Will He or Won't He?

Is State Senator Christopher McDaniel going to run for Lieutenant Governor?

From Ellisville to Eupora, he's got a captive audience of back-woods "Plandemic" conspiracy theorists who still believe Trump won the election (because he told them so). That base can't elect a Lt. Gov. His political shelf life has expired...

Anonymous said...

Of course he is! "We hear he is considering to run" was planted by him with the coo coo birds who are still mad about Cochran's win. There are a lot of things that are lining up that might push him to victory unfortunately, namely that the ultra radical wing of the coo coo bird party has been beating the anti-vax drum since long before Covid. Going through life at risk for measles, mumps and rubella used to be scary and insane, but now with all of the anti-Covid vax sentiment, he might pull it off. Just look at the flavor of this piece "they" put out.

A jar of horse worm pills in every household will be their slogan. Get ready Marshall Ramsey.

Why Lt Governor? Delbert is much more popular than Tate. Maybe not with the Trumpers I suppose.

@10:07 and 10:09

Well Bless your hearts!

I think he definitely wants to but his problem will be raising money. The anti vaxx nut case moms will be kicking in 20-30$ here and there but I don’t see any big money coming in, although that is not everything. As a previous poster stated the anti covid stance helps the anti-everything vaxx folks and McDaniels chances. I certainly would not underestimate him but his 9 lives are running thin.

Hoping he runs. Would rather he be in the US Senate. Uni-party politics and their kool-aid followers are destroying the country. And yes, Biden is a complete fraud and is the beneficiary of a stolen election. How Pollyannish do you have to be to believe otherwise?

Anonymous said...

So what if he runs? Our elections are completely safe and effective and keep us inoculated against such enemies of our freedom and democracy.

I fully support Chis McDaniel. I love how an unfiltered, and unapologetic warrior of truth, absolutely terrifies the lemmings on the left. I also love how he often low-key quotes George Lincoln Rockwell and Dr. William Luther Pierce!

Anonymous said...

He’s one of few Republicans in the state I wouldn’t vote for. Didn’t the dude try to change the flag back to the stars and bars? He needs to go away.

Anonymous said...

I hope he runs.

Anonymous said...

Serious post, would love to hear other's perspective on this bifurcation in the MS GOP. The Barbour legacy wing, and the McDaniel/libertarian wing.

I for one am hoping he runs that way he will no longer have any elected position to spew his hypocrisy from. Talk to anyone that spends any time in the capitol and ask how often he shows up or better yet go sit in the senate gallery and see for yourself. That guy is the worst of career politicians.

Anonymous said...

I'm not anti-McDaniel. Having said that, I would certainly hope we could find some better candidates.

Anonymous said...

Good riddance for Delbert. Now who is challenging Wicker? He has been responsible for destroying the country. We need a Patriot to challenge him in 2024!

Anonymous said...

11:45
Nailed it, he is never there unless he gets to speak from the well. I wonder why/how his constituents and followers don't see that??! He doesn't move the needle, not even close.

Anonymous said...

11:45 is right. Anyone that knows what goes on at the capitol knows this guy has duped a ton of people. They just have no idea.

As a former Jones County resident I can say without question that Chris McDaniel is an absolutely horrible person. He, like most politicians, pull the wool over people's eyes. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not vote for him. Literally vote for anyone.

Anonymous said...

Yes, he started a flag petition the day after the new flag went up. I think he has sensed that anti-vax plays better than pro-confederacy, but don’t put it past him to ride both.

Anonymous said...

He provides the perfect contrast to Delbert. My family will support McDaniel. Delbert is a Democrat.

Anonymous said...

The Don is keeping Chris in reserve to threaten Cindy and Roger if they don’t jump on the Trump bandwagon for 2024.
Look out Roger,if you don’t join up we will nail you in the Republican primary.

Anonymous said...

Impassioned defender of the rebel flag mississippi flag, as recently as two years ago, on the floor of the MS Senate. Screw him.

Anonymous said...

He should get out of government altogether. Government is meant to serve ALL the people's interests even though it does not. His talents would be better utilized in a private organization dedicated to the interest of a single group, belief, or race. That way he would not need to take hypocritical stands which he really does not believe.

Anonymous said...

McDaniel didn't defend the rebel flag. He defended the right of the people to vote on the issue. Big difference. We should have been allowed to vote.

Anonymous said...

If he runs, it all but guarantees that his opponent will win, ala Trump in 2024. He should team up with Beto in Texas, another loser.

Anonymous said...

Chris- Count this Rankin voter as a supporter , to hell with the uniparty and the woke loving rino’s.

Anonymous said...

Not him again!

Anonymous said...

He is a moron and the people commenting on his Facebook look at me rant videos are just as moronic. I had a legit question one time and asked him. He danced all around the subject and basically told me to f-off for questioning his stance. The pine belt pimp will not win an election to a higher office. Least we forget how childish he was after his last loss.

Anonymous said...

I have voted Hosemann since the 90’s but I have to go with McDan on this one.

Anonymous said...

All I need to know is that McDaniel will never attend a WEF cult gathering in Davos. That’s enough for me to support him 100%

Anonymous said...

Go Chris!

Anonymous said...

Will Michael Watson be his little campaign boy again? Jump Mike!!!

10:18 -- Both Tate's name recognition and his favorables FAR exceed those of Delbert. I would suggest some data for you to develop your conclusions instead of conversation at the coffee shop at Whole Foods in Northeast Jackson. As a further shock to you, McDaniel's name recognition and favorables aren't far behind Delbert's.

Anonymous said...

The Mississippi version of Beto O’Rourke. Get back to me when he accomplishes something.

Anonymous said...

It’s telling how you can’t decipher Democrat from Rino views on McDaniel. Both are obsessed with stealing from middle-class Americans and go nuts if anyone gets in their way.

Anonymous said...

Moderates don't win GOP primaries in Mississippi. McDaniel will defeat Delbert.

Anonymous said...

"Plandemic conspiracy theorists", "anti-vax", "anti-Covid vax", "anti vax nut case moms". Looks like the blue-pilled beta cucks checked all the boxes. Hilarious. Herd animals.

Anonymous said...

No one will vote for that loser except a few backwoods militia boys. He is the shining example of what currently plagues the right wing. We are starting to see the repercussions for their years of putting political points over facts and there’s still a lot more to atone for.

Anonymous said...

It seems pretty likely that the current divisions in the GOP will birth a new party that caters to Trump worshippers. Chris would definitely fit in with those lost souls so wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to stir the pot and take some votes from the party that shunned him.

Anonymous said...

Run Run Run!

Anonymous said...

Politicians take office and just do what they want anyway. What difference does it make, then, whether I vote for a bombthrower or some other guy who bases his political identity on having paid actors mispronounce his name?

Anonymous said...

This guy is not a Republican & can't figure out what to run for so he runs for everything! Heck why not?

Anonymous said...

It's clear from these posts that McDaniel stirs up the Democrats. It's interesting, however, that not one post is defending Delbert. Hilarious!!

The criticisms aimed to McDaniel are the very reasons he will beat Delbert. He's seen as a Trumper who fights the system. Remember, this isn't Oregon. It's Mississippi.

The fact that a state senator creates this type of hellraising is evidence of his influence on Mississippi politics.

If he runs, Delbert is in trouble because McDaniel will be seen as the conservative alternative in a state full of conservatives.

Anonymous said...

@11:24– I bet he can get Alex Jones to endorse him. I wish all you conspiracy nuts would get a tattoo on your forehead so the rest of us could stay 11 feet away from you.

November 15, 2022 at 2:17 PM

Better check your facts, Anonymous at 2:17. If your claim was true, please explain how the statewide office holders got to where they are (including of course, Hosemann). You can certainly make that claim in a few county or district elections, but this would be a statewide primary.

Actual facts show that there are a few of your ilk that win primaries (check Desoto county legislators for good examples). The difference is that there is a broad span between being a "moderate" and the spectrum that Chris - and evidently you - inhabit.

Not that I would be happy to see Delbert be reelected (too supportive of the Democratic policies) at least he is not a right-wing crazy like Chris.

Anonymous said...

Reading these comments tells me there are a lot of people scared of McDaniel and his refusal to toe party line orders. The dems don’t like him and the Good Ol Boy Republican’s/RINOS don’t like him..

Sounds like a good choice to me! If the swamp is against him, I’m for him…. Lol

Anonymous said...

Is McDaniel a nut? Likely.
Is McDaniel a whiner? Definitely.

But the Cochran campaign ran ads on black owned radio stations saying blacks would lose the right to vote if McDaniel got elected. Another ad said Blacks would be banished to the back of busses in public transpiration.
Of course the local "journalists" ignored it all and it took the Daily Mail to archive the ads so people could hear the lies.

The McDaniel haters hold that deceitful ends justified by deceitful means.

Anonymous said...

McDaniel - the modern day Shawn O’Hara…please sir do not embarrass yourself and us
Mississippians.

Anonymous said...

I once thought Chris was crazy. Then I met him. He's a good guy.

Anonymous said...

St Mc for or again Trump in the primary?
I’ll be for or against depending on his decision on the issue next week.

If he is a Statesman, he will not hide his opinion.

So Chris, what is it?

Not named Greg, but I've met him said...

757, those ads were not run by the Cochran campaign; they were run (only on a small local radio station) by a notorious politico trying to turn out black votes for a local special election for his buddy running for circuit clerk.

Yes, there were several that tried to attach them to the Cochran campaign, but after the Daily Mail made the accusation there was some deep dive into them and the source was discovered.

You probably know of the person behind them, but don't want to acknowledge that the McD claims were proven to be false.

And - that has nothing to do with how Chris would fare in a LG race; but after seeing the depths he dove to following his loss, I'm sure it will be an exciting few months.

“The McDaniel haters hold that deceitful ends justified by deceitful means.”. Thank you 7:57

Does breaking into a room at a nursing home and taking pictures of patients count for anything?

Anonymous said...

Oh, I forgot to add, what about rummaging through ballots in the courthouse basement at midnight?

Anonymous said...

Anyone but Delbert.

Anonymous said...

Lots of negative comments. I’m guessing this is a portent of things to come - establishment, swamp dwelling Republicans painting an actual conservative as crazy. People like Delbert are why the GOP didn’t do well last week. People are sick of the status quo and will get behind someone willing to buck the establishment like DeSantis. Our GOP “leaders” are not conservative. Run, Chris, run.

Anonymous said...

3:48 : "The fact that a state senator creates this type of hellraising is evidence of his influence on Mississippi politics."

No, the fact that so many people dislike Chris is evidence that he was/is an embarrassment to us and our State. His super-size ego, his constant whining, his extreme rightwing views... he's like the AOC and Rashida Talib of the left, only on the other extreme. Just as I don't like the far left wing extremists, I don't like the far right extremists either. They're just blowhards who create a scene but actually accomplish nothing. List one accomplishment of Chris' state legislative career ? What's his actual attendance record ? Oh, yes, he yells and screams and says what you want to hear, but what has he actually accomplished other than making noise ?

"Does breaking into a room at a nursing home and taking pictures of patients count for anything?"
November 16, 2022 at 5:43 AM

POST OF THE DAY, 5:43 !!!!

I'm waiting for your answer,7:57. Does the end justify the means ? Was it ok for Chris' supporters to do that ? Was it ok for Chris' supporters to be going through the ballot boxes at midnight when no one else was around ? Don't be a hypocrite.

Anonymous said...

“ painting an actual conservative as crazy.”

You know it’s entirely possible to be both.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Chris has the cash on hand to mount a serious campaign.

But then again he is in a firm of trial lawyers. Maybe one of the jackpot justice verdicts has come in and he's ready to open his pocketbook.

I just think he is a self serving dude who likes attention, but when it is time to put your head down and do the work he isn't at his desk in Jackson. Go look at his record of attendance. He's been absent for years.

Mississippi is structured such that the Lt. Gov could be the most powerful position in statewide politics if the person sitting there does the work and has the loyalty of the Senate and cooperation of the house. That could be a really good thing for conservatives if the Lt. Gov can get along with people. Unfortunately that isn't Chris McDaniel. He is AWOL and everywhere he goes he sows dissention among the people he should be cooperating with.

Getting the work done in government so much more than being likeable in person or being a "PATRIOT, a fighter for our rights".

Anonymous said...

How do you turn people into sheep?

Tell them an election was stolen & ask them for money.

Anonymous said...

The power of the Lt. Gov position comes from the Senate rules. Senators hate him so much that they would strip the Lt. Gov of all power in the .001% chance he beat Delbert. McDaniel may be the second coming for some far-right conservatives but they would be disappointed as soon as he got in office and the senators neutered his power.

Anonymous said...

8:36 Or convince them that destroying privately owned business is mostly peaceful protesting, eh?

It's plum' adorable when sheep on one side call sheep on the other side names.

We few sane people that remain, mostly laugh at both sides which seem to be rife with delusion and extremism.

But by all means, keep defending your favorite flavor of lunatic with blind abandon. They'll distantly appreciate your contributions for as long as it benefits them, and offer absolutely no return on your investment. Brilliant.

@7:31 am—I agree with you 100%. My exact words all the time.”Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right ,here I am ,stuck in the middle with you”

Kingfish said...

Yup. Tell that to Country Meat Packers, a victim of cancel culture in Mississippi after the 2014 Senate race.

The good news about losing our young people and college graduates to other States is that the crazy wing of the GOP can find a home here.

@10:08 AM

The young ones are already coming back home because they got fired from Twatter and Faceberg.

Chris has my vote.

Chris is an honorary major general in my militia!

Anonymous said...

Run Chris, Run! We still haven’t forgotten how you were robbed of your rightful title as senator. There are legions of McDanielmaniacs just waiting to make our voice heard loud and clear throughout the state Capitol as we send the Rinos packing.

Anonymous said...

How many Rinos has McDaniel saved his militia men from? How has he moved the needle and what has he accomplished? Seriously I want legit answers (facts on paper) on what he has accomplished?

Anonymous said...

@3:45 PM
He makes crypto-commies and RINO-cucks like you seethe and show your true traitor colors!

Anonymous said...

A clown that inspires people to go to the extreme. He doesn't even live in his district! He preaches right and wrong to everyone else and has an empty homestead house in Ellisville. I hope he runs and abandons the district he represents but doesn't help. Delbert is hoping, too, I bet.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
