A measles outbreak began in Texas recently. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. urged parents to get the MMR vaccine for their children if they had not been vaccinated. Mr. Kennedy promoted the vaccine in a column on the Fox News website:
As the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, I am deeply concerned about the recent measles outbreak. This situation has escalated rapidly, with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reporting 146 confirmed cases since late January 2025, primarily in the South Plains region. Tragically, this outbreak has claimed the life of a school-aged child, the first measles-related fatality in the United States in over a decade. Measles is a highly contagious respiratory illness with certain health risks, especially to unvaccinated individuals. The virus spreads through direct contact with infectious droplets when an infected person breathes, coughs, or sneezes. Early symptoms include high fever, cough, runny nose, and red, watery eyes, followed by a characteristic body rash. Most cases are mild, but rare complications can be severe, including pneumonia, blindness, and encephalitis. Prior to the introduction of the vaccine in the 1960s, virtually every child in the United States contracted measles. For example, in the United States, from 1953 to 1962, on average there were 530,217 confirmed cases and 440 deaths, a case fatality rate of 1 in 1,205 cases. The current Texas outbreak has predominantly affected children, with 116 of the 146 cases occurring in individuals under 18 years of age. The DSHS reports that 79 of the confirmed cases involved individuals who had not received the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine, while 62 cases had unknown vaccine status. At least five had received an MMR vaccine.... Parents play a pivotal role in safeguarding their children’s health. All parents should consult with their healthcare providers to understand their options to get the MMR vaccine. The decision to vaccinate is a personal one. Vaccines not only protect individual children from measles, but also contribute to community immunity, protecting those who are unable to be vaccinated due to medical reasons.... Column
The Wall Street Journal's editorial page posted some facts about measles that are apparently ignored in social media on February 17:
The tragedy is that this doesn’t have to keep happening. In 2000 measles was declared eliminated from the U.S., meaning 12 months with no continuous spread. Immunization has saved millions of lives around the world since the vaccine became available in 1963. The peril isn’t small. “About 1 in 5 unvaccinated people in the U.S. who get measles is hospitalized,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “Nearly 1 to 3 of every 1,000 children who become infected with measles will die.”
The number of cases continues to climb in Texas. The Texas Department of State Health Services reported yesterday:
The Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting an outbreak of measles in the South Plains region of Texas. At this time, 198 cases have been identified since late January. Twenty-three of the patients have been hospitalized.
There has been one fatality in a school-aged child who lived in the outbreak area. The child was not vaccinated and had no known underlying conditions.
The CDC reported there are 10 cases in New America (formerly New Mexico). A second measles patient died in New Mexico.

We will see now two types of comments: lefties blaming the antivaxxers on the right, and righties blaming leftists for allowing illegals to enter the country.
But this is not the time to blame each other. This is a time to act together. So vote to stop illegal immigration and get your family to the doctor or pharmacy to get these vaccinations!
And no, your stories of surviving measles as a kid does not mean anything. The kids who died cannot post here. So keep it.
He's saving lives!
Actually, RFK did not promote the vaccine. He asked parents to talk to their doctor about the vaccine. There is a difference. The Mennonites are not eschewing the vaccine on religious grounds. Rather, they seek medical advice on the internet and what their friend group on The Book of Faces recommends.
The Mennonites are seeking advice on the internet?
Please do not vaccinate your kids …let them die
Mennonites live the ideal life. There entire lifestyle is centered around serving God and avoiding the influence of demon worshipping globalist vampires.
You are completely ignorant. Let's take a look at the Measles before/after Rockefeller's Healthcare Industrial Complex took over the world for infinite profit by keeping us sick and in fear of getting sicker.....

@11:20 Yes. The Mennonites use the internet, especially email. They avoid social media and have a buddy system and use web filters. They have to use the internet because they do global missionary work.
@11:46 But they aren’t dying. And Mennonite kids and adults are far more mentally, spiritually, and physically healthy than the people putside of their community.
Measles outbreak? Gee, I wonder who brought that deadly disease into the U.S.? Thanks Joe.
Hey folks! Y'all are missing the point. RFK, Jr. is the very same whackadoo that stated on Fox News in 2023 the completely stupid idea vaccines cause autism. This means he has actually promoted the idea that people shouldn't get vaccinated, and is probably responsible for some parents not getting their kids vaccinated. Now that he is no longer pandering to fringe groups, he's flipped his switch.
I exclusively date anti-vax women, because 8 yrs of child support is better than 18
vaccines do cause autism. every Autistic child has been vaxxed. No unvaccinated child has ever been diagnosed with Autism.
Prior to COVID, among the VERY few positive, national-example, respected-leadership things Mississippi had going for it was the stance of our government - all three branches and especially the MSSC - on vaccinations. See, e.g., _Brown v. Stone_, 378 So. 2d 218 (Miss. 1979). And yet again, someone - well, a fair number of someones - just had to go and fuck that up, too.
There are no "vast conspiracies" about anything because it is simply not possible for 100s of thousands of people to "conspire" on anything. As far as "hiding" ingredients in a mass-produced widely-dispersed product that anyone can easily obtain and test, again, it just isn't possible. It is akin to trying to conspire with 100,000 people to hide the Goodyear blimp in Times Square. It just is not possible because, first and foremost, there are just too many eyes on it, and two, in simple terms three people can keep a secret...as long as two of them are dead.
Any thoughts on the measels outbreak in Texas being attributed to the mass numbers of “undocumented persons” flowing across our southern border from points unknown? Seems like a logical explanation to me.
@3:44 so you’re converting right?
RFK Jr. has spoken in a non-batshit-crazy way about a problem that he very aggressively helped create . . . and we applaud him for it.
We are so desperate for competent leadership, who treat their position as a public trust instead of private and personal agendas, I don't know who much more we can lower the bar.
Measles outbreak? Gee, I wonder who brought that deadly disease into the U.S.? Thanks Joe. This plus the 150 million culled chickens in December 2024 are gifts from Dementia Joe.
9:39 am Please do you own research. Put in your search engine, " which states have the lowest rates of autism". Print that out.
Then put in " which states have the highest rates of vaccinations". Print that out.
Now put in which states have the lowest rates of vaccinations. Print that out.
I think you'll see that the states with the lowest incidence of autism also have the highest rates of vaccination.
Now, see how many countries give their children vaccinations ( start with measles). I hope you can add that high.
Serious side effects happen in less than 1 in 1 MILLION. And these children were immune compromised or had an underlying serious disease that had not been diagnosed.
Kids with smart parents and healthy parents are usually healthy and smart. The first is genetics based on the IQs of both parents who give birth to healthy babies will have a baby whose IQ is not lower than that of the lowest parent. Healthy parents know how to stay healthy and they had parents who looked after their health. Or there's isolating your family completely, but there's a huge list of negative outcomes for that one!
I don't know what cause autism. None of us do. But , I do know of a woman who had quadruplets and one is mildly autistic and the others are all very healthy and bright. I know there was no autism in either side of the parents or grandparents or great grandparents families. They all resided for generations in one area of one state. So, if I wanted to research the cause of autism, I'd start with the mother's pregnancy experience in detail and an expanded worldwide DNA study. Every country has children with autism so I expect there is a recessive genetic gene or incompatibility of genes. Good research starts with a good sample of the population. That most research has geographical limitations may be part of the problem.
Taking medical advice or implementing policies from those who have no expertise or experience in the field of medicine under discussion at all and their only knowledge is from their 4 year basic degree decades ago is assuming an unnecessary risk!
RFK jr studied law and economics. And, that his own family questions his mental health should add to your concern. His second wife committed suicide He is 71. I personally am very suspicious about a man that old whose muscles (he's shows them off frequently) aren't developed by weightlifting or exercise or vitamins. I saw 71-year-olds at the gym every other day for decades. They don't look like that. Even Arnold and Stallone had stopped taking off their shirts for a reason as has my relative who own and operates a gym and still works out and lifts weights daily and is a decade younger than RFK Jr. He also didn't start out with a slender upper body and skinny legs. He's There's a time when everyone added " for his age" to how good he still looks as skin ages and he hasn't done plastic surgery. Look at RFK Jr.'s photos from 10 years ago until now. He didn't just get more muscular, his entire body shape and face changed in a rather short period.
@10:37 AM I can debunk this easily. Fluoride is literally poisonous. It causes pituitary glad calcification. But if you talk about it then everyone thinks you are kook because they are conditioned. That is all it takes. Use sitcoms and people like David Letterman and Bill Maher to condition people to mock the truth. That’s how you get to the state we are in today.
You don’t needs hundreds of thousands. You need dozens at the top using subliminal messaging (the fear of being mocked) to do the rest.
Please take no vaccinations and also do not use any medicine. Stop chemo. Stop using aspirin. Please stop getting the polio vaccine. Take your kids outside the eat grass when they feel bad and do load them up with hydroxicrazy. And let the lord save you all!
Whenever I need advice on carpentry I run immediately to the Amish as they are far superior to Mennonites in every way. Amish stucco? The best real stucco made.
11:23: Here are my thoughts, as requested:
Mexicans did not force anyone in Texas to not get a measles vaccination.
I can't claim to know what the future holds, so I won't. But when a bunch of redneck MSGOP'ers are fanboi'ing for the drug-addled would-be scion of the Bobby Kennedy branch of that particular family, who is only in the spotlight because he was appointed by a largely failed NYC douchebag "developer," (who they are also fanboi'ing), things are damned sure getting...odd.
Not for nothing, but as a doctor of considerable education, training, and experience, my thoughtful and considered medical opinion is that he is fuckin' dipshit who doesn't have the slightest understanding about which he babbles. I realize some, like lil' Booby, er, Bobby, may not understand technical language, but OTOH, some folks don't understand anything anyway.
How much per word are you being paid?
Stop making sense!
The thing is though, that can be a high paying job with lot of influence.
