He was booked into city holding and is awaiting his initial appearance.

Myles

Kingfish note: The incident took place at The Park at the Inverness Apartments on Ridgewood Road.

Young was a freshman at Jackson Academy in the fall semester but is not enrolled for the current semester.

Too sad. Prayers for everyone.

Jimmy, you really are a terrible person. Your desire for clicks and bolstering of ego and narcissism knows no bounds. Let the family grieve. You are a sorry human being. God will judge you too one day.

Anonymous said...

You are really posting this about a 15 year old that made a bad decision?

Kingfish said...

WLBT broke the news at 8:34. JPD sent out a press release identifying him after 8 tonight. WAPT broke it at 8:19. Are y’all over there giving those tv stations hell for reporting it? Are you giving them hell for “clicks”. Of course not.

Anonymous said...

And yall read it, and still commenting.... its F****** NEWS! If you dont like it dont read and comment!!! Wonder which JPS school he came from

Anonymous said...

There’s no reason for comments. Shut it down.

A kid is dead.

Actions have consequences, and the reality is brutal. No excuses. But at 15, you’re still largely a product of what you were handed. That’s the tragedy.

Anonymous said...

Those are news outlets. You’re not. You run a gossip blog.

Anonymous said...

Those new outlets didn’t report where he was formerly enrolled at school because it’s not relevant to this situation. A family lost their 15 year old due to a bad choice.

Anonymous said...

What number does Myles wear? 25 to life?

Anonymous said...

Last time I checked a bad choice is real life... regardless of age, sex or race... we aren't in Kansas toto, u cant click your heels 3 times and perform a miracle.

Kingfish said...

Oh, it's you. What gossip do I publish? I've asked you before and you're too chicken to give any examples.

I remember the Kingston Frazier case. None of y'all griped when I broke the news one suspect was the recent qb at Ridgeland High School. Everyone is reporting this story because JPD issued a press release identifying the deceased and suspect.

What the hell was a 15 year old freshman in high school doing out at 2:30 AM breaking into apartments anyway?

The sooner Karma knocks on your door, KF, the better.

Anonymous said...

Why are JA defenders mad at KF? Does the news of this not align with “JA is bliss” narrative? This news outlet is simply reporting the news like all other news outlets.

Anonymous said...

Everything KF reported is news, so you snowflakes need to get over it, even if you’re afraid the facts reflect poorly on JA. I quite frankly don’t see why anyone would be upset over KF picking up something the mainstream media has already broken.

Anonymous said...

This boy was my friend and a great kid. It’s not his fault he grew up in poor conditions, this could have very well been a peer pressure situation. No one should speak down on him because no one knew him. May he rest in peace.

Anonymous said...

@9:11 if it knocks it should be fine.. if you kick the door in your as good as this stories main character. There are laws for a reason.

Anonymous said...

A 15 year old kid was killed. It shouldn’t matter where he formerly went to school and the headline shouldn’t lead with it. But, KF is capitalizing on the Voyles lawsuit and looking for clicks. That’s the problem.

Anonymous said...

I see this crap every day with my job... "my baby aint bad" "he didnt mean it" " I promise it won't happen again" and guess what even on Sunday they make "bad decisions". This one just won't make another one!

Anonymous said...

God will judge us all one day. We all need to keep that in mind.

Anonymous said...

I’ve yet to see a cohesive argument explaining why KF shouldn’t have run this story. I’m thinking the JA crowd is horrified that their recruiting has bit them so hard in the ass, especially with the Voyles case in the news, and these karma comments are them grasping at straws.

Anonymous said...

So you didn't know about this side of your friend reckless enough to home invade masked @ 2 am? You think he was dealing with peer pressure and you said nothing? Not sure you actually knew him either.

Anonymous said...

That’s the problem.

Not a problem at all. Free enterprise. Don't like it? Tough.

Anonymous said...

Does KF post about every teenager shot and killed in Jackson? If not, why this one?

Anonymous said...

Lot of JA campers mad Voyles was right lmao

Kingfish said...

I didn't see y'all griping about this post. Oh yeah, that's because it's them.

Kingfish reports the raw news and doesn’t leave out details. Sometimes it’s tough to swallow, but it is the news. Appreciate KF and what he does for the community bc we sure can’t get real info from any other news sources.

Anonymous said...

@9:25..... sir,mam... if I may..... 15 year olds are killed nearly everyday in the same city in which this happened. And some even younger. I don't think a lawsuit has to do with any of them, yet it IS reported about the judges and how gracious they are in that city and county. .... let me guess this "sunday school child " was merely going into the wrong apartment to get a bible to read... he won't do it again.peer pressured or not

Anonymous said...

I haven’t seen heartfelt message from JA memorializing loss of one of their own. C’mon JA. At least act like you pretend to care

Anonymous said...

@9:38, whatever KF decides to publish or not, isn't your call so your questions don't f'ing matter. That's the bottom line, you HAVE NO SAY in the decision making associated with KF's media business. Essentially, you are nothing more than a complaining ZERO.

Anonymous said...

Those criticizing KF for publishing news must think protecting JA is more important than posting relevant news. If I had a kid at JA, you are damn right I'd want to know he attended school there two months ago. It's tragic for everyone but don't yell at KF for posting news.

Anonymous said...

I think KF posts on at least 50% of the cases in the Jackson metro where someone uses a gun to defend themselves against a criminal committing a criminal act.

This alleged criminal just happened to be 15. His alleged accomplice was 18. Old enough to have a gun, old enough to commit a violent crime, old enough to kill, old enough to F*ck Around, old enough to Find Out.

Anonymous said...

Don’t know who these people are hating on Kingfish. JA people? One person commenting over and over again?

A 15 year old is way old enough to know better than to try to break into somebody’s home wearing a ski mask with a gun.

The people of Jackson should be allowed to know what allegedly happened. It’s public safety.

Anonymous said...

Never did it say he had a gun and if it did and i misread the tweet is LOUD AND WRONG

@9:41 unfortunately this group probably has no clue what verse you’re referencing.

I "grew up in poor conditions" also, but I was smart enough to not try a home invasion at 2AM with a ski mask and a gun. Stop making excuses. Millions of others like me who "grew up in poor conditions" fixed the problem by making good grades in school and moving on to be constructive citizens.....

Anonymous said...

"Great kids" don't commit felonious violent home invasions. Period.

Anonymous said...

I’m going to summarize some of the comments, in two categories:

1. Unless KF writes a story on every single crime in the metro area, then he can’t report on any of them without being biased and racist.

2. Calling out bad behavior is a sin.

That’s basically a criminal’s wishlist.

Anonymous said...

Kids, don’t run with gangbangers.

These kinds of stories need to be told to show that consequences are real.

Anonymous said...

Oh good grief Boomer. He was looking for “heartfelt messages” from JA people. I was simply directing him to the place he could find said messages. Kids use Snap, not a blog run by and commented on by adults who clearly didn’t have enough fun at their Super Bowl parties to be in bed already.

Anonymous said...

By all accounts of the kids who he went to JA with he was a very nice kid. Unfortunately his parents could not afford to send him there after Christmas. Prayers for his family and friends.

Anonymous said...

My 16 year old son knew this boy from JA and was very shocked and shook up by this. At the same time, he understands that the woman who shot him did the right thing by protecting her life and he’d want me to do the same thing in her position. This is just sad all around, but anyone with simple reading ability should expect to be killed breaking in a home in the middle of the night wearing a ski mask. Or at anytime wearing anything. If anyone enters my home illegally, I assume they are there to do us tremendous harm and probably kill us and I will shoot them. I don’t want to kill anyone, but at that point it’s them or us.

Anonymous said...

There are numerous crimes committed by high school age young men reported here and in the other media. I have not noticed KF making a point of their high school attendance in his headlines...until this one. It's OK though since KF makes no pretense about his feelings regarding JA. Expect no more.

Anonymous said...

I wonder if the easily triggered sensitive types know they aren’t forced to come here? But they do it anyways because they love it and they need it in their miserable lives.

Anonymous said...

Untrue. In no way does it reflect poorly on JA. It reflects poorly on the parents who failed him. Full stop.

Anonymous said...

Li don’t understand these parents that are mad at KF. Wouldn’t you like to know what type of kids are walking the halls with yours? Why are you even paying for private school when you can get this type of action for free at any of the publics.

The comments here criticizing KF for posting this or any other news story are pathetic. And many of these posters are likely too _______ dumb to realize just how much their pro-censorship, hide the news due to their personal greedy agenda’s…..affects lives.

Every action has a _______ reaction..…but you “suppress the news” tools are too ______ dumb to know that this story right here on JJ will have a major effect on the lives of some…..due to the decisions they will make simply by having this information.

If any of you meet anybody that has the balls to admit that any information about this murder should have been suppressed simply because the criminal attended JA, run like hell from that person. Because they are either evil, or really _______ stupid.

Anonymous said...

Actually significant details are missing here. Where is the bit about the break-in? And it’s likely felony murder charge (death while committing a felony). So I had to read elsewhere.

Anonymous said...

Overlooked item in this story is the 18 year old was charged with murder, per local news. In other words, he got the 15 year old killed. Seems like a step too far to charge the other perp with murder. Homeowner made a righteous choice. Those thieves could have easily stolen her gun and used it on her. BTW, why did they pick her apartment? This is a relevant story for Northeast Jackson for many reasons and KF was professional in providing just the facts, m'am.

Kingfish said...

Overlooked? It's right there in the post. Try reading it.

Anonymous said...

The 18 year old was charged under the well-established principle of imputed intent. A home invasion is just a whole 'nother level of crime. If the parents cared enough to send him to JA for a semester (and he wasn't recruited for football), where was that care when he was out at 2:00 a.m.? I'm sorry, but that kid's death was entirely avoidable BY HIM.

Anonymous said...

MS has a "felony murder" statute. Hopefully the 18-year old will be charged under that statute. Jody could pat himself on the back if this is charged.

These stories are important as they may educate and deter other yutes from such felonious foolishness.

Anonymous said...

It is news and should be posted. But why do the medial outlets (including this blog) link him to a former school? We see this in a lot of reporting now; so-n-so got arrested doing this or that, he/she was a student at X school, X team, X profession, worked for X business, attended X event; in most of the cases this information is not pertinent to the reason for the arrest.

In this case, a former student and a case that appears unrelated to the school of his choice; is it news to report the specific school? Is there a trend of bad outcomes with this school? (likely not)

Anonymous said...

I wonder why they chose this apartment. Was it random? Did they know the resident?

Anonymous said...

I wonder why that particular apartment was broken into and how the shooter was able to get her gun so quick.Probably a lot more to this story. But two criminal kids are off the street and society MAY be safe from them for now.

Anonymous said...

I think it’s only a matter of time before there’s violence on that campus.

Anonymous said...

I tell you exactly why it’s pertinent. These type of crimes involving JA students typically don’t happen. Completely out of the norm until lately

Anonymous said...

How dare KF report on news that I don't like! I had no issue with the news that Spencer Pittman went to St. Joe, but this is totally different because my kids go to JA. Unrelatedly, @7:46 this has nothing to do with "principle of imputed intent" it's felony murder plain and simple—if anyone dies (including a conspirator) during the commission of a violent felony everyone involved can be charged with murder.

If these young men would have just asked the young lady what they wanted in the early hours of the morning wearing masks they would probably get, a yes, no or Im calling the Police response.
We have to do better raising our children, start real young, say no and mean it!
I thank God for all the no’s! If you won’t or can’t raise your youngings two things will happen; the sheriffs bed and breakfast will house them or the undertaker will but them IN THE GROUND.
My suggestion buy a life policy, this may ease the grieving process!

Anonymous said...

8:03, you were wondering how she got her gun so quick. I’m guessing she didn’t have to be quick. The perps probably knocked on the door to see if anyone was home. They didn’t get a response because she was too scared to answer the door at 0230, but it gave her time to arm and position herself. Imagine their surprise after kicking in the door to be greeted by muzzle flashes.

When 2 brothers were reported years ago & picked up for breaking in cars the 1st words out of Grandma’s mouth is “They don’t have no daddy.” Mother had sent them from IL where they had been in trouble at 13 &12 yo. Responsibility lies solely on the parents or whomever has custody. Law enforcement can of baby sit or turn around all young persons after 15 to 18 years of no consequences or discipline in a home. I am sorry for the person who had to protect their life by shooting someone. This was not I am sure what they wanted either. Know that it could have been you killed at 2:30 am as well. You have our prayers also.

Geez, I disagree with KF on many things but this is the only credible news source covering the metro-area. WAPT/WLBT/WJTV are jokes. The CL is always days late when they finally decide the carry something. Ms Today? Oh please no!

Anonymous said...

@7:46 AM, why shouldn’t the school information be posted? What about the cases that are “pertinent?” Exactly what is causing your thirst for censorship?

Parents have a right to know everything about every school in order to make what are incredibly important decisions that will likely have major effects on the lives of their children for decades to come. @7:16 PM on the other thread stated “The market will determine if it (JA’s recruiting of non-tuition paying players) is Okay.”

So let’s make sure “the market” is well informed about everything JA…..so parents can make an educated decision as to where they should spend large amounts of their money on a private school education (to a school that may be putting pretend state championships ahead of the students with parents that pay).

When they finally realize their ship is sinking some of them get mad.

It's not fun when they realize they might have picked the wrong ship and captain to trust their children with.

Can they help with saving their ship? Or do they just need to get in the lifeboats?

If they are here pissing and moaning, that's a choice. A choice that misplaces the blame for all the water coming through the holes in their ship.

@9:26 AM - Let me help you. "n Mississippi, felony murder occurs when a death results from the commission of a felony, and it can lead to severe penalties, including life imprisonment or the death penalty. The law assumes that if a defendant is engaged in a felony, they possess the intent necessary for a murder charge, even if they did not directly cause the death.

Common felonies that can trigger felony murder charges include:
Robbery
Burglary
Arson
Kidnapping
Rape

Too many are making wrong choices that hurt them and others. Then I read the comments. I understand why the young ones are allowed to live this life when the bleeding hearts are defending the illegal actions as ok since they are: poor, did not have a good upbringing, he got in with wrong crowd, he was on the streets, it’s our culture. He was 15, too young to die for any reason, especially by violence. You self serving idiots wasting your time griping about a news article does not negate the fact he and other youngsters are playing dangerous games with their lives. And no body in their life seems to care.

this case kinda reminds me of that incident over in eastover back about 2016 when 2 disadvantaged youths attempted the kidnapping and car jacking of a retired doctor.
little did they know the retired doctor was also an accomplished competition shooter.
as a matter of fact the doctor was in the process of loading his truck to travel to a competitive shooting event.

the doctor managed to get to one of his many guns and ice the first disadvantaged youth and the other took of running and was later captured.
(considering the speed he showed running away he too probably would have made a good JA football player as well.)

the news media and law enforcement moved heaven and earth to suppress that incident but the truth leaked out eventually .

im still waiting for the city of jackson to throw a ticker tape parade for the doctor.

I am not speaking on behalf of the entire JA family—that is not my role. I am speaking only for my own family, though I am confident many others feel the same.

Many of us learned of this tragedy last night. Many more will learn of it today.

I heard about it from my son, who played football with this young man. He didn’t know him well, but he knew him well enough for this to affect him—and I’m certain it will affect many JA students who were former teammates or classmates. My son and I had a long conversation about the sanctity of life, the reality that tomorrow is never guaranteed, the influence of the people we surround ourselves with, and the fact that actions carry consequences.

The last thing he asked me was whether I thought people would use this tragedy as another opportunity to trash JA. I told him I hoped people would have the decency to allow some time before doing so. I was wrong.

To be clear: I do not excuse or condone the poor decisions and circumstances that led to this tragedy, nor do I fault the homeowner for defending their home. I would expect the same outcome if my own child were involved in similar activity, and I would have taken the same action to protect my family if I were in that situation.

I also want to be clear that I don’t personally know this young man. I don’t know the circumstances surrounding his enrollment at JA, his departure, his family life, or his home environment. It’s entirely possible that he lacked a positive male role model. Speaking personally, my own life trajectory was dramatically altered by a few men who chose to invest in me—one of them my high school football coach. Prior to COVID, I spent several years in prison ministry mentoring inmates, and a recurring theme I heard time and again was the absence of a father or positive male influence at home.

It’s possible that JA was the best place for this young man to receive that kind of influence—if he wasn’t getting it elsewhere. Or maybe not. We’ll never know. And I’m certain a thoughtful, honest discussion about that will not take place on this platform.

So, to those who view this tragedy as a victory in your crusade against JA—congratulations. You win. I hope you enjoy the celebration. I’m sure I’ll see many of you at church on Sunday.

For the record, I never supported illegal recruiting, if that did in fact occur. But I also don’t support publicly trashing kids and their families simply because they chose to enroll at JA during their high school years. Both are wrong. One is not more righteous than the other.

Feel free to direct your criticism toward me if you’d like. It won’t matter—I’m signing off this platform for good and won’t see it anyway. N

Nobody "wants" to trash JA; folks want JA leadership to be held accountable for admitting students with questionable backgrounds, including the one that just broke into an apartment armed.

Anonymous said...

Still no official word from JA on this matter? That is unbelievably inept! Especially, since the targeted home was that of another JA student

Anonymous said...

Prepare to be surprised.

Anonymous said...

This is not about JA. Get a life. A kid tragically died. At least have the common decency to refrain from trashing the kid. Also, the kid was not a current JA student. Why would they post an official message about him? Again, get a life.

Anonymous said...

Notwithstanding 2:22’s diatribe, reporting on a burglar’s death does not constitute trashing that person. The trashing I see in these comments are against the JA supporters who trashed KF for simply reporting the story.

Anonymous said...

Why did they target the apartment of a current JA student? What were they trying to steal?

Anonymous said...

Their trashing why he mentioned his “former school”. What was his current school and why was that not mentioned. What school did the 18 year go to?

Anonymous said...

It’s seems like to me that theJA community is doing all the bashing on here. Yall had a student athlete die committing a felony, sorry but that’s news. Maybe JA doesn’t know how to handle it but some public schools deal with it all too often

Anonymous said...

Actually, there is a connection and a reason why this is pertinent; hasn't been publically reported yet, but as the facts come out you might learn the 'association' with the kid's former school. Gotta connect the dots, but the entire picture hasn't been put in front of you or the public yet.

Anonymous said...

Sorry…meant to reply earlier. I was tending to my life, my family. Yes, as sad as it may seem to you, my life revolves around family. And, when I choose to spend 20K to send my daughter to JA, I’m concerned. The vetting/admission standards at JA are lax at best. My daughter is my world, and I’m no longer comfortable with her at JA. The emphasis on sports is paramount, and academics has seemed to take a back seat. Today, when I asked how her day went, she said everyone was talking about the former student. I asked what the school said about it, and she said nothing. How does a school not say anything to students who are all clearly talking about it. Does JA really think this is going to dust away in a few days without addressing? Leadership seems non-existent

Anonymous said...

I have a 10th grade student at JA. He isn’t involved in sports but knew him. He is devastated about his death. He cried when we talked about this tonight at home. This is a human being.

Folks- A 15 year old kid is dead. It’s horrible. No doubt about it. Don’t bash him. All of us are more fortunate than him.

JA- address it, help out grieving kids. He was enrolled a month ago.

This is horrible no matter what

Anonymous said...

@7:48 just curious what firsthand knowledge do you have regarding the school’s vetting and admissions standards?

Anonymous said...

@8:17 PM is correct - “This is a human being.” “All of us are more fortunate than him.”

And as parents we should step up like ADULTS and tell our children exactly why this 15-year-old human being was less fortunate. We should teach them why horrifically murdered innocent 6-year-old Kingston Frazier was less fortunate, why the 2 children killed inside of their homes by stray bullets within a 10-day period, were less fortunate.

And most of all we should call out the idealistic, change the world, rich JA’ers that got behind and supported Chokwe Lumumba early on…..helping make Jackson, MS EXACTLY what it is today. And those same people want JA to be a certain way as well…..but we can’t talk about them, can we?

We never hold anybody accountable for these disastrous tragedies. We just keep hearing _______ excuses.

Anonymous said...

@3:22 "Nobody "wants" to trash JA"...Nobody "wants" to trash JA"....Nobody "wants" to trash JA??? .......You gotta be kidding.

Anonymous said...

You had a nice nice post until the “rich JA’ers” supporting Chockwe got you off the rails.

Anonymous said...

That's not totally "off the rails", it's not a bad assessment of part of the problem. Wealthy, entitled, sheltered, falsely-virtuous Dem voters who voted for Chockfulashit so they could feel good about themselves. And, like most on the left, they are seen here cowering when presented with facts and less-than-glamorous truths about real life when they are directly impacted and not looking down from afar upon their lily white pedestals.

We just had a young thug killed and another teen charged with murder and home invasion. It happens in Jackson too often and we have a short discussion. We never discuss the school they attend. That's never a relevant point. It never seems to matter. On this blog it seems the only relevant factor is Jackson Academy. Why is that?

Anonymous said...

So many JA blue bloods are big mad at this factual, criminal story.
Seems they were far less mad when a Carolyn's private non-relevant emails were made public?
Weird.

Anonymous said...

@9:54 AM if memory serves the school was also reported when a thug murdered Kingston Frazier. The fact that JA being mentioned bothers you is one thing, but fact that you ask this question with all that’s recently happened at JA, is shocking.

@7:43, you’re either in the know or ill-informed. How about “silver spoon fed” supporters of Chockwe?

Anonymous said...

Y'all complaining about this being published. Let this be a lesson to teens that think they know better. Heed this warning, adults do not play around when you choose to mess with their homes or or businesses. Adults have grown tired of being victims of criminals. Is your life worth a little bit of money and a few trinkets? Don't make the mistake that you value our belongings more than you value your life. DEATH IS FOREVER.

Parents, let this incident act as a warning so young Kaden didn't die for absolutely nothing, but over his own stupidity and callous desires to invade someone's home. Discipline your children, teach them right or wrong in the most egregious manner. You may save their life!

Anonymous said...

@9:54 name another example of a JA student being murdered while committing a felony. I’ll wait forever because it’s never happened. That’s why it’s relevant. We pay almost $20k/yr so our kids don’t have to go to school with kids committing felonies. Call that racist or whatever you want but you can’t say it’s not true.

Anonymous said...

11:03 No, the dog whistle was KF's headline not the robbery and shooting itself which is the point of 9:54. It got the intended reaction. Congrats KF

Ben said...

Please explain how a clear, concise, factually-accurate headline is a f**king "dog whistle"? Quit using terms you don't understand to obfuscate and deflect away from subjects you don't want to discuss. That's disingenuous and ignorant.

Anonymous said...

I love this blog and appreciate Kingfish for doing this, but people are upset that the only school mentioned in the headline was the former school JA. Not the 15-year-old's current school or the school's history of the 18-year-old. There seem to be selective mentions of schools. It received clicks and comments, so I guess it served its intended purpose.

Anonymous said...

Disingenuous, yes. Ignorant, no.

@11:03 knows full well what he/she/they want to accomplish. First, bully Kingfish to pull his punches. Second, intimidate Kingfish's publishing decisions going forward. Third, find a way to seriously harm, and better yet, shutdown JJ -- a legal private business.

Name just one other media business in Mississippi that willingly engages the comments and opinions of its audience in such a way as does JJ. Kingfish could shitcan their comments every single day but instead he allows them the protective cover of anonymity and reliably they seethe the absolute ugly that lives amongst us.

No single journalist in Mississippi has exposed more in the past decade+ than Kingfish and the left/liberals/Democrats/alphabets/alt-journos/racialists/haters won't tolerate anyone impeding their efforts to control the narrative.

THOSE ARE THE FACTS.

Anonymous said...

How many times are going to deposit a variant of the same comment?

Anonymous said...

KF is reporting the NEWS. Factual news.. Just because You do not like it does not make it untrue. Just because it backs what the parents suing JA says, does not make it untrue. Look, I see both sides here, but KF is not the problem.

Anonymous said...

What 10:27 said 💯

Anonymous said...

Love anonymous comments because you can actually get the truth without the fear of being labeled racist, fascist, xenophobe or any of the other catchy terms Dems like to throw around these days. I would love to see JA put out an anonymous survey surrounding current trajectory of school. The results would be eye-opening to "leadership"

You forgot the RINOs.

Anonymous said...

I like coming to JJ for the legitimate news that I on occasion stumble upon here. KF does do a deeper dive than most on certain stories. But some of these comments are sickening and indicative of many of the troubles that plague our society. I know, I know…..I’m a snowflake. But, some of you people really need to spend more time with Jesus. Seriously.

That was the driver. The two others went free.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
