Update (11:50 AM): Arrington is dead. A Leake County deputy was shot in the leg during the standoff. Madison County deputies (at the invitation of LCSO) breached the house with their Bearcat. Once breached, deputies threw tear gas grenades into the home.
Arrington set fire to one end of the home and move to the other end where he began firing at law enforcement officers who returned fire. The house eventually went up in flames. Arrington did not leave the inferno.
Update: WJTV reported:
Leake County Sheriff Randy Atkinson said the suspect, 22-year-old Dylan Arrington, was believed to be barricaded inside a home on Conway Road Wednesday morning.
The sheriff said the home is currently engulfed in flames. He also confirmed that a deputy was shot.
The Leake County Sheriff's Office issued the following warning on Facebook:
Leake County Citizens, we ask that you be extremely cautious during this time. If you have suspicions of a trespasser on your property, please notify the Sheriffs Office, appose to taking matters into your own hands. If you hear noises, see something/someone, please notify us!Attached is a photo of the escapee. He is believed to be wearing dark colored sweatpants and a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. Use extreme caution and notify emergency personnel immediately!

Time for this @$$hole to take a dirt nap.
Might is code word for we really don't f'ing know.
The deputy that was shot is going to be ok. He was shot in the lower left leg.
The suspect has been shot and killed by law enforcement.
If it is indeed him, maybe he will burn up in that fire. That will prepare him for his eternity in hell.
Lots of MHP SWAT headed down Hwy 471 about 8am this morning.
Just heard the manhunt is over, suspect is deceased.
Subject has been killed. One deputy being airlifted to Jackson with a gsw.
I hate it for the victims but I am pleased the tax payers wont also be victimized.
Enjoy Hell, you POS. You worked really hard to ensure your entrance was approved.
What a blessing-
Have they recovered a body? Reports are saying they are waiting to extinguish the flames to do recovery, so how do they know he was shot and killed?
I'm thankful there are good people willing to risk their lives to protect my family from bad people.
Thank you.
That is great news! But now what happens to those poor folks whose house has been destroyed. I wonder if homeowners insurance will cover something like that?
@11:54. Insurance, if they had any, should since the destruction of the house wasn't caused by the homeowner(s).
One down three more to go.......
"I've seen a lot of things, but I've never seen a situation where a structure was engulfed in flames and an individual inside of the structure started firing shots at law enforcement on the exterior," (Sheriff Tyree) Jones said.
Two words: Po Folks.
Thug got his just reward.
Hate that the property owners lost their house, but no better way for this punk to leave the earth. Started his departure in an inferno, and no doubt will continue for enternity in a similar state.
Thanks to the LEOs for their fine work and risking their lives for the rest of us.
He escaped
Now going to work for trump and his cabal of murderers
Good riddance!
Don't know what jail was like for this guy, but sounds like he wasn't about to go back. Blaze of glory and all that stuff.
The tear gas grenades may have started the fire.
I'd like to thank the Shit bag Arrington for helping out us taxpayers of MS.
1:14 he truly lives rent free. How one likens an ex-president to this POS is beyond me. No matter your political affiliation, we can all rejoice this POS is dead.
Ole Dylan is getting ready to have dinner with the devil.
Ought to charge his parents for bills related to problems and expenses incurred that their love child caused.
Now who is going to pay for the Dead Preacher funeral expenses & family support? Who going to pay for all the jacked vehicles? Who going to pay for the burned up house?
That why we have prisons. Keep the criminals away from law abiding citizens.
The body will be burnt to cinders. We'll never know if it's Dylan Arrington, Osama bin Ladin, or John Wilkes Booth they're pulling out of there.
Let me guess - he was a proud graduate of the Jackson/Hinds catch and release program.
Hinds County Sheriff, you have to keep the inmates away from the public. Dang, some of Hinds County Judges are letting the inmates off easy and then they are walking out of your jail.
Can’t always blame it on the structure of the facilities. You are now are connected this fiasco Sheriff.
Just being real
The body will be burnt to cinders. We'll never know if it's Dylan Arrington, Osama bin Ladin, or John Wilkes Booth they're pulling out of there.
Says someome with no dental work (maybe no teeth) who doesn't know no better, apparently.
Hinds County Board of Supervisors
New jail!
@1:52
The tear gas grenades likely did start the fire.
But this blogger will only approve comments from cop bootlickers.
Something is wrong with the photos attached to the article. None of the LEO appear to be looking at his cell phone. Never mind that none has his weapon drawn.
Ons down, three escapees to go! Find em and light them up also! This is best tax saving strategy I’ve seen in Mississippi yet!
I tried to tell ya’ll about Tyree. He ain’t the right person for the job! Total incompetence!! Now y’all see for yourselves!!
Imminent domain can be used by the homeowners to be reimbursed by the police dept for the damages incurred.
Unusual and expensive cremation. Saved us taxpayers a ton of money.
6:48 This ain’t about Tyree personally, it’s about the lackadaisical employees he hires that has absolutely no Supervision/Direction from Command. You just can’t put an average Joe in the pods to oversee Inmates and think he/she can manage. Especially when they can’t hear or see!!!
Now the inmates will certainly not respect an officer when they look like they’re going out on a night on the town.
Officers have to look, act and dress appropriate and stay awoke! Dang, I know you’re gonna nod.
The Sheriff is doing a decent job, he just have to get the right personnel in place.
Signed
