The Madison Police Department issued the following statement and mug shots.
On December 7, 2022 at approximately 2:43pm, officers of the Madison Police Department were notified by associates at Best Buy located at 175 Grandview Blvd concerning two females that were currently inside the store concealing items. Officers responded to the area and began surveillance. While doing so, an additional set of females were observed exiting the store with other stolen items and concealing them in a vehicle in the parking lot. After concealing the stolen items, the females were observed entering Ulta Beauty where they concealed several items without paying for the merchandise.
Once these females exited the parking lot, officers conducted a traffic stop and recovered the stolen items from Best Buy and Ulta Beauty. The items recovered were in excess of $1,000.00; therefore, they were charged with felony shoplifting. While this traffic stop was ongoing, the original females exited Best Buy and were observed by officers concealing a large quantity of merchandise in the trunk of a vehicle in the parking lot.
Officers were able to detain the two females and recovered several items of merchandise that were not paid for. These items totaled well in excess of $1,000.00; therefore, they were also charged with felony shoplifting. Further investigation revealed that the same individuals were responsible for a theft at Best Buy earlier in the month of December.
Those arrested were identified as Mikiara Williams of Baton Rouge, LA, Dimecia Williams of Baton Rouge, LA, Lakota Edwards of Baton Rouge, LA, and Rachelle Bindon of Baton Rouge, LA. A total of $17,129.00 in merchandise was recovered by officers and returned to the retail stores. The case will be presented to the Madison/Rankin District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
Charges on each individual are as follows:
Mikiara Williams
Felony Shoplifting X 2
Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
NO BOND with a hold for out of state agency
Dimecia Williams
Felony Shoplifting X 2
Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
Total Bond: $150,000
Rachelle Bindon
Felony Shoplifting X 2
Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
Total Bond: $75,000

Welcome to the land of no blessings. They should have done their deeds in Jacktown but there are few nice stores remaining there.
There ain't no blessings coming from Madison.
There actually are lots of very nice stores in Jackson.
I won't be home for Christmas....you can count on that. I won't be home for Christ.....mas cause I broke the law in Madison.
Those cops just ruined someone's Christmas.
I put $50.00 a week in a Christmas Club at my bank so I don't have to do this.
Well, Well, there's 4 tigers not going home anytime soon!
I don’t know why anyone would want to live in Madison with all of this nonsense going on. Definitely not the beautiful town that I grew up in. Move out while you can, and the last one out turn off the lights. I won’t be a victim.
Why are they all from Louisiana ?
Rachelle got somewhat a blessing Felony Shoplifting Felony x2 and Conspiracy to commit a Felony Bond $75,000.00 USD. Her two compatriots listed above her have the same charges but doubled her Bond at $150,000.00 USD. Mikiara, well what can I say. Bring your s*it here with outstanding warrants, you get to linger here, Madison County Detention Center, with us for awhile longer.
Enjoy your stay ladies.
Not the proper thread here but looks like Mississippi missed the Hyundai plant that went to Georgia....
Can U imagine how much shoplifting go undetected!
Somehow these shoplifters confused Mississippi for California.
They were told Jackson was lawless. Didn’t know Madison was not part of Jackson! It’s in the area!!
They’re victims alright. Victim of laziness. They all look so defiant. Must be side affect of the China Virus Vaccine. Those who got it better watch out. Y’all be next.
The only Hyundai project looking here went to a shuttered GM plant in Georgia a long time ago.
The reps sat in my office and they all smoked cigarettes….had to go find ash trays for them.
@3:14
Nobody has anything good to say about the cars made in Mississippi. We’ve nearly bankrupted Nissan. And somehow we managed to turn the domestic Corolla into a total POS!
Cudos to the City of Madison government. Mayor Mary is the leader and our police and other city officials and workers are the best!! I for one will sing their praises....especially since I moved here from Jackson 5 years ago and have seen how a municipality can work for its citizens when competency is present. As for the Police Dept., they take the PROTECT AND SERVE montra seriously!!!!

What retail store do you own or run in Madison?
The Baton Rouge Best Buy and Ulta have them on their radar, so they had to branch out. But, when determining risk, they evidently confused Jackson with Madison.
Wow, the first time that they shoplift they get caught. They were most likely obtaining Christmas gifts for the poor kids in their community.
Ruh Ro!
@3:50 PM Walmart loses more than $3 Billion a year to shoplifting.
Madison is incredibly dangerous. The folks who constantly hate on Jackson are living in a bubble.
“Do you really need all that sh@t” bad Santa
Traffic stop? So, the PoPo allowed the get in the car and drive away? Sounds pretty dangerous.
From Baton Rouge, one and all. I find that odd. I bet these old gals went from city to city doing this, spoking out from Baton Rouge to other cities, never having to hit one place too often. I'm glad to see that Mississippi still prosecutes crimes like these, unlike San Francisco et al., where stores are closing because shoplifting is rampant and has been decriminalized.
We can thank Baton Rouge for sending us their thieves. There are two Best Buy stores and three Ulta stores in Baton Rouge. I suspect that these ladies are too well known there and have already been "trespassed."
Now they will do some prison time in the Sip.
Wonder whose credit card they used at Bonefish while in town. These gals are too classy to dine at Taco Bell or a gas-station Penn's.
There’s a lot of places to shoplift between Baton Rouge and Madison. There’s more to the story than what the Sherlocks on here have opined about.
December 10, 2022 at 3:03 PM, don't just imply there's more to the story, give us the details.
"The reps sat in my office and they all smoked cigarettes….had to go find ash trays for them."
Why didn't you have the balls to tell them it's a non-smoking building and lead them out back?

3:03 - The 'rest of the story' that you're wondering about is the fact that they hit many more local stores between Baton Rouge and Madison County. Vicksburg probably suffered the most during their tirade. There was no roof damage at Carter Jewelers in the Pemberton Mall to draw a large crowd, so they passed them up.
It's Miz-Mayor Yer-Honor Hawkins-Butler who brought all these cheap-ass store fronts to Madison-The-City that's Not For Sale in the first place. Prove Me Wrong!
Can we get some proper lighting on these mugshots?
Really makes the Madison Police Department look bad when cell phones take better pics
I feel like a "good job guys" post is relevant here.
Not just to commend Madison PD, but to the commenters for not taking the troll bait in this thread.
It really says something about Madison's success when the insults can simply be laughed off as silly nonsense that are so hilariously untrue that we don't even entertain the jealous lot.
Proud of you all. Keep it up!
Proud to live in Madison County in this day and age.
Madison busts ring? Good job guys? So, the PoPo got a call, responded and made arrests. Pretty routine. To 'bust a ring' requires investigative work, planning, execution. Meanwhile the mayor takes a victory lap while ribbon cutting another cheap store front.
